Guest Lehshara Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Previous title: Alpha screenshots leaked New Title: Multiplayer Gameplay. Yesterday @Mystogan released 58 images from Battlefield 4 Alpha version. Looks very nicely polished especially for one of the Xbox consoles. Everything seems so crisp. I like the new customization screen. Specifically how it appears you can see everything very clearly at a quick glance. I think the statistic bars will be nice to see how much each attachment actually changes the weapon. To see all BF4-Alpha images just click this link: BATTLEFIELD 4 - ALPHA - - - - I almost forgot... http://battlefieldo.com/attachments/dinos-png.2701/ ...Interdasting isn't it? @Update, Multiplayer Gameplay Released. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-MKqySuVSg&feature=player_embedded
Thulas Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 I wonder how they will set up their classes; I hope they won't let the asault-nurse become more supportive than the actual support-class. That allways bothered me. The custromisation screen may be sorted, but the weaponstats "handling", "Range" and "Accuracy" need to be explained clearer if they want it to be useful. For example a graph that indicates how fast the weapons accuracy fails in longer ranges, or simply add a picture of a crosshair that indicates how high the spread is. Is this a...Kitten-Sona in your signature?
Angrybird Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Battlefield has lost its soul to try and be more like CoD, just another shooter.
Guest Lehshara Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 -SNIP- Is this a...Kitten-Sona in your signature? Yes, It's kawaii. Battlefield has lost its soul to try and be more like CoD, just another shooter. For the record, Battlefield came BEFORE Call of Duty. So comparing or saying that BF is trying to copy COD is totally pointless Both titles are different worlds, however They're both going for a modern military look, so that's probably why a lot of people compare them. Battlefield 1942 came out on Sept. 10 2002, the first Call of Duty came out on Oct. 29 2003, a full year later than BF1942. Battlefield 2 went into the modern era on June 21 2005, Call of Duty 4 went into the modern era on Nov. 6 2007. Two entire years later. So if you are suggesting that the latest Battlefield games, are copying or trying to be like Call of Duty games, take class on FPS history. If anything, Call of Duty was mimicking the Battlefield series. Sarcasm aside, can't people compare games without accusing that one is trying to be another. But yeah, before Battlefield and Call of Duty were released there was Medal of Honor, so we can say that Battlefield copied Medal of Honor and MoH copied DOOM which was released even earlier - Thus the cycle continues. Battlefield went further than Call of Duty, every time a new Battlefield title is released there is a lot of changes, for example: game mechanics - While Call Of Duty titles [for several years] are the same game that was released in 2007y just with new: maps / weapons / story line. Tho, Call of Duty went in the direction of the gameplay a little bit more than Battlefield. The latest Call Of Duty: Ghosts will be the same as Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Infinity Ward lied about "all-new engine" (To create Hype of course) which later came to light, Infinity Ward stated that COD:Ghosts is not using "new-engine" but it's still the same old engine they were using for years, just upgraded visually / technic. I know that Battlefield titles are using the same engine FrostBite, but in fact it is constantly being upgraded - Not like IW engine which was upgraded for the first time (Truly first time) after 8 YEARS - Call of Duty games are still using old IW engine that was "created" in 2005, And COD: GHOSTS will use it too. Nor I hate either BF or COD because I enjoyed playing some Battlefield / Call of Duty titles.
windpl Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Most likely fake. Knife customization do not fit here.

"Battlefield has lost its soul" means that it had one in the first place meaning that I'm talking about Battlefield 3? Both tittles are exactly the same expect for vehicles, even the maps got smaller.
ChancellorKremlin Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Battlefield just went down the drain from 1942 onwards. I was surprised how much the managed to fuck such a simple formula up. Huge maps, lots of vehicles, fun gameplay, ships. SHIPS DAMN IT! Scratch all that and what have you got? Small maps, static objects, fewer vehicles, and 100% emphasis on counter-strike style assault mechanics. So yes, Battlefield has definitely lost its soul. I can't even tell the difference between BF3/4 and CoD these days.
Angrybird Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Yeah it was already a pain to pilot the jet in vanilla 2 I can't imagine it now.
ChancellorKremlin Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 My heart is buried int the sands of Midway, waiting to be revived. Now *that* was a level... Gigantonormous ridiculously oversized battleship Yamato with huge fucking guns? Hell yeah! Beautiful coral island with sandy beaches and wavy palm trees! Hell yeah! Submarines? Yes! B-17's with state of teh art independently targeting particle-beam phalanx? Sharp sticks?! YEAH BABY! OK, maybe not the last two. CoD ain't got shit on that. Nor does any of the following BF's either. Bring me back my battleships and we can talk.
