Cursed Atelier Posted August 19, 2021 Posted August 19, 2021 Hello, I got the problem that I can start new games and play for hours without any issues or crashes. However, it doesn't matter which save I try to load, the game either crashes directly or it just freezes at the start of the loading. I've been disabling mods and so on, it did helps in the way that it only sometimes crashes during a load attempt. Maybe 4 successful loads out of 20 tries. The other weird thing I noticed is, that I get errors from "Shout like a virgin and Prison Overhaul" I downloaded the all these mods 3 days ago. I doubled checked that it's the latest version, however I'm getting compatibility errors that I'm not running the latest version. They are however working as intended. These issues are probably just something I have overlooked or a bad load order (Using LOOT to sort them.) It's been a while since I modded skyrim, but I never ran into such a persistent issue. I also tried it with the "Continue Game No Crash", which caused the game to load the save that plugin create or just falling constantly.

However, the game doesn't CTD anymore, it just freezes roughly at the first frame of the loading screen. I will attach some screenshots, hopefully they are helpful and another batch of papyrus.log. Yeah, I have the "Animation Limit Crash Fix" installed, otherwise I couldn't even start a new game. Edit: The game also behaves this way, if I uninstall all the animations. The thing that confuses me is, it doesn't matter when I save or which save I use, they all cause the game to crash. I can play the game without issues for quite a long time without any crashes or stuttering, I just can't load.

Try and only save at places where not many NPC and clutter is around.

Tlam99 Posted August 19, 2021 Posted August 19, 2021 Reference handler. If you got lots of, even invalid, references in your save. You should see the number with resaver.

How you can have the ESP's but not have the scripts of the mods??? What manager are you using?

I made 4 saves. 1. Inside the Alternate Start Cell. 2. Choose the option: Camping in the woods. 3. Inside the Helgen Cave. 4. Inside Qasmoke. I can't load any of the saves. I followed the waiting until they are installed > activate SL > Creatures > Save > Reload, that ended in a crash. Also I loaded a old save from yesterday that had only graphic mods installed, even that one crashes.

Are you referring to the left side "References"? If yes, that numbers says "0"

If the OP not have Animation Crash Fix the game make instant CTD when click "New Game"
