North-Star Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 Hi, I know there already some people floating around who are experience the same thing, but most answers are just nonsense (hardware failure, defrag, temperature etc.) My system is rock stable when playing much more demanding games. After around 15 hours of gameplay I suddenly get CTD when loading any save. I just make a break or want to continue the next day and every single save crashes. No changes of content or settings are made, all save games are clean in Fallrim Tools. What I get are dozens of lines like this in papyrus log: Quote [01/30/2021 - 04:14:24PM] warning: Property AutoPutMSG on script MyHouseAutoPutscript attached to (290609BA) cannot be initialized because the script no longer contains that property [01/30/2021 - 04:14:24PM] warning: Property LSextSpouseinFalkreath on script LSextHomeSensorScript attached to (24150AE2) cannot be initialized because the script no longer contains that property [01/30/2021 - 04:14:24PM] warning: Property LSextSpouseinMageHQ on script LSextHomeSensorScript attached to (24150AE2) cannot be initialized because the script no longer contains that property [01/30/2021 - 04:14:24PM] warning: Property QuestRequired on script LSextHomeSensorScript attached to (24150AE2) cannot be initialized because the script no longer contains that property [01/30/2021 - 04:14:24PM] warning: Property BedTrap3 on script LSextHomeSensorScript attached to (24150AE2) cannot be initialized because the script no longer contains that property [01/30/2021 - 04:14:24PM] warning: Property HousecarlRef on script LSextHomeSensorScript attached to (24150AE2) cannot be initialized because the script no longer contains that property [01/30/2021 - 04:14:24PM] warning: Property BedEnabled2 on script LSextHomeSensorScript attached to (24150AE2) cannot be initialized because the script no longer contains that property [01/30/2021 - 04:14:24PM] warning: Property RelationshipMarriageFIN on script LSextHomeSensorScript attached to (24150AE2) cannot be initialized because the script no longer contains that property 01/30/2021 - 04:14:24PM] Error: Element of property Merchant on script MyHouseBusinessScript attached to (29049B57) cannot be bound because <nullptr form> (000198AD) is not the right type [01/30/2021 - 04:14:24PM] Error: Element of property Merchant on script MyHouseTodayMerchantScript attached to (29066DC8) cannot be bound because <nullptr form> (0004E0B3) is not the right type It doesn´t matter if I start a new game with or without mods, start a new run with Alternate Start or whatever. I played with SexLab mods or completely without any Sexlab content, it always ends the same. I can´t even find the scripts which are mentioned in the log and I mod skyrim for some years now. The only thing which i use everytime are SKSE, Engine Fixes or Bug Fixes with their dependencies. So I´m quite sure it´s one of them or the combination. Anyone here with similar problems or maybe a solution?
Baltasarr80 Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 did you delete your old skse files?if yes ...deinstall/remove everything and delete your my games folder too
anjenthedog Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 Have you tried making periodic saves, then doing a reload every now and then to clear buffers? If nothing else, at least you don't lose 15 straight hours (what is that a week or two of skyrim time?). Incidental cell changes alone aren't enough to guarantee that you get a flurry of autosaves to regain lost progress on CTD. Periodic manual saves are a must (IMO)
North-Star Posted January 31, 2021 Author Posted January 31, 2021 Thank you for your input. Yes I have tried these things already. Normally I prefer manual saving over the auto saves. Things I tried already: Disabling Auto Save, reinstall everything from scratch, changing from MO2 to Vortex. Avoid as many scripts as possible, even no cleaning of the game masters. After the buggy launch of Cyberpunk I decided to give SSE another try to kill some time. I will start a last attempt without using SSE Fixes and similar common bugfix mods, before I try going back to LE.
gregathit Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 Try a complete uninstallation and then go manually delete any files or folders that are not deleted. Both in the steam folder and in the my games/skyrim folder. Then do a complete new installation. Install only SKSE (make sure you use the SE addition) only and start a new game. Play a bit and make a manual save, then exit. See if you can then run the game and load that save. If that works, then slowly build your modding library. Install only the unofficial SE bugfix. Don't waste time with any of the others. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/266/ Install some other mods and then test by making a manual save and then exiting, reload and try the saved game. Add some more mods (2-3) and rinse/repeat. Triple check that you are installing ONLY SE mods. LE mods will crash your SE game. Yes, it is slow. However it will help you pinpoint what mod or mods blow up your game. Also, I don't recommend Vortex at all. But hey, your call.
North-Star Posted February 6, 2021 Author Posted February 6, 2021 Finally after weeks of testing I found the cause, it has been SKSE 2.0.19. After rolling back to 2.0.17 SSE is running rock stable. I can load any save and all used mods are working fine.
