inb4poof Posted October 27, 2020 Posted October 27, 2020 View File Mal0/SCP-1471 for Star Wars: Jedi Academy (18+) WARNING: This mod contains flashing images. I made optional pk3s that hide the effect just in case. This is a port of a custom SFM model by CumminHam based on "Mal0" or SCP-1471 from SCP Foundation. This has NPCs, sounds, team skins, and bot support. To use the NPCs, while cheats are enabled, type "npc spawn (name)", replacing (name) with any of the npc names listed below. You can also play as the NPC by typing "playermodel (name)" List of NPC names: mal0 - spawns a default Mal0 mal0blue - spawns a blue team Mal0, on the good side mal0red - spawns a red team Mal0, on the enemy's side mal0_r - spawns a harmless Mal0 with 50,000 health Type "saber 1471" while cheats are enabled to use its weapon, or "saber 1471k" for the enemy version. There's also an optional pk3 that makes Mal0 use lightsabers instead. Details about the pk3 files: zzzMal0_SCP1471.pk3 - Contains the model, textures, sounds, custom weapon, botfile, and everything needed for the mod to work of course. zzzMal0_SCP1471NoFlash.pk3 - Optional. Removes the flashing images in Mal0's weapon zzzMal0_SCP1471NPCs.pk3 - Optional. Contains the custom NPCs that you spawn with cheats. zzzMal0_SCP1471ReplaceAlora.pk3 - Optional. Replaces Alora with Mal0. zzzMal0_SCP1471ReplaceChewie.pk3 - Optional. Replaces Chewie with Mal0. zzzMal0_SCP1471ReplaceKyle.pk3 - Optional. Replaces Kyle with Mal0. zzzMal0_SCP1471ReplaceRosh.pk3 - Optional. Replaces Rosh with Mal0. zzzMal0_SCP1471ReplaceTavion.pk3 - Optional. Replaces Tavion with Mal0. zzzMal0_SCP1471WhiteBlood.pk3 - Optional. Makes Mal0's weapon cover people in white liquid. zzzMal0_SCP1471WhiteBloodNoFlash.pk3 - Optional. Same as above, but without the flashing images. zzzMal0_SCP1471WweaponIsSaber.pk3 - Optional. Replaces Mal0's weapon with a lightsaber. Doesn't overwrite the weapon in Multiplayer, but makes this saber selectable in Multiplayer. Sounds were from SCP - Containment Breach and re-edited to make new sounds for the character. You can edit the NPCs and other files in the pk3 files to your liking by opening the pk3 with PakScape or 7-zip, then edit the text files in "ext_data/npcs/" folder with Notepad. You can look in assets1.pk3 in the game's base folder to see what NPCs can be replaced and how you can make your own for reference. -CREDITS- Mal0/SCP-1471 © SCP Foundation Model created by CumminHam SFM port provided by RED00EYE1 Sounds from the game "SCP - Containment Breach" by Joonas Rikkonen Other sounds by LucasArts and Raven Software Xelocix for fixing the graphical error in shaders -HOW TO INSTALL- Extract the zip file, then put the pk3 file(s) that you need into your base folder: "Star Wars Jedi Knight - Jedi Academy/Gamedata/base" Make sure you also run this in OpenJK to prevent crashes. Guest Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 Nice work. I went ahead and converted this mod so it's compatible with Movie Battles 2, for anybody who plays it and wishes to use these models with it. Mal0's Blue, Red, and Default models are playable for the Sith only. If you'd like for her to be playable for other MBII classes follow this guide. -INSTALLATION- DL the attached .pk3 file (zz-mal0.pk3) Drop the file into your steamapps > common > Jedi Academy > GameData > MBII folder Run the game and select the Sith class. When choosing a model hit the "custom" button in order to select Mal0 Enjoy As I side-note I also went ahead and replaced Mal0's audio files with sound effects taken from CumminHam's videos. If you'd like to use the original SCP sound effects simply replace the "sound" folder in this .pk3 with the one from the original DL. (Edit: There was a graphical error in the shaders that I've since fixed.) zz-mal0.pk3

Making the icons is usually the most tedious part for me haha. And how did you manage to fix the flickering of some of the textures in the shaders? I'll test the mod sometime and see how it looks. You should probably make this an entry too in the Misc Adult Mods section... It'll get more attention there.

Currently the 1471 sabers have a line "NotInMP" set to 1, making the weapons only useable in Singleplayer. I planned to make a separate Multiplayer version of the weapon in an update, which I'll post later. In case there are other sabers in other mods that you want to use in Multiplayer that aren't available in the MP saber menu or aren't obtainable through the console, you could try opening the pk3 files with pakscape or 7-zip and edit the files. What you need to edit is a text file in "ext_data/sabers". In the text file, just look for "NotInMP" in the saber you want and set it to 0. It should now be selectable in Multiplayer's saber menu. If it still doesn't show up, you might need to set a name for it. You can read more about editing saber files here if you're interested: https://jkhub.org/wiki/index.php?title=.sab On 1/5/2021 at 10:42 AM, waffl1ngpancake said: Anyway someone can make Mal0 for the character creator instead of a console command? The most basic way to do this is by taking a model_.skin file and dividing it into three parts: a head_.skin, torso_.skin, and lower_.skin. A .skin file is basically a text file that lists the meshes and textures used for each mesh of a model. You can do things like make each part use different textures, or toggle visibility of individual parts, or both. Each .skin part however needs its own icon so that they're selectable in the Create-A-Character menu. There should also be a playerchoice.txt file in the model's folder, which is a list of preset RGB color choices for the colorable textures of a model. Doesn't need to be fancy.. you could copy any playerchoice.txt from the base customizable characters in assets1.pk3, in "models/players/jedi_" into the folder of the character you want to have customization. Lastly, there needs to be a sounds.cfg, which sets the voicepack and gender (gender determines cutscene dialogue and what NPC's say) for the character when you start the game. Most characters already have this, but if it's missing, you can copy one from any folder in "models/players/" tl;dr: So basically, these things are necessary to enable the character to be selectable in the Create-A-Character menu: A head_.skin, torso_.skin, lower_.skin, playerchoice.txt, sounds.cfg, and icons for the .skin files One more thing, you need to set a torso_g1.skin and lower_e1.skin. Those skin files are used by your character in the Hoth levels. Giving those icons is optional. You can read more about it here in "4.3 Making a Custom Species": https://jkhub.org/forums/topic/10015-a-complete-guide-to-making-a-custom-skin/
