I notice that a lot of mods and plugins that come from east Asia seem to be anonymous or author unknown. Is that a cultural thing?

I ask because I ran across a flash game a while back that covered a very controversial subject (underage sex combined with incest) and was amazed that the asian creator still felt the need to scramble out the privates. The flash game was incredibly well done and complex for a flash game so it intrigued me to play despite the subject matter (The underage aspect was only represented by the authors description while the NPCs were representative of older subjects) but the pixel scramble puzzled me and the only thing I could think of was that it was a cultural thing.

So true but I think you can get a glimpse at that only if you live (or have lived) in an Asian country (or of course if you are from Asia .. nuff said), one thing to try and understand is it is more like East and West are two totally different planets with very different human beings.

 

That does not mean you cant make friends in Asia if your are from US or Europe, just that you will fail to understand their actions 80% of the times if not more.
