You couldn't, say, make it change based on the girl's current hp, thereby creating a makeshift clothing damage system? It's probably not possible, but it's what went into my head as soon as I saw those outfit states. That and strip vantage masters. This would be an ungodly amount of work, and I don't plan on coming back to these games for a while, so I'm not going to do it. If someone else wants to do it, feel free to use my models. You can use them for whatever purpose you want. There are plenty of tutorials in these threads to help you get started.

Normally, the game prevents the camera from going below the waist. This lowers the limit from waist-height down to the floor. I really liked this feature in Cyber's CS3 table, and I missed having it in Cyber's CS4 table. Ordinarily, the game engine prevents this kind of camera angle, now you can do this effortlessly without putting down the controller! Spoiler What if you want to use both Cyber's CS4 table and this feature? They are compatible. You can combine them into one table for convenience - just open Cyber's CS4 table, then open my table, and it will ask if you want to merge. Say yes, and then save. I actually wanted to implement it in Hajimari no Kiseki (and succeeded); it was easy to backport and thus I did so. Everyone is of course free to use whatever they like, but I like cheat engine because you can open the table and see exactly what it does. It would be much harder to hide malware in a cheat table (although yes it's possible, please be cautious opening and using random tables). Now if you can locate the code for min Z in Tokyo Xanadu eX+, you have my attention! I'm excited for Kuro, although my hope for a fan translation goes up and down. Right now I'm pessimistic towards the chances of a fan translation anytime soon. I've spent a fair amount of time combing through the Hajimari files, and found that CLE has done some sort of encryption or scrambling on all their Chinese and Korean assets, making them unreadable by our current tools. (I wanted to make a Chinese language version of my Hajimari item editor cheat table for our Chinese friends, but I still haven't figured out what CLE did. Making a Japanese version was super easy - if anyone wants it then I'll post it.) The Hajimari fan translation depended on the Japanese assets, and the Zerofield Kuro spreadsheet also uses the Japanese text. So if CLE only includes their encrypted assets, modders are going to have a challenge on their hands - especially if CLE has changed any pointers or removed code to read unprotected assets because then we can't shove in PS4 assets. Still, who am I to underestimate what our community can do? Watch them come out with an English patch on the 28th or something insane like that. ? Edit: Loving that teaser screenshot btw! The translation is already done. The script insertion will take some time because it's literally copy-pasted line by line manually, but give them a month or so and they'll have it done. There were no texture coordinates assigned to the hands, so they were using a random segment of the texture which looked strange. I can't actually draw textures, nor do I understand how UV unwrapping works, so my "fix" was to have the hands just use the texture coordinates of the arms. This looks passable but there won't be any details if you take a closer look at the hands. For some characters, like Sara, the hands are separate from the body mesh and therefore not affected by the custom body texture. This could be fixed by making a new texture for the hand mesh that blends into the body texture. I imagine the hand mesh is the same for every character, so you probably only need to make one texture and you can reuse that for every character. It might be as simple as recoloring the existing texture used by the hands to match the skin tone of the body. I can try to fix them myself but it probably won't be anytime soon. 1

I did try learning about 3DMigoto for other games, watched a bunch of tutorials, but it didn't seem to work very well for me (about trying to extract things from the game). So I just gave up on it. Too tired of this tool and it was wasting my time instead of spending those time to actually modding things. I'm sorry for the deleted comment though. I had no ill intention. I just want to say it straight and hope these mods will be improved. 1

IMO they’re not worth your time, working with original phyreEngine assets seems far more obtuse than individual 3DMigoto mesh extracts and the only way to get them back into the game is with tools provided by phyreEngine itself. There is still a faint seam if you focus on the wrist, but it's definitely an improvement. This takes 5-10 minutes to do per character so it's not a huge amount of work. I'll fix the rest of the characters at some point and upload a patch. Maybe next week. 8

