[mod] RJW Menstruation

Even better suggestion:  Use Coffee's Lazy Installer.  You download this and put it in your mods folder, then just click on it and it downloads the most recent version of mods, and chooses the forks when the original mods die.

I'm using Lutepickle's fork, if I set the womb icon to be on, the colonist can't be drafted and their bottom bar disappears. if I click on the status button in the health tab the window is empty and it gives me this error:

Can anyone help me solve this or at least identify what's causing it?

Anyone else have all their female colonists start as menopausal every damn time? I do use character editor, and one of three was originally 55. She's 19 now. The other two are both, originally, 22. All of them are listed as in menopause as soon as I start the game. Their health stats all say their fertility is 90-145% too, so one is lying to me...

Do you change the age manually? usually when I do that this happens. I think it's because when generating the pawn originally she's set to menopause, and changing the age doesn't change that fact. What you have to do is generate a young enough female and then customize her.

I did for one, but even the two that autogenerated at 22 were in menopause. I only messed with the 57 year old’s age. Might try again though I guess?

I use RIMMsqol. Lets you edit the gestation time of any race. It's also the tweak everything mod.

One question, does lactation state prevent pregnancy or reduce fertility like in standard RJW? Looking through the code can't determine if it affected or not. Thanks!

According to normal Rimword it reduces it to a 5%. I'm also looking for a way to modify this in any sort of way; even with the coctail of mods that I have on, it's still a thing.

Once a Pawn Becomes Pregnant the display for seeing the baby and other info are just blank. about 6 months ago the mods I had all worked together so I'm not sure what's going on.
It's base game pawns and The Saiyans. Had a base game pawn wander in and join she was pregnant, I wasn't able to see her info for the baby by clicking on the picture tab. I could see it's genes with the view (genes button(I know it's not part of your mod).

I have the problem with fertility of teen pawns. The cycle doesn't move on and stopped at the statee "none". (there are 9days passed from the start of the game, the bar is still at the same possition). The pawn has "increased fertility" trait, but fertilly is still 0%.

I had the same problem, it seems to me that its a preformance enhancer mod, make sure you arent running any

I am struggling to get it to work with animals. Seems female pawns are not getting pregnant regardless of their phase. I am using Biotech, but have the mod set to work with its own system. Anyone know a fix?

This can be a little tricky to solve. First, do you have any other mods installed that could be interfering with Menstruation (Maybe upload a full mod list if that is the case)? 

Second, this is more of a pointer in the right direction but is both Menstruation and RJW set to run its own pregnancy systems over Biotech? Both mods have their own options for pregnancy and both need to be set correctly for it to work. Also, have you tested this with Biotech's system enabled since you are using it? If so and the problems still continue, then consider my first question. 

And lastly, which version are you using? If it's the fork from Github, you should be fine. If it's the version from this thread (Which the menu displayed suggests), it has been abandoned for nearly a year now (since Ideologies at least) so consider getting the fork instead. It can be found on the main RJW page under mods for 1.4, or you can use the lazy installer courtesy of C0ffeeeee which can also be found on the main RJW page in the same place. 

I had a similar issue before about the female pawns and animals not getting pregnant and I trouble shot all these options until it eventually worked (combination of incompatible mods as well as outdated mods with my options not being correct). Hope this helps.

Oh! You are a life saver! I will definitely try out the installer and check git for newer mods. I am still very new to git (started downloading stuff off it today) so it is all a bit confusing still. Thank you so much, though!

 

Is there a difference between Menstration and RJW's pregnancy systems? I am trying to have it so creatures propagate/are the preferred race that appears, but I have not had success so far. I have had one human be born, though, so that is progress!

If you have Menstruation installed, it should just override RJW if both are set to use their own systems. The Biotech option, however, is only for Pawn (as it, human) pregnancies, so chances are you have a mod either outdated or just a compatibility issue that's causing your issues with creatures. Just get everything up to date and work from there. 

Edit: One more thing, when downloading the installer, you MUST have an up to date version of Github installed on your computer. It will not work without it.

RimPy isn't showing any compatibility issues from what I can see, other than the occasional mod version not matching the game version. They're all just warnings, but I do get errors in game.

Wow, not THAT'S a mod list. If you need help with sorting it, there are a few guides that can help on steam and google (I would help, but my list isn't nearly as big as yours). Also, if you are using the lazy installer, there are a few mods that have yet to be updated. A few might work, but I know for a fact the Animation Patch (the one that is not by the original author of RJW Animations) and Cumflation Graphics will screw up your game if you use them. Not so sure about Animal Addon (I don't use it), and Milkable Colonists is also tricky (Should either be getting an update soon or it's being integrated into another mod, can't confirm atm). I'm unfamiliar with the other three, so if you got them on steam, there should be forks available for them already. If not, then I'm of no help there.

Hmmm, this error typically occurs if you're missing Race Support, which could explain why you're having issues with animal pregnancies. I checked your mod list over and I couldn't see it on there. Unfortunately, it's the one mod that isn't available with the lazy installer, but you can find it on the RJW 1.4 mod list where I directed you last time. Once added and activated, it will make the errors go away and your game should be just fine from here on (with RJW at least). Fair warning though, make sure all of RJW's mods are loaded after it and that RJW is loaded after all other mods besides what depends on it. Don't depend on the auto sort to do this for you. Hope this solves everything.

Hi all,

I'm running a game with a Vanilla extended Psycaster whos got all those sweet chronopath abilities. 

Basically every time a raid happens or they go out to the rim all the prisoners they capture get taken back to the base and she sucks out their youth until they die. Then she can rejuvenate the other colonists with another of the VE psycasts. 

The question I've got came into play when one of my older colonists I recruited showed up and had already hit menopause. That made sense and all but the odd thing is after she got restored back down to her 20s it still said her status was menopause. 

I was wondering if that kind of temporal chicanery is beyond the scope of this mod. I've run into issues with others regarding how they don't do birthday checks right when the aging psycast triggers.

the same thing happens if you edit a menopausal pawns age with character editor

its probably intended, found this in the change log:

 - Climacteric and menopause are now per-womb, appearing in the womb dialog instead of as hediffs. Any old hediffs should disappear upon loading the save.

 

 

if you get another vagina from buying one or harvesting a younger pawn you can do a surgery to your pawn to remove hers and replace it, should work

you can think of it as a uterus transplant or something
