Only a test will determine it. But rest assured that I am not going to adapt my mod to fit others, except for the ones I work with specifically as hard and soft requirements.

But you can always write to Sim Settlement authors to change their mods, so that it works with mine.

If that doesn't work, I'm going to create a new couch (that Gage couch is from GNN). That will fix the problem. That's why Gage stops: the couch is upstairs.... and the AI doesn't know how to go upstairs.

I disabled CWSS and the patch.....and he still does not turn right to go down the hall...this is where he gets stuck.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think you should test it long before (because the sofa is already misplaced in your save).

I'll tell you which stage to write.

 

Load a save before starting the quest. Anywhere.

 

StartQuest _NukaRide_Girls
SetStage _NukaRide_Girls 10
SetStage _NukaRide_Girls 150
(Once in GNN)
SetStage _NukaRide_Girls 160

(Runs inside and checks if the couch is set up)

Ha! Just Gage's couch, uh?

 

I'm going to make a new sofa and I'll upload a patch for you in a while. Gage's couch is from GNN and is on the second floor (originally).

Even if he does have it last. Since you use bsa's in nukaride folks need to remember the rule if using MO2 That loose files always overwrites bsa's regardless of position. I have nukaride right last myself but had set of powerarmor blocking the right couch that came from a mod changing that area and was using loose files. So he still might have something overwriting it.

tell me more about these loose files....I have seen this come up from time to time in Vortex....I just always click on "Fix"....not sure what all of that means.  And how do I find out if I have loose files?

Well I did a patch but you have to load a game before you have started NR 4.0.5. Basically, a save from yesterday.

Write the stages, in order. 

 

StartQuest _NukaRide_Girls
SetStage _NukaRide_Girls 10
SetStage _NukaRide_Girls 150
(Once outside GNN)
SetStage _NukaRide_Girls 160

(Runs inside and checks if the couch is set up)

BTW, do you have unofficial fallout patch? Highly recommended.

I did quite a lot of testing on the earlier versions before you appeared, several of the features in this mod are there at my request/suggestion (thanks JB.!), but I'm testing other mods at the moment and haven't gotten back to NR testing for a few months so have been closely following the discussions here in the meantime. And yes, I'm the same age you are and a career software developer for decades, but feel free to keep thinking that somehow makes any difference in this case.

Im using the one in mega 3.0 i think

4.0.2 geesh i even made the conversion to TWB 4.0.0 and i didn't remember the version.

Update:
Ok i just found i didn't make the conversion of that particular item cause it existed in previus versions, so im doing it now, if anyone has this problem with TWB, let me know so we can update the download with JB's help

yeah....the couch is there....it is messed up a bit...the eyebot is following me and the gunners start to shoot it and become hostile to me.....well some of them anyway...and Gage still get stuck....but the couch is there....will try a different save.

I'm having some fps issues for a while now in Nuka Town, so I'm looking at previs and precombs tutorials to reduce this.

 

This will probably increase the final version to almost 400 MB. But I am noticing a significant FPS improvement. I just have to fix some graphical glitches.

ok...I must have installed that patch wrong....this is what I am getting...this is the first mule quest to get apollo back.  There are two dogs and 2 robots.....it is like this at the dinner also...two robots there too.

The patch is supposed to overwrite the Nuka Ride.esp you had.

There should only be one active Nuka Ride.esp.

This can happen because:
You renamed my patch and now you have two mods running.
You have another mod organizer besides Vortex and they are both running.

I don't know, there may be ten more reasons, but basically this happens because you're running two Nuka Ride.esp.?‍♂️

 

Lol this also explain that eyebot in GNN... he def should not be there.

Ok here's the thing...

As you know, i don't use all the original outfits of the mod, i always make my own mash-ups and stuff, so i havent tested every single item, only the ones i use, in any case the process is the same for all the items, so they should work fine, this time i copied all the conversions i have from the original mod files, since i didn't keep the old files that were already uploaded, i don't have a clue of what you already have, besides aparently there's been some changes, like the jewelry that already existed and required an update in the new version.

In short my recomendation is: Keep your early meshes if they are working and only re/build as needed, the file is very fat, but any new user can find everything in this file, of course if anything goes wrong you're on your own! nah! ? please let me know to fix it.

There are no new fixes.
I added lights and balloons at the Nuka Club entrance (they should be visible if you already have it unlocked).
By the way, if you didn't get to unlock the Nuka Club through investors, it is unlocked when you win The Special Girls.
And the most important: precombined and previs files for Nuka Town, which substantially improve performance. I have added / modified many things there and I was already beginning to notice a fps drop. So much fluid now.

What happens is most of the time especially in FO4 people pack their mods into bsa files its like the whole mod compressed into one file like textures, Meshes etc. So if you take nukaride for instance you have nukaride.bsa and then the esp nukaride.esp, Now loose mods is not so common in FO4 but some folks still use them. Its simply the mod uncompressed so you would usually have folders. Like textures, meshes, scripts and then the mod esp loose the mod folder. Now the base rule is that loose files will overwrite archives in your load order so it does not matter where a bsa based mod is in your loadorder a mod that change the same thing with loose files will always take higher priority and overwrite. Now I'm not sure about vortex but I am sure you can create rules to force a mod to load after another one. But personally I never had to do that. I usually have things overwriting bsa's for a specific reason. Hope my ramblings made sense.
