The Official "Why are You Here?" Thread

As I stated on my very first post: I'm a noob. I don't know ANYTHING about modding or creating content or getting fucking Hook5 to even work on my newly installed VX I got almost a week ago. Hell, I'm even struggling finding hairstyles I want and clothes that don't repeat themselves! (And I'm going to throw it out there: Male models really get no love in TK17. Stuff for them is also very much needed!)

 

I'm here because I want to create stories. I'm here because I love to use sex as a plot element for stories and honestly, I love sex in every way a straight and kind of frustrated male can love it. I love to fantasize. I love sultry outfits and diverse, gorgeous women of all races, nationalities and corners of the world. And that's why I went back to playing TheKlub17.

 

As I stated, I don't know how to create addons or textures. I don't know how the hell to setup Hook5 without fear of my game not working anymore due to its limitations (and also because I'm running a 32-bit game on a 64-bit OS). Hell, I can't even get some of the recently added stock rooms of the game to fucking work!

 

...But I want to.

 

I've been learning to edit poses from other creators and even started creating my own, albeit very slowly and very badly. I want to create Anime-style hairs and clothes and present them to you all if you're into that. I want to create content I can use freely in my stories without having to rip off the work of others for the sake of my storytelling (which, granted, by using TK17 as the heart of it all is unavoidable in the end...). And I also want to improve the visual quality of my photos by learning how to use H5 and take advantage of it, hopefully branching out to other kinds of editing and such.

 

So... if anyone's interested, here's my creation. I'm currently working on Issue 3 as I type this. Don't know how long that will be.

 

Thank you all so much for your hard work. If I could donate to the creators, trust me that I would because all of you were pivotal in making this happen. If I succeed in gaining any sort of attention with it, I promise I will pay you all back for this.

I am actually here because MG went down, and It has been part of my entertainment, and social circle  for a good chunk of my life.  I am very dissapointed by the In-fighting in our community. Unfortunatley the ship sunk, and we are all clinging to the wreckage, but we are not doomed; we all need to swim In the same direction, here we are just refugee's. and from what I can see there Is a lot of suspect content on the forums that we don't want to be associated with VX Is the future and needs Its own home. I am dismayed to a lot of negative comments about KlubExile, and In desperation I joined to see for myself If It was a sutable alternate venue for our members, although dubious at first, I am satisfied It Is the right place to re-build our community, and that starts with a handshake and alittle bit of trust, Its In everyone's best Interst to resolve these Issues.

Something happened earlier for a short time ~4 minutes, but it is back up again.  Gonna have to check to see if it was on our side or hosting.

 

You can always check stats.klubexile.com to see if the site is down.

Hey guys! AbstracD from Modsgarden here. It really sucks what happened, but eh, what can you do.

I'm really unsure if I should start re-uploading all of my models and other stuff here or I should simply wait until a more permanent solution comes up.

I really don't want to needlessly waste space only to then leave a couple months from now because a new site came up to substitute the Garden, I mean my models used to be reasonably well liked (some more than others :D), so one could say it's no technically a complete "waste", but still...

 

Anyway I wanted to drop by and say hello to everyone, I had joined this site a while back but all I did was lurk in a couple visits and then just kinda forgot about it until the other day lol.

Needles to say I was pretty happy to find a TK17 hub here, at least we won't completely lose all the great stuff we had before

There is currently a site called 'Klub Exile' which is where a lot of modders go. It is not ModsGarden 2.0 - i.e: just a storage space for content, but I guess more of a 'By Modders For Modders' kind of site. As a content creator myself, I would recommend it.

Yes, I'm aware of Klub Exile, thank you, but I know there's a lot of controversy on that site and I've read some bad reviews too.

Personally I don't think there's anything wrong with asking to be paid for your work, as long as it remains within reason and it doesn't become a money-grab situation like it happens in all too many cases, but I absolutely cannot stand the idea of finding myself in a toxic community where people are at odds and give the middle finger to each other.

I have made a point to check out the rumors and see for myself if the bad rap has merit or is simply BS spouted by scorned people and tried to join up, but I cannot even seem to receive confirmation mail from the site, so I think I'll just give up and wait for ModsGarden 2.0 to pop up

That said for some folks confirmation emails don't go through due to multiple reasons.  If you PM me the user name you signed up with, I can approve you without validation.

Please guys let's not do this it was just a simple misunderstanding, it was probably my fault that I did not realize that the way I had phrased it may sound kinda crappy, I apologize but the thought of giving an attitude never even remotely crossed my mind

 

That was clumsy and I won't even try to use the excuse of English not being my first language because that would be pathetic LOL. I obviously know English well enough that I should have been able to realize

I apologize if I jumped the gun; it sounded worse than if obviously was. Yes , not having English as yours first language is totally a reason - alas! I on the other hand would have to entirely rely on Google Translate, so kudos for having English as soon second language! I know only a bit of French... 

 

I feel sure that you would be a valuable contributor, but it doesn't matter where you contribute, only that you do.

1. I had to dig deep on the internet to get here.

2. Hahahah it's been so long that I have fun with this porn animation engine (I wouldn't call this a game).

3. The facility to simply manipulate characters from templates, fit the characters in a scenario and create animations in motion twin in a very intuitive way and of course the editor.

4. Yes, I have hundreds of templates for exclusive poses (including 4 characters) and a handful of animations, a dozen sets including a much simpler and more intuitive editor and tutorials on how to animate with tips from professionals in the field and how to create sets and importing with relative ease but I don't feel safe at the moment to share until there is a definition about the future of MG and I'm afraid that rascals will assume the authorship of my materials and use it in patreon to profit from my work.

5. Well, reasonable answer I want more models of clothes and bodies and heads (something anime style please), I speak about new 3D models, not textures. Answer "distant dream" I want you to create export format for animations and visual novels in exe and apk formats, an even more robust editor with visual effects and object library and an editor of scenarios in neverwinter nights style.

6. No, I thank the developer for hook 4, I use it and it makes a big difference in the horrible original graphics of the engine. The free version 5 is very buggy and I don't like the idea of paying for a poorly done and poorly documented service, when they have about a hundred models of articulated hair maybe I think about it.
