Mass Effect: Legendary Edition [Nude Mod Request]

Hey all,

 

So i know Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is not out yet till this Friday, but i love these games and i sure many of you do as well. So i though i would get a jump on it and put a request out now for some nude mods. I know no one can actually make one till its out, but i thought it would be nice if we could have a place ready to discuss mods for it as soon as its out.

 

So mods i hope to see across all 3 of the games are...

LOL, that is if you can actually replace anything. Have you heard how they are Censoring the game out the wazoo? Wouldn't surprise me if they put protection on their assets so no one can modify or replace them. EA is a joke.

I remember nude mod stuff for the original games. One in particular refused to draw penises/vaginas, and had a Barbie/Ken thing going on.
Smooth. But the games aren't impossible to mod, just very-very difficult--and naturally I refer to the original.
And for the record, even Beyond: Two Souls, had protected game resources.
Yet, hackers found a way to get nudity in, to view shower scenes. Let's just say...Ellen Page/Elliot Page had a very...masculine body, and the conclusion was that...

See, the problem with all that is that this isn't the original games. They could do literally anything differently that they want for this remaster. Just because it could be done in the first games doesn't mean it can be here. Do I hope its possible? Absolutely! But you can't compare the two until it releases and we know how they handled the remaster.

 

Also, no one got nudity into Beyond Two Souls. It was already there, just off camera. All someone did was access the debug mode and move the camera. Not really a fair comparison to breaking into protected assets. Again, irrelevant until we know if they actually changed or blocked anything. Just setting realistic expectations here when it comes to that stuff.

Doubtful. That would basically say "HEY YOU MODDERS, I WANT YOU TO CRACK ME!"

 

This shitty Remaster was never designed for PC. If you already played the Modded PC Version this is a major downgrade!

Still. Beyond Two Souls claimed to have protection to prevent nudity. Didn't quite work out.
I'm assuming the same will be the case for Legendary Edition. After all, the first thing many will try is to import old mods/renew for Legendary Edition.

Seriously, I'll continue to keep one eye on this whole mess, but from everything I've seen so far, the "Legendary" edition will simply be the whole trilogy with "Equalized Shepard" (All games will feature back-ported character looks/graphics of ME3), *possibly* some engine/interface tweaks to make all the games play a bit more alike (though exact details on this are still pretty sketchy at best), and for whatever reason, the main focus seems to be "Zomg!  We may have offended someone somewhere!  Make sure there's no Miranda Ass or anything anywhere on camera or the world may explode!"

 

Really haven't heard a single thing yet that has me seriously thinking of purchasing, since we already HAVE mods for the originals in all shapes and sizes and about the *best* we can hope for would be that those modders actually feel like porting their work to whatever mess EA makes of the assets for the remaster, assuming that's even remotely possible by the time they're done.

 

Not really telling anyone what to do, though I'd suggest waiting for some independent reviews or information _after_ this thing gets released to see what's actually been done, what's been added, cut, redone, etc... whether any old mods will work, can be ported, will be ported, yadda yadda.  Decide then, or I strongly suspect there's going to be a lot of disappointment over this one.

 

Honestly I see the biggest potential market for this release as people who missed out on the originals and don't have the right consoles and/or want to fiddle with getting "old" games to run on a newer, unfriendly OS -and likely, mainly people who don't consider mod support a huge factor.  While doing my latest run, lots of the larger mods are already listed (on nexus) specifically as "Will NOT be ported to Legendary Edition", and I'll be surprised if that drastically changes any time soon.

Wow im kind of surprised to see so much negativity towards this Legendary Edition, i have the originals on PC and im really excited for this remaster. The visuals look amazing, and i like that they all will have the same character creator and other tweaks to bring them all in to line with each other.

 

As for modding i know its hard for now all we can do is guess at what it will be like and make a wish list of what we would like. But from what i can see modding will be possible and supported. the original 3 were, and Andromeda was too. Plus ive seen on twitter and in other interviews they talked to modders while making the Legendary Edition to discuss changes and what would be needed etc

That seems a little unfair to me. I've always been under the impression that it had nothing to do with prudishness or offense, but that the gratuitous butt shots just felt a little silly and robbed some scenes of their gravity. Hard to take Miranda seriously when the camera is perving on her.

 

That said, if modders want to perv on her, I'll be first in line. But the vanilla experience of the game probably *is* a little better without it, right?

I'm not sure what version you're looking at but mods have already fixed whatever issues were extant and all that was added to 2 and 3 were colored shadows and ambient occlusion. woo. Remastery. ESRGAN upscaling is not remastering or any flavor thereof, and 8K textures was already a thing on the nexus and has been for four years.

 

3 was made in 18 months under crunch that would make CDPR screech like a marmoset in a washing machine and aside from multiplayer was an utter dumpster fire, the kind of thing you would expect from game with a 5 year development projection being made in 18 months.  And of course, because MP was actually good, they monetized the fuck out of it. Where do you think EA's monetization scheme actually came from? This game.

You shouldn't be that exited for a censored version? Didn't you hear what happened to Diablo 2 remastered? They Cut out as much skin as possible. EA is going to do it since that is the Political thing to do now, Censor that S**T. I would HOPE it isn't going to be a cluster***k but I can't get my hopes up though. I loved ME 1, which was the best they did, ME2 was alright, but ME3 was a disappointment.  We also lost a DLC which they could have added regardless of their Copy Right Excuse if they actually just ponied up the money. I lost faith in EA a very long time ago, when they decided   Money  >   Quality of a game or the opinion of their consumers, or etc.

Man, imagine believing EA would ever do something for the consumers over profit. Whenever I see people defending them online, I throw up a bit in my mouth. I miss being young and dumb, unaware of all the bullshit around me. Ignorance truly is bliss. But this is the unfortunate truth of modern games. Profits and pandering.

The only character they removed skin on was to give the assassin some pants.

Pants which she got ANYWAY in the original once you found any armor of level studded or above (except the Cuirass, for some reason).

 

Assassin still has the cleavage.

Sorc stil has her bare midriff.

Amazon still has her thighs.

 

Not sure what else you could be referring to.

Andariel is still topless with her nipple chain. Blood Raven still has her cleavage. and other skin.

Ah yes i remember the MP Shop. Calculating your credits on client side when shopping, such a tiny but interesting flaw :).

Honestly, complaining that the newer version is censored is a bit of a mute point since the original games are still available though not as complete as the Legendary edition (still have to find the DLCs and what not). If I wanted to play my modded ME games with the same texture improvements as the new one, I can. Nothing is really stopping me from doing so.

 

For me, I don't think it's that much of a problem but people are so easy to disagree when another opinion goes against their own. And I'll leave it at that.

Can you elaborate on the Amazon? I am not going to pretend that she isn't unattractive, but you claim she was censored.

On her menu model they got rid of the right thigh plate, and added more strips to her cingulum. I am not sure if there was a net loss of skin here.

At the very minimum I feel you are being hyperbolic.
