Character model is bugged

My character keeps defaulting back to having her boobs up, and squashed in in really ugly way. It has happened to multiple characters now. If I go back to the race menu, and rebuild them it fixes it briefly, but as soon as leave the race menu it goes right back. I've also tried disabling "CBP", and still nothing. Does anyone know whats causing this, or have suggestions to fix it?

It might take people a while to read through that detailed description of the problem.

Perhaps if you posted an image it would help.

I tried making her tits smaller to see if it would be less noticeable, and it made things worse. Someone please help

If it was HDT shouldn't deactivating hdt framework, Hdt physics, then resetting my character in race menu fix the issue. Do I just have to create a new character without hdt in the first place?

The correct way would be to fix the xml of the hdt hairs.
In SKSE \ Plugins there is a log file from HDT. There you can see what this xml is called and where it is saved. If you cannot fix it yourself, you can also upload the xml here and we will fix the file.

Sorry, but where do I find the xml file? I found an SKSE folder in Overwrite, but it just led to a JSON file. I also saw some people saying there should be an SKSE folder in the data folder, or under my games, but I can't find any xml files.

SKSE\Plugins\hdtPhysicsExtensions.log

The XML files that are loaded by the game are listed in this log file.

yes

Then the SKSE\Plugins folder will be wherever MO puts it. I don't use MO but I know it doesn't put stuff in the Data folder.

I can see the "script extender log" in my MO2 window, but I have no idea where its stored. It says "HDTSSEFramework" experienced a fatal error, and was disabled. I have tried completely removing all physics mods, uninstalling and reinstalling wrye, fnis, and bodyslide, and the problem still persists even on brand new characters. I have tried reinstalling new downloads of "HDTSSEFramework", "fuz ro doh" because the log said there was a problem with each of them, and "HDTSSEphysics" just in case, then reinstalling wrye, fnis, and bodyslide. Still no luck. At this point I could take or leave the physics mods just as long as the game works.

Bro, I hate to say it but it sounds like your moving into rebuilding mode. Now it sounds like you've read up on what you're doing rather extensively, but may have still missed one or two very important installation steps/tips. If I were you, I would go back and read the fine print on every mod that has anything to do with this and try reinstalling everything over again. Using MO2, so you don't need to nuke your install. If other people can run these mods just fine in their game, so can you.

99% of the time when things go wrong in your modded game, it is because of some little thing you missed- I know this all too well from experience.

I second this. I always assume user error when my game goes tits.

First thing you need to do is learn how to use your mod manager properly. If things are screwed at that level then they aren't going to be working flawlessly in game.

Ya, my Mod Organizer kinda fucked. I've got a folder for Mod organizer on my I drive. my E drive (which used to be my C drive). and my H drive, and I don't even know what drive that was before my power supply died. I think the thing that really fucked my game though was when I renamed the mod directory folder because it was just named new folder, and I kept forgetting what it was. So I renamed it, destroyed a bunch of pathways and my load order, then tried fixing it by naming it new folder again, but I think the damage was already done.

Is it possible to salvage anything, or do I have to start from square one?

I'm honestly surprised the game seems work just fine apart from my boobs looking kinda lumpy considering everything I've done to it.

Even not using MO2, I can rebuild my Skyrim game in about a day or maybe three at most. I look at it as an opportunity to do things different- maybe find a few more cool mods I didn't notice before and get rid of any I didn't care for.

Take note that if you made any personal modifications to mods, you will need to back those up somewhere and remember them when rebuilding.

One thing I've never understood is how people make changes to mods using MO2? I'm thinking you would have to unpack the mod, install manually to make changes and test, then repack and replace the old mod in MO2? Or is there some other way?

I make a backup in MO (feature) , xedit the mod, that's it.

To revert, just click backup, reinstall.

No need to unpack etc.

Actually, I unpack anyway everything. So I can hide stuff or set an esp optional, see all overwrites, just better handling.

Everything will be displayed via little icons.

Or install as usual, edit, activate, let overwrite or deactivate old version.

I place the new mod below old version (left overwrite window) and esp just below old esp (right window load order.

So I can activate old or new version without disturbing lo or ov.

Try putting the skeleton below all your bpdyslide output in the left pane.  MO boobcrush looks a bit different than your screenshot but worth a look.

I think I figured out the problem. It was a bad bodymorph, and I kept importing the settings over with DCL's import MCM function (except I feel like it did happen once on a new character even before I imported the MCM, but maybe I misremembering). Anyways the problem seems like its fixed, and I even have working boobs physics. I am still getting an error message saying "hdt sse framework" experienced a fatal problem when loading, and was disabled, but everything seems to be working
