Dirty Talk ( RJW SpeakUp Addon)


1.3 compatible only

 

DESCRIPTION

This mod uses SpeakUp to add dialog to RJW's sexual interactions. At the moment it has dialog for consensual/non-consensual interactions and adjusts non-consensual dialog for masochists. I plan to adjust dialog for more traits etc. Great artwork for sex interaction emotes drawn by, and used with the permission of OTYOTY, originally from this mod:

•I'd like to take health hediffs into account for dialogue, but this will require c# coding which I'm not able to do.

 

NOTICE

I am not a good modder or erotic writer. I wanted to see this functionality in the game so I decided to try and make it happen. The only reason I was able to pull it off is because it only took some xml writing. I have gotten the more tedious work of making a bit of dialog for every interaction out of the way, and now it should be easy for anyone who wants to just a add a bit here and there. Adding dialog should be very straightforward just by looking at the xmls, even if they're a bit sloppy. If you feel you can improve/expand on this mod in any way feel free to give it a shot, and share any additions you'd like me to add to this file.

I've been wanting something like this ever since I started using SpeakUp!

Excellent, excellent work. Had a quick test of the mod and it works really nicely. Really appreciate the amount of xml definitions you had to write for this (I had a quick look through the defs and I can see its a *lot*!)

One thing that would be cool (not sure if this is possible or you have any level of control over it) - pawns will still randomly talk about their bedrooms/food/etc while in the middle of a sex act. It would be nice if this could be overridden with your mods dialogs instead (again, I don't know the ins and outs of how speakup lets you define defs or if this is even possible, would just be a nice-to-have)

Glad you like it. I agree that that's annoying. I've looked for a solution but it doesn't seem like SpeakUp has any kind of timer to delay further dialogue or anything like that. I'll keep looking for a fix.

Nice work! Can't you add integration of RJW Ideology addons (Edited: I mean the Sexperience mod)? For example, talks about sacral types of sex? ("My soul is realy cleaning by your dick!" "I endure anal for our sins!" "Sister, take it and keep the gods satisfied", something like that)

I've thought of it and am looking into if it is doable. If it is I will work on it eventually but there are some other (simpler) things I need to get out of the way first.

Hey whenever I try to load the game with Dirty Talk activated I get the following exception, it loaded after both its dependencies so I'm not sure what the issue is.

Stupid oversight. Should be fixed in next update, thanks for reporting. Do the interactions still work despite the error? If not that would be unusual.

hey is there a way you could convert the file download towards a zip. I have a Mac so I can't really open ".rar"

(sorry if this makes no sense btw)

a question why are you including the speak up dll?  this will cause breaking of speak up especially since your dll is older than speakup. the dll is not needed especially since its not adding anything and is jut a copy of older speakup version.

I honestly don't remember why it's in there. I've uploaded a ne zip with it removed. Thanks!

Edit: I went ahead and tried it and I have to say no, not compatible. 

Yeah, unfortunately it isn't. Interactions will instantly crash the game. I've spent a while trying to figure out why and trying to fix it but I have no idea.

ok i'm using mod manager for most of my mods because they get updates from some mod makers but i have noticed your mod in mod manager says "depends on SpeakUp version 0.0.0 version loaded 0.7 is loaded" no errors when its loaded ingame maybe its a version mismatch with speakup no idea

Don't worry about it, not worth it. 

 

I personally will be updating to 1.3 when my current 1.2 colony goes up in flames.  I'd imagine most people are in a similar boat.

I've looked at other mods dependent on SpeakUp and they have the same issue. It's just an issue with mod manager and it's safe to ignore.
