Schlongs, Females, Armors and Slot 52

Simply put, I would like to wear armors found in the The Amazing World of Bikini Armor and Bikini Ascend mods, but I can't do that since the slot is common with the imaginary schlong put on females by the SoS mod. I don't understand why the mod author equipped the schlong on females but if there is a patch anyone could direct me to for fixing this (so my player's crotch isn't out in the open), I would be most grateful.

Because people wanted Chicks with Dicks

As for a fix, I have a feeling the previous version SOS didn't have this problem (you could still equip armour to sloth 52) vsn 2.05.041

But if that doesn't work I would say the better choice would be change the bikini bottom slot to 49 (which seems the most commonly used one for panties, thongs etc)

It's a PITA but you're less likely to break something using changing an armour slot than changing something in SOS.

You'll need to change it in the esp and on the mesh as well.

Any way to do this without using the Creation Kit? I have been learning how to use xEdit so maybe I could do it there? Or, do you a patch via xEdit may solve the issue? At present, all 255 plugins are occupied though a patch as small as that can surely be merged into my Bashed Patch. I'm still uncomfortable using Merge Plugins ?

Yes, you can use xEdit, it's easier and faster to do this with than CK and you can just edit the esp of the custom armour(s) no need to make a new esp (make a backup of the original if you like but I expect you will have the original mod archive somewhere anyway)

Open the esp in xEdit.

Find the item you want to edit in ArmorAddon

Spoiler

Currently this is set to 45, if it were underwear I would set it to 49 but these are "Pants" (as in the American Pants) so instead I will set it to 54 (which I believe identified as a leg slot) I have checked the other items in this set, 53 is being used but 54 is free.

Do the same with the entry in Armor

Once done, save your changes.

Now open the mesh in nifskope.

If the armor is a Bodyslide variant then you want to change the mesh in CalienteTools\BodySlide\ShapeData and after changing this build the item again in Bodyslide (this will create _0 and _1 versions with the change) but I recommend making a copy of the original as a backup.

If not a Bodyslide outfit then you will have to amend both the _0 and _1 versions yourself.

Changing the low and high weight versions of a bodyslide mesh but not the ShapeData mesh will mean that the next time you build the item in Bodyslide the meshes will have the original slot location.

You're looking to change the BodyPart under BSDismemberSkinInstance

Again I'll be changing Slot 45 to Slot 54

In the example I am doing it has a Pale or Light version as seperate meshes so will need to do both of these. If you can't find the BSDismemberSkinInstance then it's possible that mesh doesn't have one. I can't tell you why this is, I've only seen it in items with cloth physics but in the cases it's not there just amending the ArmorAddon and Armor entries in xEdit will work.
