I need help with animation mods

Recommended Posts

Posted

So I'm incredibly new to modding and just PC gaming in general. I've tried looking for other posters with similar problems as me, but nothing seemed to help. I have two animation packs (Zaz and Billy's) and neither of them are registering. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong in the process of registering them, if they're in the wrong order, or if I'm just missing a mod needed to make it work.

I've gone into the MCM to enable the Sex Lab, but then SLAL didn't register them. So I looked it up what might be happening, found people saying I needed to go into FNIS to register them first, so I did but I keep getting the same message of " 0 animations for 2 mods successfully included (character)."

This is all of my mods in their current load order. I bolded the ones I think are relevant.

  • Make sure that both animation packs are the SE versions.
  • Make sure the animation packs are installed only *after* SLAL is installed, if they're installed before SLAL was installed, they won't show up in SLAL's menu
  • For whatever reason, SLAL takes time to load its content. And due to the immediacy we expect to see, that delay can be perceived as a failure. Try waiting 10-15 seconds after clicking the SLAL MCM item for SLAL to load its content.

Post your FNIS output. (That is the text you get when you run FNIS).

This is everything it said before I hit update

Spoiler

Generate FNIS Behavior files for Users V7.6 (Skyrim SE 64bit)

Call this tool:    (IMPORTANT, or else all charactes will FREEZE!!!)
- After installing FNIS, or any mod that uses FNIS
- After deinstallation of any mod that uses FNIS

NOTE: Skyrim will crash (CTD) whenever you add too many custom animations.
FNIS will warn you when you have reached the critical animation limit.
FNIS XXL will also calculate the contribution of each FNIS depending mod towards this limit.

NOTE2 (VERY important!!!):
You can increase your animation number DRASTICALLY with these tools:
Animation Limit Crash Fix (Skyrim SE and LE), SSE Engine Fixes (Skyrim SE only)
Since FNIS cannot know if such mod is installed, it will still warn you at the original limit.
But when such tool is used, load calculation can be switched off (FNIS.ini: "LoadCTDCalculation=0")
Current FNIS limit: 10000 animations (3rd person character only)

And this is after since I wasn't quite sure what exactly you meant

I was very careful to make sure I got the SE versions and that all my foundational mods were installed first, but I supposed it can't hurt to reinstall them

There's your problem right there. It is telling you that you have FNIS incorrectly configured. Look for a video on how to set up FNIS in your mod manager.

Skeleton(hkx) female: Default (99 bones)   male: Default (99 bones)

Once you have FNIS properly set up and have run it, it display a line like this:

Skeleton(hkx) female: XPMS2HDT (126 bones)   male: XPMS2HDT (126 bones) [This is for LE so the XPMSE part will be different but the bone count will be 126]

You should also see all your animations have been recognised by FNIS.

Once FNIS is good you will still have to enable and register them in SLAL.
