Ignore_Badgers Posted November 15, 2020 Posted November 15, 2020 Getting back into the sims after about 2 years of not playing (Lost my origin account, got sims 4 on Steam during the Halloween sale). I remember back then I had a height slider. Wasn't perfect of course, all of the animations were broken but honestly kind of found it endearing when the taller would kiss the shorter sim's forehead. Size difference is a guilty pleasure of mine. So wondering if anyone knows any up to date height sliders and how they react to the animations. It is something not recommended, game breaking, etc?
Guest Posted November 15, 2020 Posted November 15, 2020 bad news for u, it's still the same problem. The only way for height slider to work is to create new animation that match. If you dont mind learning to animate, then the sky is wide open for you.

Wicked Whims has a height slider option but it only corrects sims height for WW sex animations. It just makes the sims grow or shrink to the default EA game heights for sex. All the EA vanilla romance interaction type animations are untouched so sims alignment is still off when using height sliders. Near impossible to predict the chosen height for each random sim to make all the different heights work right anyway. Not game breaking but maybe immersion breaking for some.

I remember people who made poses with pose player would manually make the heights different, which I wonder if it could be done in this case as well. For now I'm happy enough, was just a curiousity more than anything.
Oops19 Posted November 15, 2020 Posted November 15, 2020 There are height sliders which are supported by WW, but only one slider will be modified (as far as I can tell). So if two sliders which modify the height are applied to the sim and both are supported by WW is still does not work. And if one slider is unknown it also fails. So make sure that you use only one height slider and check WW compatibility. There are "fly" (move up/down) sliders and scale sliders but I think there is no list of supported sliders available.
snowdog04 Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 As has been pointed out already, WW has the setting that reverts your sims to default height during sex. But there's also a new feature. If you want to turn off the slider support setting, you can then adjust the sims position so it looks right. It usually has to get fixed for each animation, but it's good for when you want to take screen shots. For more details, go to the WW page, and scroll all the way to the bottom, and click where it says "Click Here for Changelog."

It is something not recommended, game breaking, etc? you have to go into ww settings and change it to cooperate with height sliders so yes it can work

More just a curiosity question than anything, not too torn up about it. Maybe I'll pick up 3d animation at some point, who knows. Lot of ideas and I'm an artist at heart. Been needing something fresh.

I'll be playing around with it at some point today
Iwontmasturbate Posted April 9, 2021 Posted April 9, 2021 Does anyone know what are the height factors from the Loomia Height Slider? Short, Medium Short, Medium Tall, and Tall. This is to know how much I need to scale the rigs in Blender. Thank you in advance!
