As the title suggests, I am having a persistent CTD at the entrance to Tip of Crone . It occurs near the first flight of stairs

The only help I have in identifying the cause is the Papyrus log which highlights an error in Slapp

Spoiler

It seems to have an event that does not occur . How to fix ?

Your papyrus warning is common and should not impact your game. If you look at my blog post on papyrus there is a bit of a papyrus log shown there as the image at the top of the page. If you take a minute to really look at it you'll see that similar warnings are found commonly throughout papyrus logs and do not point to real issues. Whatever your problem is, I don't think this log will help. Sorry.

That's the only clue I have. The Crash fix reports absolutely nothing . I tried to deactivate the reported mod, he pulled out another one. If I listen to Papyrus, I take out the mods I do first

On the net, there is nothing on the matter

I also tried to "get around the area" by entering from another point but, it is precisely the area that has something wrong

I hate to admit it but my English version of Skyrim has nothing in it that I can make into "Tip of Crone." Can you explain to me where you are in Skyrim (a map; screenshots)?

Deepwood Redoubt

Ya, specifically, I think Tip of Crone = Hag's End, which is a nested zone within Deepwood Redoubt

Could it be from a bad mesh file introduced by a mod?  Would nifscan help in that case?

? Is something being lost in translation or is it just me being daft?

It's you being daft. No, seriously, I asked the same question and the location is Hag's End. Lestat has a French (I think) version of the game and translated the name from that language. That is what she got - Tip of Crone.

I guessed the 'hag' part but couldn't make the 'end' connection. ? 'Lestat should be 'he' not 'she', Shirley?

Avatar looks female but no information on her profile so I'm going with the pic (until called down - again).

The Avatar (very nice pussy) has nothing to do with the nickname: Lestat. This comes from 2 options:
1) A vampiric novella titled Nimue and Lestat
2) Tom Cruise in the movie "Interview with the Vampire"

So, you're saying that in either of those cases I should refer to you as HE. ?

Returning to the basic problem, the CTD. Not acendo found a real cause, I tried to follow the following of  @Marg597 . Result, the game didn't start anymore.
Having re-installed everything (I've lost count of the times by now  ) I have in theory (I hope also in practice) that I have eliminated the CTD problem. When I happen to be in the area again, I will have confirmation. If so, it means that I had something that, for no physical reason, interfered with the progress of the game

Well that's weird ?

Scanning files shouldn't break the game like that, unless...

Maybe the files ?were asleep  when you scanned ? and it made them grumpy ? You have to wake them up first.
