Help - I can't get any sex mod to work.

It appears I need a degree in programming to get any of this stuff to work.  I've played through Fallout 4 twice, so I'm familiar with it.  I've installed about 30 mods just fine.  But these sex mods are too complicated for me.  They all seem to require something else, which in turn requires three other things, and so on.  And they never do what they're meant to.  Can anyone suggest a simple one to install, that doesn't have 50 pre-requisites and multiple configurations to go through just to have sex with a companion or NPC?

It is not that simple. For a start you need nude bodies. Then a framework to play the animations. Then the animations themselves.

Modding isn't as simple.

Try this.

Wow, that's ridiculous.  Non sex mods just work.  The most I've had to do is install one other mod as a requirement.  Why are these so complicated?

Because these aren't just "An armor/weapon mod" or "A UI mod". All the animation packs are the works of several very different people, as are the rest of the mods and as such, said mods will conflict or butt each others head in one way or another.

Themes are the solution to the absolute mess of a nightmare that is Skyrim's tags for example.

UAP would be the unifying force behind it all that makes sure the animations play correctly, don't get their positions fucked and such and also contains all creature assets used by certain animation packs.

It's not complicated if you read and follow the guide.

Pure Truth. Read and follow the guide and don't drop everything in at one time. Add one or two mods at a time and make sure they are working before adding any more. Beth games are fickle at best, they barely run without mods LOL.

I've also noticed that some new modders ( not aimed at OP, just a general observation ) can't grasp the meaning of "required mods", they seem to think required means optional. Why? *shrugs* Lack of education maybe...lack of knowing the english language maybe...maybe entitlement "you can't tell me what to install". Required is what it is.

No offence to those guides who came before, but this guide is not that hard to follow, and the answer to most folks initial issues are in all of the posts throughout this thread. But this newer generation has been weaned on instant answer apps ,minimal reading patience, and it should just work out of the box expectations. Most have not had to figure things out, handle adversity, understand that screwing up a few times builds character. Besides, once they master this, the next new fad will be on their life radar and we will never see them here again.

Why should I have to do the programmer's work for them?  I want to spend my evening playing the game!

If the mod needs something from elsewhere, that should be included with it.  If I install a program that needs VC++ runtime, it comes with the download.

And it is far too complicated when you compare it with Nexus mods.  I just click download, then install.  The way it should be.  The way it is with far more complex things like say a whole computer program.

Because AAF is just a framework. It depends on the work of many other people making mods to utilize what it will do. There are no shortcuts or cliff notes. Yes...its a bit of a hassle, but nothing good comes easy. To me it seems you just cant accept that so my advice would be to go back to console gaming or something. Many good people above have pointed you in the right direction and you find new ways to complain about the directions.

Author A makes a furniture mod

Author B makes a mod to include that furniture in his animations

You think they should bundle together even though author A might be horrified at the idea

Some people cant be helped.

You're more than welcome to make your own mods but don't go about bitching that it is too complicated when everything in here is the works of several different people with several different tastes.

Not to mention that, as mentioned above, AAF is nothing but a FRAMEWORK. Won't do anything by itself and in and of itself is not exclusively an adult framework/mod.

It is there so people can make their own mods and make use of it, whatever that may be.

And if you think this is complicated, i dread to think what you would think of Skyrim.

Good luck to you, i guess.

And yet all the mods over at Nexus just work.  At the most, when you download it, it says "you must have A and B for this to work", and gives you links, which you can click and it remembers if you have it.  Why do people go to so much trouble to write mods then don't bother with a good installer?

And I've followed directions, from numerous people, installed all the things they say to install, and still it just doesn't work.

If you're following the guide that was posted, I can't see how it can't be working. Also this isn't the nexus, if you're just gonna complain that you aren't getting everything spoonfed to you when people are trying to help you I suggest not bothering.

I don't call writing a program that installs itself "spoonfeeding".  I call it basic programming skills.

And what do you mean this isn't the Nexus?  Do you mean "this site is full of badly made disorganised rubbish"?  Even the site itself can't be bothered to email me when you reply.  I bet the server is in someone's shed.

I like to think that this is rubbish and then someone (like this dude below) goes and "proves" that you are correct.  Sigh.

Why should the programmer give 2 shits about you or your evening?  Did you pay them?  Did you give them some other compensation?

Which shows that you don't understand the first thing about modding.  Seriously.  Not even the first.  Modding is a non-paid activity.  "Programs" that you "PURCHASE" come with everything sure, because they invested money to acquire the "rights" to include VC++ bullshit whatever.  Can you see now that your little analogy is pure bullshit that has us laughing our collective asses off?  Seriously!  If modding is too difficult for you, which it clearly is, admit you are incompetent and move on.  Go buy a console and stay in your cryroom.  The things you claim don't work and are too complicated have been installed by 10's of thousands of people who are having a ton of fun with them.  But not you.  Now you could.  You are just too lazy or have some other issue with slowing down and doing some good old fashioned reading and following directions.  Hell, you barely have to do that as there are shit tons of youtube video's out there that you can watch to teach you how to do things.  But no.  You decided to dive into the deep end of the pool and nearly drowned and you want to complain that it was due to the pool being too deep.  I mean why would anyone have a deep end of the pool anyway?!?!  Sigh.
