This used to cause a lot of CTDs for me when I entered VATS mode with him present (last year), but yesterday I didn't have any issues. I don't know if it's thanks to Addictol, but anyway, if anyone experiences a CTD, let me know.

 

If you hire him as a follower (or if you type _NR_Raven 11), a script will run to recruit him and give him more HP. He's at molerat boss level, but that's not enough in The Wilderness.

 

Molerats don't have OnEnterBleedOut Events! That is, I can't tell when they fell in battle and need a stimpak, but with other tricks, it's possible to do it when the battle ends. You should see a notification that it's down.  Similarly, if you see him static in the middle of a battle, you can apply a stimpak. But yes, they don't have that event, and they also don't have animations for that event.

 

This update caught me by surprise; I'm still in the process of writing several lines for Raven, for when we command him to attack, wait, when we heal him, etc.

No way!!!  You actually got it working?!  I'll totally check this out tonight 🖤 Gotta take him out in his fancy new threads 🥰 I was kinda sad when you said you couldn't get these to work without a crash so I'm really excited about this small change!  I'm looking forward to the new lines for him too!  He's such a cool little companion so I really do take him with me during so much down-time, so having new things to say to him when I give commands would feel refreshing 🥰

I wouldn't mind those mods if you felt the weather and had some debuffs if you were too hot or to cold looks cool though ,ha ha get it

Но да, у них нет этого события, и у них также нет анимации для этого события, поэтому он неподвижен, когда ранен.

Just reporting a crash during 'Hot Blooded'.  When Mrs. V has you kneel and hits the collar the first time, I get a crash pointing to my clone's glasses.  If I open her inventory(openactorcontainer 1 console command) and unequip the glasses, the crash doesn't happen.

• Safe to update midgame.

 

 

 

• Raven now includes his armor, golden collar, and bandana.
• I wrote over 80 lines of the player commanding and healing Raven, and added about 50 vanilla lines for the same purpose. 
• New voice file for the new lines: Nuka Ride 7 - Voices 1.6
• If you take Raven with you in The Wilderness, your sister recognizes him and mentions him a couple of times, even acknowledging him as one of those who helped liberate Ryneham in her final speech. 
• If Raven falls in battle, your sister will tell you to help him - This isn't limited to the wilderness, by the way.
• If you don't have any Stimpaks, your sister will give you a couple to heal him.

 

 

 

 

Harmless cheat if you're already in The Wilderness: SetStage _NR_Raven 11 to make him follow you.

 

 

 

Tweaks 🔧

 

 

• I redid Sophie's voice during Lyons' walk on the Safari. Originally, her voice sounded very slow, and now it has a much better cadence. I also made lip files for her.
• I modified a couple of lines where she basically says she'll take the clone to the farm to introduce her to the grandparents. Originally, she only said that she would spend time with her. Basically, to tie up loose ends better.

 

 

Fixes 🔨

• Your sister will pause her dialogue in The Wilderness bunker if you are attacked, and will continue after the attack is over. Still isn't working..
• Fixed a bug that prevented the strip club services from progressing if the customer hired you plus another stripper.

@JB. I notice music during the second part of the Stepbrother (with Keyshawn) and in the prewar strip club is still incredibly loud and dependent on camera position, not character position (those being different when you're playing third person). I notice it's also unaffected by any audio settings.

I noticed you 'fixed' a similar issue in 6.9.3, but how did you do it there? I can manually reproduce the fix.

Jump on the bed. Back then I didn't know how to make invisible triggers to be touched.

@Lynx2k10 I'm blocking my private messages because I don't know if you're doing this on purpose, but reporting bugs to me because you're doing set stages doesn't make sense. If you want to get things, you have to play the mod. I'm going to close my messages for a while because I don't want to use them to give private help. I prefer to use the forum. This isn't specifically for you, but there are several people writing to me for a kind of personalized help that could easily be shared on the forum for the benefit of others.

I have lowered it to 0% for testing: the ingame music does not respond. Plus it seems very localized, so maybe you're using a sound emitter not classified as music?

Additionally, does Peach use custom hands that need the Texture Files for the Girls under optionals?

 

I notice that having installed Texture Files I get brown and black face on my own girl (using a skin texture mod for MC), but not having it installed tends to give a few NPCs in Nuka Ride the Brown Face bug.

On two occasions ( a Digger in Solomon's Cave and now, Peach), I noticed NPCs missing hands. I don't see anything in the thread about it.

 

I can play without it, but seems odd it's a very specific set of people: random digger and Peach. Would love to know what you do here technically different.

This morning I loaded a save file at the strip club and turned the music level down to zero before replying. And yeah, these are basically "speakers" that you put in a place. They are not background music as usual.

 

As for Peach, she needs the nail mod. See the link on the main page. French nails or Hn66 nails.

My bad here yet again, I installed everything BUT the nail mod from HN66.

I think the reason is they are listed as a soft requirement, whereas missing hands for me would classify as a p hard req. I'll go through all soft reqs and see what is missing.



RE: Music, I'll assume it's a skill issue on my end and work around the issue manually. since the music slider seems to work on all other music, but not those two specific points. I can manually edit the files to lower the volume.

I know this was so much mind-numbing work and absorbed so much of your time but thank you so much for these little updates on Raven 🖤 I was so thrilled when we replayed The Wilderness' quests and To the Last Friend together this time, even more than before - and that says a lot because I really did have a ton of fun letting him "spread his wings" the first few runs with him there!!!  It definitely feels more immersive and realistic now. 

 

I also didn't crash at all while I played with him, at least during these quests, so whatever was causing it with VATS before definitely seems okay, but I'll have to take him out to the Commonwealth with me a bit and make sure and if I do I'll post on it🖤

 

Truthfully between all these last several updates and all of the new repeatable quests plus what we already had, and now more to enjoy with taking Raven out and about, this will give us so much to do between updates and a million reasons to want to start the whole adventure again from the very beginning 🥰

I can confirm that Raven's armor does have CTD, but only during the "Bewitches" quest. It doesn't CTD when he's our follower. I assume that when he's our follower, he's not a possible target for our VATS.

 

What I can do is equip him with his armor only when he's going to be our follower. Unequip it after that.

 

@DMZSniper    I just tested it with the studio music (which sounds like ghetto music) and you're right, the vanilla sound setting doesn't affect it. You can lower the volume of the strip club music, though. I forgot to check a box. I'll fix it in the next update.

They really only need Fallout4.exe and Fallout4Launcher.exe.  The content updates won't matter really at all.
