Hello all...I am having a problem with my Monli girl. It is kind of long, forgive me...but I really want my beautiful girl back.

 

Reinstalling Skyrim on Windows 10, I found the great mods on LL, one of them required ECE (Tera Elin 2). I have always used RaceMenu, but it had been a long time since I had used it anyway, so I uninstalled it and installed ECE. Then I tried out the Monli race (I actually have v4.6 installed, not the rebranded "Teen Monli"). Well I fell in love with a character I made. I tweaked everything exactly the way I wanted. When I decided to keep Monli and drop Elin 2, I thought I would go back to RM, aware that she might look a little different. Like an idiot I didn't export the face, I just saved it in a preset. I installed RM and was horrified at how she looked. My Imperial girl was pretty hideous too. So, I uninstalled RM and reinstalled ECE. At first, I accidentally chose the "cheekbone fix" and when I loaded her, she had a fat face. So I reinstalled it without the fix, and it's not the right mesh. She just doesn't look right. I've been desperately trying to get her to look exactly as she did, but I can't seem to do it. I've tried reinstalling Monli, trying the head mesh from the Edited v2.1 Monli Race file (since I use the body from there), trying the head mesh from the Teen Monli archive, changing my load order, I have also tried all of Ran's headmesh variants and to no avail.

 

Sadly I only have one screen capture of her, which I took right before switching to RM. I also took a capture of another one of my characters, whom I also cannot seem to get to look the same. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping someone will recognize the headmesh or something. I just don't understand why installing everything the same way again doesn't retain exactly what they look like. Here are the two "before" Monli and Imperial photos, then the "after" Monli. I cropped out the nudity.

 

EDIT: I've deleted the pic of my Imperial...I took a second look and her head mesh does look the same as it did. So it's just my Monli that isn't right.

Using Mod Organizer?  Create a new profile and install ECE, Monli v4.6 and all required mods for the race including textures, hairs, body replacers you want to use for the Monli; do not install any other mods.

IMPORTANT

Open the MESHES > CHARACTERMAKINGEXTENDER folder and look for the INI file "CME_VanillaRaces.ini".

Open the file with Notepad (preferably Notepad++ or Sublime as these preserve the formatting).  If you installed the mods correctly (ECE first > Monli second) you'll see the following lines:

 

[Race]
EDID = MonliRace, MonliRaceVampire
SliderIni = commonTriRaces\HumanRaces_Slider.ini
Preset = MonliPreset1.slot, MonliPreset2.slot, MonliPreset3.slot

 

If you do not see those lines then you need to reinstall the Monli files to overwrite that file (CME_VanillaRaces.ini) with the Monli's version.

Start a new game and when you get the opportunity to customize your Monli, load the CME save (slot save; preset) unless you saved over that preset.  If not, do not touch any sliders.  Make note of what weight you gave her or else you will get a neck gap when importing to RM.

 

Option #1

Look at the options at the bottom of the screen and you should see one for the Export Head feature.  After exporting the head NIF and DDS files, uninstall ECE and install RM.

In game, load showracemenu and make sure the character's weight is the same as when you created her in ECE, failure to do so will cause a neck seam or gap.

Access RM's Sculpt feature.  If you forgot what weight you gave your character then you must apply a Mask completely around the neck seam.

Import the ECE exported head nif.

I can't guarantee when exporting the head to RM will yield any desireable results, I remember trying this and the RM face did not perfectly match the ECE face.

 

Option #2

Instead of using ECE's Export Head feature, you can Chargen Export which was made for the importing of ECE presets to RM.  Chargen Export was released before ECE added the export head feature, but the purposes are the same.

Follow the instructions to export the ECE head files.  Importing the head NIF to RM is the same as I explained in Option #1.

Again, I can't guarantee she will look exactly like she did when using ECE.

 

 

One final note, Tera Elin 2 is compatible with RM.  The major difference and the reason I chose only ECE as required is because of the extra morphs which only works with ECE.

I forgot to mention that after successfully recreating your character's face in RM, save it as an RM preset then leave the game.  Change your profile in MO to what you were using previously, start the game, enter showracemenu and choose the new preset.

Thank you so much for your help. But, I'm holding off attempting a port until I get her face right. My problem is that no matter what I do, I can't get her face to look like how it did before the fiasco. I also tried tweaking her face in case the issue was that one of the sliders got reset or something, but it just isn't working. I can't make her face shape anything like the original.

 

And now I have a new problem. Her body looks perfect when I load up the game save, but when I enter showracemenu her hips become massive. I like this look on my Elins, but it looks disgusting on my Monli. I uninstalled the Elin body I'm using in case that was what was causing the issue, and it seemed to stop temporarily. Then all of a sudden it started up again. I have no clue what could be causing this. It doesn't affect my Vanilla races, whom use the UNP body.

