robokore Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 I've been playing Skyrim SE on the PC lately and am using mods that contain some adult content. I've wanted to catch some screenshots of gameplay and keep them private. So, my question is: Are screenshots private up until you select to share them with the public or friends? I've noticed that whatever screenshots that you do catch are logged as your activity. But I don't know if people can see those or what.

No one except you will see these screenshots until you press upload button in screenshots menu.

Only you and Cortana... and everyone at Microsoft (who collects data from Cortana spyware but no one ever looks at it?) ?

This uses the copy/capture feature of Windows. Once you hit that button, Alt-Tab out of the game and open Microsoft Paint. Near the top right is the option to PASTE. This will load the 'saved' screen image for options including saving with a name of choice. The print-screen function will only keep one image in the buffer. This avoids any interaction with a game's features, so one could still 'prepare' a screenshot using the games own feature, but instead of clicking the default capture button, the player can just do what I said above. Spoiler

Ever hear of the perverts who can access your child's baby cam without turning on the indicator light? So far, every one of the "Ways to uninstall Cortana" that I have tried, either do not work, or I have apparently done wrong, as I watch Cortana continue to pop up on task manager and use resources... small, but still using. Oh, everything is "off", and has been "off"... "off" in quotes, as any spyware that can not be removed can turn on and run silently when ever it wishes... or it's master wishes. Seriously, if you know a way to remove Cortana, I would love to know.

Doesn't the Print Screen button just drop the screenshot in your Skyrim folder by default? They are automatically saved in sequentially-numbered image files (eg. Screenshot862, Screenshot863, Screenshot864...), you don't have to tab out and manually paste it in Paint.

Screenshot >Print Screen > Captures a screenshot of the current moment in the game, and saves it in the main Skyrim folder. The Steam way > F12 > Takes a screenshot that is saved to the Steam screenshots folder. Hotkey can only be configured through Steam settings. If you have ENB/ENBoost installed you can change the key to make the screenshot. I have it on Print Screen too (default?), that's why I deactivated vanilla screenshots or I get double screenshots from vanilla and ENBoost.

Already did the first one, thanks. There is also one that tells to enter registry and change allow from 1 to 0. Monitoring task manager, and there she is! Must click "end task 7 or 8 times to clear the bitch, but she will always return eventually.
