Sexlab characters/actors standing still and animations not working

For some reason, even after a complete clean reinstall of Skyrim with a complete reinstall of SKSE and mods, sexlab's animations don't work and the actors just stand inside each other.
I have moved XP32 Skeleton to the lowest possible place in the load order, I have tried to reset animation registry, JSON, etc. Nothing seems to work. I am not over the 20000 animation limit but rather close to it.  I have tried all fixes I have seen online but none worked so far. Someone please tell me what I need to do.

You are using Live Another Life mod, so when creating new game the procedure should be:

 

- Run FNIS (preferably with HKX file check option activated, if you added new animations that may not be SSE compatible).

- Create new game and wait for all mods to stop displaying messages on screen.

- Save game.

- Exit game.

- Launch game and load save.

- Again wait for all mods to stop displaying messages on screen (last message should be Sexlab mod reporting being ready).

- If you use creature animations remember to activate that option in Sexlab (after a few seconds Sexlab mod will display twice on screen, that creature animations have been loaded).

- Load animations with Sexlab Animation Loader mod in MCM menu.

- Register ZAZ animations.

- In Sexlab mod import your settings (if you exported settings in a previous playthrough).

- Now you can setup rest of mods in MCM menu.

 

If that doesn't solve problem:

 

- Verify that you have not exceeded Sexlab's max number of animations.

- Look at console log when animation is stuck. Maybe there are some hints to what Sexlab is trying to do. (use PageUp and PageDown keys to scroll in log)

- Maybe temporarily try to reduce number of animations to get under FNIS 100% CTD chance (it should work above 100% CTD chance, but not much is sure when modding Skyrim)

- Maybe the Sexlab related mod triggering animation is looking for a specfic tag, that is not available (like specific creature threesome animation etc).

Nothing worked however I do see from the console log it says
"Thread[1] - HookStageStart() - Skipping[1]: None". Then it goes from [1] until the animation's last number.
It does this also with "HookAnimationStarting", "HookAnimationPrepare","HookStageEnd" and "HookAnimationEnding".

Does this mean it cannot read the animations? What's going on?

It's alright I managed to fix it. Funny enough, all it needed was to simply reinstall sexlab. Thanks for the help though! You did teach me some extra bug finding tricks.

I'm having the same animation problem you experienced, but only with specific creatures so far - frost trolls and draugr. This happens for me even when on a new save game and installing SexLab normally. Did you reinstall the actual mod through your mod manager or just reinstall it in the game? Searching everywhere for a fix for this issue.

I have not extacly the same problem but the player character is just standing around in female female creature or male female creature animation. i have this issue for all creatures. creature female works

First check your Sexlab settings, see which gender your character is set to for animations and look at other settings in any other sexlab and/or creature mods to see if you have any restrictions applied on gender-specific animations. If female creatures are working but males aren't, then it's probably an in-game setting you have that only allows what you're seeing, but check your load order & run FNIS again if that isn't the case.
