Will we be able to replace our R2 stuff with the R3 and keep on playing with our same characters?

The changes sound really exciting! :D

Hey so I have been having this problem for a while now but haven't gotten around to posting. On my character the Dspsob mod will not work for some reason. When ever I load a game I have to keep re adding the spell to my character for the mod. The mod itself should work considering this uses the xp32 skeleton. Is this happening for anyone else? Also it seems as if the 1h swords on back option does not work at all. Will this be fixed R3?

the downloads not working for me. I open it up and its empty. anyone have an alternate download?

Children of the Sky -R2 - mirror.7z

Children of the Sky -R2 NMM Version.rar

thank you so much. but im not sure which files are the main mod files and which are like secondary ones... If that makes sense. I tried to install the files described in the (how to install) thing, but when I launch skyrim half way through the bethesda screen it just CTD. Then i tried to deactivate the esp and esm files, it loaded up ok but my characters body was normal but the head was of a kid and it was purple. so if anyone can help me out it would be great

And srry for such a long post. lol

CTD during load is usually a missing master. e.g. mod written for Dawnguard but you don't have Dawnguard. Not sure how that download is setup, hopefully tsuki no mori can speak towards the requirements.

Purple anything is a missing (or failed to load in rare events) texture. If you created the character as Sky Children and then deactivated the ESM/ESPs it's going to cause some weird stuff I imagine. It's also fairly common to just not get the textures in the right places if you're not familiar with the process. I believe the NMM version would make that part easier.

Silly question, is there a way to change the race without changing the body? Finally I managed to make a cute orc child and the only thing I need is that he is identified as an orc.

Don't use both files! If you don't know what NMM is, only use the first one. These are both the same base but the second file is set up to be compatible with the Nexus Mod Manager (thus, NMM) and it only works with the Mod Manager.  Again, if you aren't using the Nexus Mod Manager, only use the first of the two files.

In both cases, these are the base Children of the Sky files. They do not include armors or followers.

My only beef with the mod is that it lacks hair colors of high variety, sure you can supplement this by using race menu. I liked ECE+CME save for the fact that it doesn't have the more advanced slider options for CoTS but that's something I can live without... save for the color slider option which ECE+CME has but you can't use it with CoTS. So I hope later down the road that jiitek adds a much higher variety of color sliders for hairs.

First I wanna say I love this mod.  Second,  will you be releasing a completely standalone version.  I had to remove the mod because it messed with the default races.

See this post. R3 is coming, and has removed (almost?) all of the dependencies.

Not sure if that's what you meant. The only thing I ever noticed with it messing with the default races was the eye bug when making a character not CoTS and you can "fix" that by not loading the ESP when not playing as CoTS. Were you hitting something else?

Does anyone know where all the music is from found in the option Music of the Sky? I heard from the demo that one was from Lineage II and another from Howl's Moving Castle however I'd like to know all of them :)

No one? xD also found a song from Zanzarah - tiralin tavern song (Farewell - World Music Atelier)

Question. I guess it is normal that the homeless clothes are replaced with a robe, but can I get back the homeless clothes for males?

Hi everybody,

This is my first post here and first of all I want to thank jiitek for the great work on this mod.

Second, please say hello to my little friend:

And the actual reason why I'm posting:

I experienced this mysterious bug when walking sideways. When I press 'D' to walk right, the hand of my character is kinda misplaced. Here's a screenshot of the problem:

Does anybody know a solution for this?

Thanks!

Well I know the compatibility skeleton is included in this mod but are you sure you didn't overwrite it with another mod? Also when you run FNIS user Generator did you remember to check  Skeleton Arm Fix?

Sorry I though I was replying to a new post not an old one. I forgot that the order on this site is the reverse of nexus.

Thank you for the reply.  What I meant is some of the vanilla females have scrunched up faces.

I'm still wondering this.  I have a character that's getting moderately far into the game (mostly with level ups from smithing 900 outfits, lol), but I don't know if I should continue with her or wait till this new version is out and start anew.

Can we have a first-person body added to the R3 release?

Currently, we only have arms in first person view.  Being able to look down and see your feet adds to the "realism" of that view.

[EDIT]

Wait... is there even a first person body in the Vanilla version!?!?

I just disabled all of my mods and tried it and there are still no feet.  I swear there used to be feet before I started modding things!

Was I imagining this?

Never been any feet/legs/torso. You have always been a couple of floating arms in the elders scrolls games.

However, there is a beta mod for adding real first person view. Saw someone posting a modded skeleton in this thread a while back for that mod. If i remember correctly it had a bug so if you didnt wear shoes your feet would disappear.

are you talking about that ?

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6002

Yes, was talking about joy of perspective. Think the second link is an armor converter for this mod making it possible to use custom armors, but didn't read or paid attention to it, so may be wrong.

If you're looking for the skeleton replacement, look in the old thread. If i remember correctly its just a couple of pages of searching that needs to be done. Its not too far in.

Is the option First person camera-height fix supposed to lower the camera? because it didnt for me :(

Yes it's suppose to. Question now are you using Race Menu mod alongside CoTS?

Yes I am using that mod...

next question then, did you use race menu's height adjuster? reason why I ask is because when the racemenuplugin.esp is enabled in the load order of your mods .esp list it causes a conflict that shrinks your character down twice so your loli/child character is very small. Disabling the racemenuplugin removes this conflict.

I know from experience because when I had my character shrink during one playthrough which I eventually deleted due to other things I used race menu's height/size slider. The issue was that it made my 1st person view very tall like I was 8 feet tall or something, going through the doors my head was practically clipping door frames near the ceiling in first person view. And I was using the first person replacer for CoTS, nothing happened though, it was as if the first person replacer wasn't even installed.

So what you can do basically is turn off the racemenuplugin, load your save and then go back into the race menu selection via showracemenu command. You'll probably have to redo all your character looks since you'll have to reset the preset your using, basically choosing another preset and then moving back to the one you had. Granted it's a pain but as long as things work out and are working correctly I believe it's worth the time of redoing your character looks ;)

I hope this is the issue you've run into and it isn't something else causing it.