 

If I had just left it alone and hadn't tried to switch from ECE to RM, everything would have been perfect. Now everything I touch is turning to shit. I am completely stumped by both of these issues. The body is definitely worse, though.

Reinstall ECE then install the latest XPMS Extended then reinstall Monli.

Go to MESHES > ACTORS > CHARACTER > CHARACTER ASSETS FEMALE and copy the 'skeleton_female.nif' to MESHES > ACTORS > CHARACTER > MONLI.  Overwrite the skeleton that is there.

This might fix the massive hips.  The Monli has not been update to use the current version of XPMS Extended and so you'll have to replace the old skeletons with the new ones.

 

Have you sorted your load order with LOOT?

Thank you, PsychoMachina! That fixed my body issue. It's perfect again. I haven't used LOOT before. I've never had a problem with load order (a little with Oblivion, but I was always able to fix them myself).

 

This is completely off-topic, but I'm extremely curious if anyone else recognizes what game the blue dress Fox27c is from. It's been a long time since I've played that game (in fact I had a hand in translating it!), and I was really surprised to see it. That was back when I wasn't a newbie in modding games, lol. Those type of games are a piece of cake to mod next to Skyrim.

Also, I think I've been being a bit of a tard with trying to get her face right. I think it IS the right mesh. I just panicked when it looked like her face didn't exactly match the ONE photo I had of her.

Fox27 is for CBBE (at least that is what is mentioned in the Thank You text) so replace the Monli body/hands/feet with CBBE or variant.

The Monli body I'm using is a CBBE variant. The problem is that the clothing is min weight only. When I place her at min weight, the wrists match up. It's not a big deal as I don't plan on having her wear it anyway.

Hello I am knew here and I have a few questions in regards of installing this mod. First, the cbbe texture files on mega is down so i can't download the textures, 2nd, I have no idea where to put the "MAIN_tEEN_mONLI_rACE V1.1" files that i just downloaded. It is a file whioch contains option body, 00 core etc. Is there a detailed walkthrough or something?

Does someone tried to use Monli Race together with Immersive Citizens (Ai overhaul) mod? Everytime I load save with Monli girl game just freeze on loading screen.

Freezing at loading screen usually means the game is struggling to load along with whatever mods you're using.  Try an earlier save made while indoors and little to no NPCs around and after the game loads the save, proceed to load the game save you want to use.

But without this mod save loads fine. I've tried just turn on/off it. I also tried to load clean save (save without any mod with skipped starting scene) with Monli race and Immersive Citizens together and got same results.

Try loading the clean save with only the Monli race (no Immersive Citizens).  If you still get the load screen freezing then there has to an error with installation.  If the game loads normally then the first thing that comes to mind is what is posted on the Immersive Citizens page posted in red.

Installation
You can use any mod installer such as NMM, WB or MO.
For a manual install, download the main file and the compatibility patches (if needed), then extract the file(s) into your Skyrim data directory: ...\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\data 

Additional Notes:

• The first time that you load my plugin, the first loading screen will be frozen for some time (it takes around 30 seconds for me). If you have a low rig, it will take more times. Once this step is over, the loading screen duration will return to normal.

 

When using both Monli and Immersive Citizens, wait awhile to see if the loading will eventually finish.  You might have to wait a few minutes, but if what Shurah states is correct, all subsequent loading screen durations will return to normal.

Hi PsychoMachina.  I've been using this race for a long time and had no issues, but I recently updated RaceMenu to the newest version, from something around 2013.  Now when I go back into the game, I've lost all of the extra body sliders (breast, butt, etc) on the Monli.  I use the UNP version.  Not sure how to fix it!  Thanks for any help you can provide.

I'm having a issue with the male, when using SOS he has two penises one unusable the other the Shlong. While the animations work the double penis is a bit of a eyesore.

Hi guys!

  So far i didn't find anything about Teen Monli with CBBE HDT collision, so i made it a try on my own. Guess what: made it! Now i have all my female npc's and my Monli having HDT and hands/feet/boobs/belly/bottom/vagina collision! If someone is interested, i can tell you how i did, but i'm making just now a patch, if anyone wants to do a beta test on it, i will upload it on my google drive and share the link with you. (i really don't know yet if i can post it anywhere, coz it's contents are not my own, i just collected them and put together for my own Monli). Finally, my beloved Monli is no longer a Barbie doll!

  BTW, i'm no modder, i can't edit xml's or any other thing, so if something isn't perfect, don't blame me.

  Here are 2 screenies of my Monli, i find her cute.
