Oshie Posted September 12, 2020 Posted September 12, 2020 Hey guys. I'm very new to modding and I really need your help. I have downloaded Sexlab using Vortex and all seemed to go well. That is until I ran Skyrim. Whenever my character instigates some fun with another character, they both disrobe, the dialogue is what you would expect and then, while standing, merge into each other. So now you have two characters occupying the same space, swaying standing up only separating slightly so you can see that it is two people. All the subsequent moaning is what you would expect, so I don't think that's broken. Could someone please give me advice on how to fix this? Has this happened to others? Also I can't seem to get SkyrimUi or race menu stable either. Before running Skyrim, I have to enter Mods and turn them on manually every time. Then it's hit or miss if they work properly. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Grey Cloud Posted September 12, 2020 Posted September 12, 2020 Sounds like you need to do some research on how to mod Skyrim. Read this https://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:2.10.0 and/or watch videos by GamerPoets or Gopher. Get a stable vanilla game before loading it with mods then add the mods a few at a time, testing as you go.

Make certain that you have the current XPMSE skeleton for your game (LE or SE) and make certain, if you do, that nothing is writing over it in Vortex.
Just Don't Posted September 12, 2020 Posted September 12, 2020 Actually that sounds a lot like broken behavior files, so OP didn't install FNIS, didn't ran GenerateFNISforUsers or ran it while having incompatible mods installed. In these cases copying the text you get in FNIS after using it gives enough information to solve the issue at hand. But the problems with Racemenu/SkyUI tell me you might need to do as Grey Cloud says and go for the most basic setup first. Racemenu and SkyUI are simple to install. You just download the files and install them, just make sure you have all the requirements. There is nothing to setup or configure to have a "stable" Racemenu or SkyUI. These are mods that are added into your game and will work because you did 2 things right, or won't work at all because you're missing a requirement or installed the wrong version (like mixing LE mods in SE or the other way around, or trying to use a really old version).
Oshie Posted September 13, 2020 Author Posted September 13, 2020 Hey guys. Thanks for all the advice. I shall remove everything, including Skyrim, and start again a bit slower this time. Happy modding.
