Help with ctd on startup

My skyrim auto updated a few days ago and I wasn't able to downgrade to the old version I used so I've been trying to update all my mods and I keep crashing when ever the game opens and I have no idea what to do

Load your order up in xEdit and it will tell you if you are missing a master which is the most common cause of this as @flutie stated above.  Also, it may be that skse is causing the crash because of a bad skse dll.  Check all your mods and see if they have an skse dll and if so, make sure you update them after getting an skse that is compatible with the latest release. 

 

It sounds like you are using Flowergirls which does not have an skse plugin.  If you also are using Sexlab, uninstalling it unless there is an updated dll.

 

Better still, roll back to the previous version and make sure that steam does not update your game.

sounds like skse version, had similar when i first re-installed and got the latest version 2.019 as a lot of mods hadnt been updated so had to get 2.017 from the archive on the SKSE page

 

If you go to where ever you skyrim.exe is and click properties and then details will show the product version and you can then compare that to the supported versions on https://skse.silverlock.org/

 

But if this is a very recent update its possible that their isnt a SKSE for it yet
