G3mHunter Posted January 19, 2021 Posted January 19, 2021 Hello Everyone, I'm looking for some help me with FNIS CTDs. I'll start by describing the events that lead to this pattern, 1.- I made a new save from the pause menu before getting the CTDs 2.- I close the game for a day 3.- I try to load my game the next day 4.- CTD after the loading screen and before I can even see the world 5.- I manually trouble shoot my mods one by one disabling them and enabling them in groups of five 6.- doing this I realize that FNIS is making my game crash and I get the feeling it's related to XP32 but I'm not too sure on it 7.- I run the tool "Save Tool" to remove the orphan scripts on my save (this usually stops CTDs for me but it didn't work) Here is my load order, I hope it helps, and thankyou for all tips and help PS: As you would of imagine running the game without FNIS makes my character T-Pose Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler

Like other mod managers, Vortex has a place for keeping your tools (like FNIS, LOOT, Bodyslide, etc.). That location is NOT in the load order. You should be able to run FNIS without it being in your load order. Go back and review how to use Vortex properly. 2) Assuming that you are using Skyrim LE (as opposed to Special Edition) you might find this mod from Nexus helpful. 3) Finally, LL has forums for each type of game including Skyrim. In future, a question such as this is best placed in a thread in the Skyrim Forum in the Technical Support Subforum. Good luck and happy hunting.

There is nothing obviously wrong with Vortex in the screenshots. More useful here would be the FNIS output.
Heroine HoneyCrotch Posted January 19, 2021 Posted January 19, 2021 skeleton should probably be after sos, sos being last is weird Your LO is weird, Try moving sos up,and skeleton lower. Did Loot do that?

I know about the tool section of vortex, it’s just that I thought the load order would help, FNIS is there and the tool has the appropriate target location. I’ll send some screenshots when I get home. Is there anything in particular that would help to screenshot? also thanks for the technical support forum, I’m still a bit new to posting and navigating forums

Is there anything in particular that would help to screenshot? also thanks for the technical support forum, I’m still a bit new to posting and navigating forums Since you think your problem may be related to FNIS then the output after you Generate FNIS for Users would be helpful. You can screenshot it or you can simply use cut and paste. In either case let me suggest you place your output in a spoiler (accessed by hitting the "eye" icon on the bar above which you type (where you can also see "Source", "Size", "Font", etc.) Turn off the plug-in for XPMSE unless you are using Dual Sheath Redux. This gives papyrus a little more room in which to breathe. Last, I am no expert on Vortex but I believe that if you click on the icon on the top right of the Vortex screen that looks like 3 vertical dots or buttons it will give you a dropdown menu. One of the options in that menu should be to copy your load order to your clipboard. You are likely to find doing that much more efficient than taking screenies. You can then paste your load order in a spoiler with just a couple clicks. Edit: I just saw the FNIS output you posted. That's what we were looking for and it looks good. (Please note the easier way of doing this I mentioned above). If you have it separately, you don't need Realistic Ragdolls and Force as it is included in XPMSE. And to clarify, turn off the XPMSE - DO NOT DELETE IT. It needs to be present to do its magic but the plug-in is not needed and can be harmful.

Nope. The three dots in Vortex get you: Send Feedback Diagnostic Files About To get a load order from Vortex is a pain in the proverbial - it's about a mile down under a hidden folder.

The directions about the 3 dots (it's on the right side of the blue bar) remain the same (that's why I thought Vortex would put it there).

woodsman30 Posted January 19, 2021 Posted January 19, 2021 Interesting but would need load order.. also Vortex has it's own sorting system use it only if using vortex do not let loot sort it. CTD at start usually means skeleton issues can you load any save?
