talwyn182 Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 That is looking awesome, if I can make a suggestion have you guys considered limiting the amount of clothing or armor that could be worn during the pregnancy? For instance if you guys go ahead with trying to do a Skyrim mod (which I totally hope you do) like having one particular article of clothing set aside as maternity clothes that the character switches to as she gets bigger. That way you don't have to fret over trying to do a ton of models for the tons of different clothing. And you can also do this tactic for light and heavy armor as well. Heck if you used MAK07's CBBE armor as a basis it probably wouldnt take that much work since all his armor variants are pretty much all bare midriff anyways. Â It was just a thought I had while I was playing around with the New Vegas mod, it just seemed like a ton of work on you guys to try and do this huge boatload of models one after the other, when probably most people like myself were just going to try and find one particular outfit that shows off the belly anyways. Â Anyways this mod rocks and you guys are awesome for doing it.
Evilrunner Posted June 6, 2012 Author Posted June 6, 2012 Thanks for the feedback. I've been mainly trying to stick as close to the vanilla meshes as possible and getting as many done as possible mainly for the immersion factor. While designated maternity clothes would be a lot less time consuming, I think it definitely adds to the mod to be able to put on any outfit in game and have your pregnancy show. It's a lot of work (there are currently ~ 400 meshes in the maternity clothes pack) but I definitely think it's worth it. Â I think pretty much most outfits we've done that aren't one piece outfits actually change to bare belly as the pregnancy progresses. We've sort of gone for a look of trying to keep the clothes the same size throughout, so at later stages it can't quite fit over the body. I've sort of being assuming that general consensus amongst downloaders is that bare bellies are preferred when possible (hopefully I'm not wrong ) Â When we start Skyrim models, I'll probably ask for requests of favourite outfits, just so ideally we can get the most popular ones done early. With the weight system in Skyrim, we're probably going to cut down on the number of stages though, 3 normal stages, and one inhuman size. Ideally I'd want to make a normal covered armour type and a skimpier version of each, but that's a lot of time.
Guest user29 Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Those blender scripts need to come out for skyrim. Would save so much time. I'll help you do some but I probably won't start cranking them out until the scripts are released. Some has to be working on them right? Â Also your p4 looks fine now. I'd call it done.
Evilrunner Posted June 6, 2012 Author Posted June 6, 2012 People are still working on them I assume but it may still be a while before they are done. I don't even know if they are still working on blender 2.5 or moved to 2.6x. Â Glad the P4 is done I figured out the side issues as well, the belly is weighted to the right breast, and the edges weren't smoothed, so now I know what to do for P6. (hmm, just a thought but our meshes seem to be BBB weighted, Better bouncing bellies )
Guest user29 Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 speaking of shameless  http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/46515  a pregnant wonder woman costume? Yes please.
Guest user29 Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 the right boob looks mostly good. The left boob (if the camera is from behind) needs quite a bit of cleaning up. You've got a lot of non boob weighted to breast.L
Guest user29 Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 How do I go about splitting a mesh? Like you know on the lady outfit how the two sides of the jacket come together at the button? I want to split that apart.
Evilrunner Posted June 6, 2012 Author Posted June 6, 2012 I think that one is already seperate. The proportional edit tool has 2 options, 1 is the default and the other only moves connected vertices. I'm guessing you're trying to open the jacket for P4+? Â I'll look at the P6
Halstrom Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 speaking of shameless http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/46515  a pregnant wonder woman costume? Yes please.  Well if you're going to do Wonderwoman, see if you can make the belt removable or swap it to a standard gold belt, it would make P4 easier and it seems to me that noone wouldn leave her with the Belt, Tiara & Bracers after knocking her up anyway, would be more fun to be able to pickpocket them off her first depowering her Of course SuperGirl qould be nice too
Evilrunner Posted June 6, 2012 Author Posted June 6, 2012 Stuff like that is always welcome, a bit of form fitting stuff is quite nice, and if you can get it to fit up to P6 that would be pretty awesome. Â Maybe P4+ have the outfit start to split so by P6 there are holes over the body. Â Also, new P6 is up.
Guest user29 Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 I don't have permission to use anything by that author I don't think. Or did he give us permission earlier for his outfits? i can't remember. Â Lady outfit split well. and I'll take a look at your p6.
Guest user29 Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 I can't find any problems with p6. And goddam I forget how big that one is sometimes.
Evilrunner Posted June 7, 2012 Author Posted June 7, 2012 Looks good. P6 is pretty huge, I think I may have gone a bit overboard, but I like it, nothing like a huge abnormally bloated belly  Anyway, now that P6 is good, you happy to say were done on all the nude bodies now? I'm happy with what we have.
Guest user29 Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 Wow that looks really good.  Thanks. And for anyone else reading our conversations' date=' chime in at any time. I love getting feedback, good or bad.  I can only do what you guys want if you let me know what that is.   Looks good. P6 is pretty huge, I think I may have gone a bit overboard, but I like it, nothing like a huge abnormally bloated belly  Anyway, now that P6 is good, you happy to say were done on all the nude bodies now? I'm happy with what we have.  Yeah I think they're all set. I'd like to weight clothing to each one to double check to make sure. That's how I even noticed last time that something was wrong.
Evilrunner Posted June 7, 2012 Author Posted June 7, 2012 Good start then, half expected the worst  Going to get a basic checklist of stock meshes done. Feel free to start putting non stock stuff on dropbox, ChangelogNonStock.txt is going to have those listed and any other details.  First things I think I'll do are some of Loogie's tryout stuff. None of them are that complicated to do, Loogie's clothing seems to struggle at covering much
talwyn182 Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 I am really liking what you guys are doing with that outfit, I know which one I am using when this goes live.
Guest user29 Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 You know you're on to something when you quietly chuckle to yourself at the sheer ridiculousness of the outfit you're creating. Â edit: that poor jacket.
