Thisisne88 Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Hi everyone, I've been googling and trying to fix this issue for hours now and I can't seem to figure it out so I thought I would post here. My sim is a detective and I can go to work just fine when I join her, but when I click send alone, she won't go to work no matter what I do. I've tried moving her to a different lot, I've tried changing her work outfit, I've tried resetting her, but no matter what I do when I click the "go to work" button nothing happens. Again, when I join her I can go to work fine, but when I want to send her off to work so I can play another sim in the family nothing happens. I've updated MCC, wicked whims, and basemental drugs, but nothing seems to help. I've also tried editing my sim in CAS, changing her age, etc etc still nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you checked the front door isn't locked? Have you tried changing outfit via the dresser? does your sim have more than 1 work outfit? delete any extra...and finally have you tried a game repair via origin?
Scorpio Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 If nothing else tried above works make sure you don't have any custom careers mods as that's what usually caused this before. Next step is to move your entire mods folder to desktop temporarily. Don't forget to delete your localthumbcache.package in your TS4 folder whenever you add, remove, or update, mods or game. Old game cached data mixing with new data can cause problems. Start game without any mods and re-test but don't make any new saves just exit when finished. If it's still broken you might have a corrupt sim or a bad game save. Seem to recall MCCC having some work/career settings too but maybe I'm just dreaming it, lol. In any case you should delete the .cfg files in your MCCC folder to reset them back to the defaults anyway.