Jerbsinator Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 So I have never been into this whole COD vs Battlefield craze but I've been tempted to get Battlefield 3...just cause it looks fun (And I enjoyed 1942). Would it be pointless to get 3 when 4 is coming out or should I just not get it at all?

Would it be pointless to get 3 when 4 is coming out or should I just not get it at all? If you are going to buy BF Title just wait or pre-order Battlefield 4, there's no need to buy BF3 if BF4 will be released soon. @Update, Multiplayer Gameplay http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-MKqySuVSg&feature=player_embedded
paladuin Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 ill post this here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mychAfpsK4Q commander mode ( only for tablet users)
windpl Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 ill post this here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mychAfpsK4Q commander mode ( only for tablet users) Where is that "only for tablet users" part?
dmen77 Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 I think this is hinted since it has only been shown through a tablet. Whether this is true or not may come later.
windpl Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 I think this is hinted since it has only been shown through a tablet. Whether this is true or not may come later. Then why there is cursor there, and on tabled version there is none? Tabled is an addon.
dmen77 Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Yeah, seems you can do it on anything (PC, console and tablet). I was referencing information from the EA conference yesterday where they showed it off by using a tablet. You are right that they use a mouse for much that is shown and in the upper right hand corner there is a backspace symbol to access the Battlelog.
Guest Lehshara Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 You can access Commander mode via phone. EA will probably release version for IOS.
windpl Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Unnecessary thing if you ask me. I wish that they concentrate on balance such as making weapons a WEAPONS not a damn pee shooters. - But seeing on that video that some of this guys play on PAD I'm quiet sure that they will remain as pee shooters. And for god sake don't make DLC that divide player base because ATM no one is playing them at all.
paladuin Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 yeah i was wrong about commander being only tablet heres another new video on it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJwmN-eMk7U
leddis3 Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 This is EA, so DLC that you will be required to get or be left behind in the runnings for top Soldier Boy of Soldier Boy Simulator #52 is pretty much a given. Oh well, the stupid phone/tablet gimmicks are worth a laugh though.
Babychucker Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Battlefield just went down the drain from 1942 onwards. I was surprised how much the managed to fuck such a simple formula up. I can't even tell the difference between BF3/4 and CoD these days. To be fair there are going to be ships in Battlefield 4. They better really focus more on vehicle combat in this game, Battlefield 3 was a huge annoyance for me.
Nonsense667 Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Apparently the Chinese ads strewn about in Battlefield 4 are in fact, just absolute gibberish, that don't make any sense, and don't even follow proper Chinese format, like putting spaces between words. Kinda annoying. And by kinda annoying, I mean "Really? This lazy? Fuck you, something like that honestly makes me not want to support the product."* And to be honest, I'm not really super pumped about China as the enemy. I'll admit. I don't know shit about the game really, other than hearing china is the enemy. Let's say I'm cautious. Am I against a Chinese enemy? No, not really. Did I love having Russia as the other Faction? Hah, yup yup. I love doing Russian Accents. And to be honest, "Russia is bad guy" in video games, although way over done, doesn't really grate me. It doesn't really have any "implications," you know? It just says "Hey, we want a bad guy, Russia works." But with how politics in America are right now, China is the go-to bad guy, for real, not in games, to act like it's some sort of looming menace over our society, ready to gobble us poor Americans up if we vote for the (other) party. And hopefully it wont play out in the game, or around it, after all, Battlefield 2 (which I haven't played) was U.S. vs China, but I fear that it will spark a bunch of bullshit hate/racism/politics around the game. Lots of "Battlefield 4 shows horrible future america heads toward with debt toward China" and other crap like that. I don't want that dammit. I just want a damn game. *I'll be honest... and I hate to admit it. But for all I know, it was the damn same with Battlefield 3, with the Russian, and I just didn't have a Russian friend to point it out to me. Who knows, maybe the Chinese in BF4 is just placeholder text, and they will put more effort into it later. We will see.
leddis3 Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 As far as enemies go, such is the curse of the modern military shooter. What are your choices? It's always going to be either Russia, the Taliban (or handly generic Islamic fundamentalist stand in if your publisher has no balls whatsoever) or China. I suppose there's also the evil PMCs but they seem to have gotten out of favour of late. Maybe shooting people with the same accent as your dudes isn't popular.
Guest Lehshara Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Guess what? Camos for vehicles and weapons are back ^.^
windpl Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 So no player customization ;( There should be more videos coming out because alpha invades has been send.
