AAF Nuka Ride: A Porn Studio Mod

Having a problem with the alternate start. Went all the way to defeating Ryder, did the usual talk-to-everybody and then starting working to finish up my strut so to get to the audition. However, Sophie went missing! Quests like the Seven Bar which need her, she's nowhere. I used console to find she was actually just inside the bar entrance but disabled(?) and... dead. I got her back but quest dialogs are flaky and she won't move on her own. Something went quite awry.

Click on her and run

resurrect

That should get her going again.

If all else fails, roll back to before you lost her and make her essential via

Did you try removing it for a little while then equipping it again? A reboot for a butt plug! 😜

I indeed resurrected her and can sometimes get what I think are correct dialogs but she won't move on her own, killing 'follow Sophie' quest parts. When I could see her dead she was in the exact position that she was put in and Ryder went off to lure Overboss. She was like that at the final battle, too. My best save is just after the battle when all appeared good and done. I think she's in a wrong 'package' if that's what you call it?

What do you think, also when you guys install mods on new games do they only get less than 1 FPS...

I have read a report that Sophie can die even though she is marked as essential. 


Unfortunately, from what I've read, she doesn't work properly after being resurrected, so the best thing to do would be to load a save from before she was dead. 

 

And as I write this... I know why she is no longer essential after the final battle. 

 

Oh god, I'm such an idiot. 

 

I take away Sophie's essential status briefly so Ryder can knock her out. But I forgot to put it back on her.  😭  That explains why she usually dies after the final battle.

 

I will fix it in the next update. I'm a bit stuck, but I don't really think it will take too long to upload it.

This comes to remind me that I got AAF to work fine whether you have a version prior to 1.0 or later. So at least as far as my mod is concerned there are no problems which version of AAF you use. 

 

Right now I prefer to stay on an earlier version until AAF stabilizes.

I have no idea what version I am on I do know it worked fine so I will just stick to whatever it is. Been away for the last two weeks and now I see this.

The new AAF update goes into a loop and never starts if you have NAF installed or even if you only have an empty folder with the name NAF in your Data folder.  From what I read it looks like this loop drops them to 1 fps. 😱

 

This generated a move in the Loverslab administration. If you go to the Fallout downloads section you will no longer see AAF and Themes being featured, they have all been moved to a separate section.

Ok now I get it. I remember reading about the whole AFF NAF war and that link between the two that started it all. Ok yeah I will stick with what I have not that I have NAF installed anyway tho. I bet someone over on tullius probably already made a fixed working version

I support @dagobaking in the threads I have read about assets being used without permission, after all he did copyright this work, and the rest were saying it was no big deal.  Basic theft in my mind so I do not blame him and I support his position!

With ya there, it's a fucking game mod not some billion dollar mega software company. But intentionally hurting the end user is crossing the line.

Same with you, I agree about the user, but he must have had a reason.

 

I will say this and not talk about it again, Loss of respect to several here, taking something without permission is theft whether it belongs to a Billion dollar corp. or me the poorest SOB on the planet.

I guess a Copyright does not mean what it used to, but when so many piled on top of @dagobaking in the discussion I read it is no wonder he got pissed.

How would it be if someone repackaged NR and called it "Nancy does Nuka World" would you all be Ok with that?

Nah not really. I asked a question and I will say this. Both parties are acting like children. The NAF guys for using AAF stuff and The AAF guys for coding in stuff to screw users of NAF. Now I could understand if it was just blocking NAF but it will mess with animations that uses it. There is a facial animation pack on nexus that uses it and now those people are also screwed if they use NAF for those animations and happen to have AAF aswell. The two parties could easily have solved this issue like adults between them but now everyone gets screwed. Anyway thats my two cents. Now I will excuse myself from this whole debacle:)

The thing is, due to technical issues, the new version of AAF is not compatible with those who have NAF, but my mod will remain compatible with the previous version of AAF for those who want to keep it.

Back on topic, had a thought, what if  the PC were to clear out the inside of the bottling plant and grab to power armor in order to give to the OB for... say his birthday..

Then when the OB discovers the "interior" since he wants the queen, has been cleared and complains to the PC about someone beating him to it. The PC could confess she cleared it to get the PA as a present.

Once given the PA he is totally blown away that a woman could even do something like that. Thus granting her true Overbitch rank along with the respect it deserves. Not the kinda sorta rank.

Another little issue (not sure if it's limited to the alternate start only or not) is that often when a dialog terminates the player is stuck in the last pose animation and can't move. I can get rid of it by sometimes going through another dialog, force starting an AAF scene, etc. Any ideas what could be causing that?

I hadn't thought about it yet and it really is the worst park for me, but I really like the idea 😍 My initial idea was to go with the mirelurk hatchling and convince the queen to retire, but now I've become confident about implementing fights. 

 

Norita, with the excuse that she has training with his grandpa, gets to pick all the battles if she want. You can even help Brett empty the mine and take out the bloodworm queen (or stay outside and gather wood for the campfire).

I open and close pipboy and that works (tab, then tab again for me).

 

No idea why though.
