Jmzz Posted January 4, 2021 Posted January 4, 2021 View File DAR - Pretty Sit Idles + Random Female Sitting Merges the female sitting animation from Pretty Sit Idles and Sexy Sit Animation and add the Dynamic Animation Replacement functionality so that they trigger randomly.  All credit for the original animations belongs with the original authors. See, https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/10399 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/37413?tab=files  This file requires the Dynamic Animation Replacer (DAR). If you don't install DAR then this mod will do nothing! DAR is a awesome in that it allows you to define rules that dynamically change which animation plays. In this case the rules are very simple if you are female and sit down play one of the ~20 sitting animations at random. That said DAR can do so much more and can effect almost every animation in the game.  Installation Install DAR if you don't have it. Install this mod.  I should note that there are issues with one or two of the animations clipping with the chairs. This is an issue in the original animation not anything I have done.  I've noticed that a lot of the DAR mods out there don't implement the randomization properly. To get my own head around it I wrote the following and include it here in the hope that it will help others.  DAR triggers whenever you do something that triggers an animation. At that point DAR goes through the animation rules starting with the highest number and stops as soon as a rule meets the conditions. This means to have all animations trigger equally the animation with the highest number should have the lowest chance.    E.g. if you have 3 animations. and want each animation to have a 33.3% chance of playing you would define rules so that,    Animation 1 has a 33.3% chance of playing (i.e. 1 in 3).    If animation one didn't play the animation2 would have a 50% chance of playing (i.e. 1 in 2 as there are only 2 left).    Finally, if animation 2 didn't play then animation 1 is 100%.  Net result all three have an equal 33% chance. All the percentages are expressed in the 0 to 1 range (0=0%, 1=100%).  Extending this out gives the following percentages. Animation #   Fraction 1  1.000 2   0.500 3   0.333 4   0.250 5   0.200 6   0.167 7   0.143 8   0.125 9   0.111 10   0.100 11   0.091 12   0.083 13   0.077 14   0.071 15   0.067 16   0.063 17   0.059 18   0.056 19   0.053 20   0.050 21   0.048 22   0.045 23   0.043 24   0.042 25   0.040 26   0.038 27   0.037 28   0.036 29   0.034 30   0.033  Hopefully I got this right. If I haven't please let me know so I can fix this as a reference for others.  Submitter Jmzz Submitted 01/04/2021 Category Regular Mods Requires https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/33746 Regular Edition Compatible No 1
Durante Posted January 4, 2021 Posted January 4, 2021 Good job. Any chance for a LE version? Big please ?
Jmzz Posted January 5, 2021 Author Posted January 5, 2021 I don't use the LE version anymore but if you want to make your own version you should be able to do so in about 10mins without any special tools. All you would have to do is,  1) Download and install the Skyrim LE version of DAR. 2) Install this mod (yes even though its the SE version) you need it for the structure and the _condition files. 3) Download the LE versions of Pretty Sit Idles and Sexy Sit Animation but don't install. 4) Copy the hkx files for the female sitting animation into the numbered folders in meshes\actors\character\animations\DynamicAnimationReplacer\_CustomConditions. One file should go in each folder - It's doesn't mater which you put in which folder. 5) Test in game.  If you do this after you test it you should upload to help others. All you need to do is copy the folder from mod organizer zip it up and create a mod on LL ?.
Jmzz Posted January 5, 2021 Author Posted January 5, 2021 As an aside why use the LE version. I know switching over is painful but 99% of the old mods are available for SE and new mods are increasingly SE only. The biggest argument for me is stability. I'm running with over 600 mods several of which are script heave and I can go a week without a CTD!
decaluka Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 It's mostly people who spent a long time setting up their own load order I think, you kinda wanna stick with what you have
mrdoodle Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 The only downside I see to your approach is that it completely locks out any other sitting animations one would have installed.
Jmzz Posted January 6, 2021 Author Posted January 6, 2021 You have a couple of options if you want to change this. If you wanted you could alter the percentages in the condition files in this mod to leave some space for other sitting mods to run. DAR makes this as easy as editing the condition text file. Also any sitting mod that had a higher priority number it would take priority over this one. For example if you wanted the player or a particular race to always use a particular sitting animation you could give that a high priority rule to override this set. 1
nun56unn5ufg Posted January 7, 2021 Posted January 7, 2021 I like it. Â Â Â On 1/5/2021 at 9:14 PM, Jmzz said: You have a couple of options if you want to change this. Â I might look into how DAR works, my idea is to add back in vanilla sitting as additional animation for more variety.
Jmzz Posted January 8, 2021 Author Posted January 8, 2021 If you want to do this all you would need to do is, 1) Copy the 4005 folder (inc contents) to a new 4006 folder. 2) Change directory to the 4006 folder and paste in the default sitting animation 3) Use notepad to edit the "_conditions.txt" file. 4) Change the probability from 0.048 to 0.045 if you want it to have an equal probability to the rest, or change the probability to 0.33 or 0.5 if you want the default animation to be used 33% and 50% of the time. You could also create more complex rules if you want. 1
alfredini Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 Will the NPCs also use the animations or are they player character only?

no_chill03 Posted September 25, 2021 Posted September 25, 2021 Theres some odd conflicts I cant quite figure out. Mod is awesome btw, however some other mods completly disable this one. Although I cant find conflicts with vortex some poser mods disable this mod and PC has vanilla sitting animations instead. ANyone might have a clue? Load order also affects this behaviour, so far it only seems that this mod is affected.  btw I did usual, yes requirements are installed yada yada

No .esp, only animations that are performed according to the _conditions.txt. You need to look on your poser/etc mods. However, there are no mediums and shamans here to know exactly what you have installed.

igorkeri Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 Does anyone know the animation number of the idle where the female NPC sits backward on her chair? It looks great in the right setting, but when a chair is up against a wall, or the NPC is sitting on a crate or stump etc, it looks pretty silly. Is there a command to cycle through the idles in anyway?

I disabled 3904, 3905, and 3912. They seem to never show up now. So far anyway. I think those correspond to Sit Idles 04, 05, and 05 extra.
Gudulba Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 (edited) Is this mod compatible with NPC Animation Remix (DAR)? is there a way to test whether "DAR - Pretty Sit Idles + Random Female Sitting" is working properly? Seems to work properly. NPC and PC show different sittings animations. I would like to get rid of the floating "yoga" sitting animation? How would I do that? -> I may have found a way. I had a look at the installation file from https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/10399. With the help of the screenshots here, I was able to find out which animation corresponds to which file, and comparing the animation file sizes with our mod here, I just replaced the floating animation file with a file from another animation. TheElderBaka Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 Does this work with OAR? I Saw some posts on Nexus that the 1st mod has problems with OAR even though technically it should work since OAR is backwards compatible.

OAR is designed to recognize DAR file structures.