Disclaimer: I've written it to be relatively safe and foolproof, but this is trickier than installing 3Dmigoto mods and you could theoretically break your game to the point of needing to reinstall (but that would be hard if you only use my tools). In Steam, you do not ever need to reinstall because you can go to {right click game name} Properties -> Local Files -> Verify Integrity of Game Files and it will fix all your broken files. I am NOT providing any support for these tools. I am providing these tools so others can make their own mods to share. Again, these are tools, not mods. (BUT! I will include a sample mod that I made for you to try, so keep reading!) Instructions: Reveal hidden contents 1. You need to know what models you want to mess with. Grab my python script that decodes the names table from my github (direct link), and put it in {CS3 / CS4 / Hajimari folder}/data/text/dat_en (or /data/text/dat if using fan translation), and execute it. It will spit out table.csv, which can be opened in excel or openoffice, etc. 2. Grab extract_pka.py here and aa - inject model.py here, as well as the unpackpkg.py library (the pka and pkg libraries are forked from uyjulian, all credit to them). Put it into {CS3 / CS4 / Hajimari folder}/data/asset/D3D11. For CS3/CS4, run extract_pkg.py, press enter (first question asks for pka and defaults to assets.pka), then second question asks which files you need. If you put in a search term, it will match and grab multiple files (typing in CHR087 is like *CHR087*). You don't need extract_pka for CLE Hajimari since it's not archived in the first place. If you download my sample mod below, it comes with these three files already - newest versions always at github. 3. Execute aa - inject model.py. It asks for the source .pkg, then it asks for the target .pkg. It will make a backup of the target, and then push the source into the target. If there is a backup of the source, it will always use the backup to inject. This means: 1. As long as you only use my tool instead of editing your own files, your original files are safe, 2. You can do easy swaps (inject A->B and then B->A will result in a swap, because it will always use the backup original of B to inject), and 3. You can restore the original model by injecting into itself (inject A->B and then B->B will restore B to original, because again it will always use the backup original of B to inject). It will never overwrite the first backup, so you can literally do A->B, C->B, D->B, and then B->B and you will still end up with B. NOTE: The injector expects the target to already exist and will refuse to inject into a new file. This is for two reasons: 1. so that it can make a backup, and you won't be confused on re-injections, and 2. to prevent confusing you if you make a spelling mistake (since it wouldn't otherwise cause an error). So in CS3/CS4, extract BOTH source and target, not just source. 4. CS4 will read .pkg files preferentially over the .pka file without further fuss. CS3 will do so as well, BUT you need to move the files to {CS3 folder}/data/asset/D3D11_us (or at least I did with mine - NIS America Steam release). My suggestion for CS3 is to move everything over except the .pka file and extract_pka.py. Keep your backups in D3D11_us as well, and you can inject back and forth. 5. To do whole model swaps, you will need to replace at a minimum columns B,D,E in the excel sheet from step 1. Maybe other parts too, I haven't fully figured this out. Be careful, the model parts in column E are often shared. You may also want to swap the .inf files. So I've been experimenting. If you've been following the Hajimari thread where @Switch608 and I have been developing this (understandable if you haven't, plenty of spoilers), we've shown that swapping costumes in Hajimari is pretty trivial as the assets are unpacked and the XML files are uncompressed. We also swapped a few costumes in CS4. Here's what I've achieved today! Moving assets between games: Here is a costume exclusive to CS4, injected into CS3. Turns out their formats are identical. @Whayameen wanted to see if whole models could be replaced for the a certain scene. The answer is sort-of yes. Here you can see a new character in place on stage! (Mild spoiler) Reveal hidden contents Unfortunately, the original character has some fancy physics that the new character lacks, I think. The new character seems pretty content to just stand there and look pretty. I'm betting there's something else that needs to be injected (or maybe I injected too much?), I don't know what. Reveal hidden contents I also figured out the XML compression issue, allowing default costumes to be changed! (This was an issue because the filenames were of different length - if you don't know what I'm talking about then don't worry about it.) Here, you can see I've backported Alisa's bathing costume into CS3. (Implications... HMM... I'll wait here while you think about this.) Unfortunately the NISA CS3/CS4 assets are compressed with lz4 and the CLE Hajimari assets are compressed with zstandard, so they aren't compatible with each other. I think I can make a "convertor" by decompressing the files, but the resultant files will be huge unless I can also figure out how to recompress them. I'm not going to bother for the moment, but maybe I'll come back to it later. I have no idea what NISA will do with Hajimari, if they'll use lz4 or zstandard or what. So no nude Elie in CS4 for now, sorry, but I really want to work on my mod for a while. As promised here is my sample mod for CS4! It will achieve the exact thing you see in the spoiler-marked images above. Extract to {STEAM}\The Legend of Heroes Trails of Cold Steel IV\data\asset\D3D11 and you'll see two batch files, I promise it's obvious which one injects the mod and which one restores the original configuration. For CS3/CS4, the use of the nude mods is based on my compatibility wrapper. (You also need to use my wrapper in Hajimari if you want to use both the skirt delete mod and the nude mod together.) You will need my skirt delete mod, the wrapper, and the nude mod itself. You can also add on S_S_Majin's nude towel mod, which uncovers the remaining girls without nude mods. First, make sure to grab the correct package from coomi's post (body models only). Spoiler OPTIONAL BUT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FIRST STEP: First, disable or remove Special K if previously using. Remove prior installs of 3DMigoto by using the provided uninstall.bat. If you have prior mods installed, remove them by renaming the Mods folder. Spoiler Open up the skirt delete mod, and extract the files into the folder with the game (CS3/bin/x64, or CS4/bin/Win64). Spoiler FOR CS4 and HAJIMARI: Open up the nude mod. Go into the Mods folder, and extract the nude mod into that folder. Spoiler Open up the compatibility wrapper, and put it in the folder with your nude mods. Spoiler For Hajimari, replace Noel.ini and Rixia.ini with the provided files in my compatibility wrapper archive. Spoiler Quote FOR CS3: Quote Open up the nude mod. Go into the Mods folder, make a new folder, and extract the following 7 nude mods into that folder. Don't copy Juna (see next step). Spoiler Juna's mod for Hajimari isn't compatible at all, use my version. Also, install the compatibility wrapper now by copying it to the folder. Spoiler All the Hajimari ini files are incompatible with CS3. Use the files in my compatibility wrapper, and replace all the incompatible ini files by copying the provided files into the corresponding folders, overwriting the files. Spoiler Finally, to use the nude mods, you need to have the items in the game. The easiest way is using New Game Plus; I have save files for both CS3 and CS4 included in my skirt delete mod. You can also use Cheat Engine if you don't want to start over in CS3. In CS4, you will get the items necessary by normally playing the game (but you can use cheat engine if you want them early). These mods are for the PC (Windows DX11) platform as they are dependent on 3DMigoto.
