I wish the original author or someone would update this plugin it's fun having to work some to get them in the sack.

 

It's a shame that it seems to have been abandoned yes, Instead of waiting for progress I've decided to get my hands dirty in the CK and have been making several alterations to my copy of the mod in order to expand it in this way.

 

 

 

I looked at it in CK but I couldn't make heads or tails of it and it wouldn't let me save any changes I made.

 

You could use the Submit mod, disable PC submit function, never use the submit hotkey and just go for the dialogue options.

Downside with Submit is that the sex dialog isn't there for a bunch of NPCs, and you can't have sex in the middle of town without getting arrested. Romance is definitely better in that regard.

 

I do like the reuse of some of the standard dialog in Submit. If this could be added to Romance, that would definitely improve things.

If you mean the Jarls, there's a condition which excludes them.  I manually remove that till the author adds a Thane condition.  The guards were also added in the latest update.  The only issue I can recall with it is that if the NPCs aren't full healed, the Submit dialogue will be displayed instead of the seduction dialogue.  You can heal them and check again, it should work normally.  Not sure about what other NPCs you're talking about.  For me, something messed Aela up and the dialogue doesn't come up, and I can't seem to fix it.

 

Well, you do get a 5g bounty and the sequence breaks up (or a 40g if you assail someone).  Yes, it's a bit inconvenient but at least it's more immersion friendly and it's a bit more challenging than "let's do it, yay"

This mod is incompatible with the new version of Sexlab. I'm still using Sexlab v1.14 and this plugin still has some functions... but I'll end up uninstalling it on my next update.

Is there a cooldown on how often you can have sex with people via Romance?

 

After a successful sex attempt, I tried having sex with another NPC, got success via the dialogue. However, when I got to the part where you can choose the position, my only option is "Maybe another time."

Also for the next update, I fixed the "Civilian NPC's < 90% give the 'Submit or Die!' option" issue, letting it only show up on NPCs you actually make submit.  Again with a solution that was stupidly easy (and one I already use in other fashions) that, yeah...

 

But, yes, sex in the middle of the street without guards pestering you I felt is a bit silly, so Romance will definitely let you get your swerve on wherever and whenever if that is your thing.

 

By no means am I knocking Romance.  It was the first SL mod I used and I used it happily for a good while, and was the original inspiration for creating Submit, to fill in the "nonconsensual" situations while Romance handled the "consensual".  But, the lack of voices began to irk me, and Spaceman isn't updating anymore, so, eh, I just developed Submit a bit more to replace it in my own personal load order, and if anyone else felt the same, super, and if they preferred to keep running Romance, hey, super as well.

 

However, I am a bit concerned about all this talk regarding the new SSL not working with Romance, because if it's causing problems for a mod that has been working for months, does that mean other mods will have issues now?

By no means am I knocking Romance.  It was the first SL mod I used and I used it happily for a good while, and was the original inspiration for creating Submit, to fill in the "nonconsensual" situations while Romance handled the "consensual".  But, the lack of voices began to irk me, and Spaceman isn't updating anymore, so, eh, I just developed Submit a bit more to replace it in my own personal load order, and if anyone else felt the same, super, and if they preferred to keep running Romance, hey, super as well.

 

However, I am a bit concerned about all this talk regarding the new SSL not working with Romance, because if it's causing problems for a mod that has been working for months, does that mean other mods will have issues now?

 

 

I am currently trying the new 1.20 alpha, as well as the 1.15b versions.  The issues I had thus far are probably unrelated to Submit, so the mod still works.  Just saying, although you could check the SexLab frameworks thread for what Ashal is planning to do with the function calls and all that, it sounds like some sort of revamp is underway.  Romance, though, wasn't working that well in the recent updates, apparently.  I stopped using it once Submit had the consensual dialogue and dropped it completely, along with my backup mod (SexLab Sexchat), both of which haven't been updated for a while.

Hello, I downloaded this mod recently and all works fine except that the animations don't work. I have re downloaded sexlab,Skse, FNIS and skyUI.

I thought It might be an issue with my load order.

What version of Sexlab you are using?

This mod is incompatible with the new version of Sexlab. I'm still using Sexlab v1.14 and this plugin still has some functions... but I'll end up uninstalling it on my next update.

 

 

 

 

RIght okay, I don't suppose you or anyone else knows where I can dl V1.14 to see if that fixes the issue?

so i like this but for some reason its stuck on one npc's dialogue choices no other npc has it.

 

so been wondering if you could make a alt version that doesn't use perk/what not and just add the dialogue menu to everyone...

In case, the best way to go as to having req and no compatibility issues is to check over skill level instead of a perk (because of perks changing mods).

ok so i tried to do 3 way,,but it can't seem to get to work,,this is what I did

 

1.talk to the the first partner,,and ask him/her to go to someplace more private

 

2.talk to my 2nd,,and ask him/her to go to someplace more private too,,so they're following me

 

3.ask one of them to start,,and the dialogue is I think "I want you both",,after that I wait for things to happen,,but after a while.......nothing.....have I done something wrong??
