But i'm thinking maybe the most recent update has caused this one? I don't think I have anything that could be conflicting

Any ideas where the source could be? I'm thinking the new update as well.

I have some default skin overrides I created a few years ago and they stopped working this update. I did a quick search in the "S4S Game File Cruiser" and all the instances they override had changed to a new file format, "LRLE Image" from "RLE 2 Image" that was previously used. So I changed the "type" in the data column for each skin image to the new type. I changed the original type number "3453CF95" to the new format number "2BC04EDF" for each file and the skins started working again. Probably easier if you're not familiar with S4S to just let the authors adjust or find the fix, but if it's not being updated anymore or you're impatient it's worth a try. It solved the problem with my personal skin override files. ... for something that may work.

I have S4S but never really played around with it too much. I see the RLE 2 and LRLE categories, but how do you filter to the skintones? Do you mind providing a little bit of a walkthrough? I clicked the link you shared, I know "what to do", I guess now I'm looking for a "how to do".

dajryby Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 EA being EA they release useless patches so they can annoy the modding community, they default skings are low quality crap, moders are doing soo much better work, they have no idea that mods are the only reason that keeps this game alive, I mean come Sims 4 without CC is boring and ..... they not worth it, but the point is solution to use sims 4 studio is helpful Edit: I have uploaded some fixes for some CC skin tones in Sims 4 download section again those are just fixes thank original authors
