YII-TECHNIQUES-LABORS *Children of the Sky* -R2- UPD-09.02.

My child character is my secondary. My original character is a Nord. That being said, after a while I decided to play as my non-child (original) character again, but for some reason, even if I disable the esp, my original character is using the face texture file from one of the child races. I know this because if I delete the oriental and xvisionc folders under textures/actors/charater, my Nord's face is purple (missing texture). Even after reinstalling all my original, adult character skins, the game still tries to pull them from the child folders. Can anybody help me here? I would really like to use my Nord again. I've cleaned my save as well (even though it was made prior to installing COTS).

Need some help. My adopted daughter's feet keep disappearing and I have no idea how to fix it. also, is there a way to force what clothes she wears?

I think there are some mods out there that allow you to dress any NPC any way you want, but a cursory Google search didn't turn up any (it's hard to find good search keywords for mods, as authors can name them anything they want).

However, you can always open up the Creation Kit and create a very small mod that changes the child's default outfit. Just load up the master file she's associated with (if she's from Hearthfire you'll need to edit the SkyrimEditor.ini file found in C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Skyrim. You will need to add "bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1" under the [General] section, and also add "HearthFires.bsa" to the list of "SResourceArchiveList2"). Anyways, look in the object window for the outfits list, right click and select "new", and add all the cloths you want her to wear to the new outfit. Next, find her under actors, double click on her to edit, go to the inventory tab, and select the new outfit you made from the outfits list.

I apologize if you know how to do all this; I'm not trying to patronize anyone, I just put that information up in case you didn't know! Hope this helps!   :P

Guess its worth a shot. Thanks. (and no, did not know how to do that)

Ok, two hours of fiddling and I have no idea what I'm doing.

What an amazing mod.  I am absolutely in love with it!  I LOOK SO CUTE!  :D

Could someone tell me the console commands for some of the items that other SkyChildren are wearing?  I havent seen them all, but I wouldn't mind trying the clothes that the girl in Riverwood is wearing.

Also, is it possible (I'm not a Skyrim modding whiz) to make things like the Bandoliers mod fit better?  Same with the bag of xbow bolts (and probably arrows, I haven't tried it yet), where they float in the air off your body.  Obviously this is because the body is so much smaller, but is fixing something like that easy to do?

Thanks again, amazing work!

Looking forward to R3.  Ha... if it's crawling, that would be awesome.

There is a crawling mod, but I have not used it yet. Have about 50 mods in queue, and I am on holiday, so not with my game PC. I imagine the typical crawl mod I downloaded may not be compatible with the skeleton I am using lol, but if it is only a height issue, I can fix it with DF heel mod options.

There is a crawling mod, but I have not used it yet.

Really...  I didn't know that such a mod was around.  I'll check it out if I can find it.

Can anyone tell me how to find out some of the outfits various CotS are wearing?  I'd like to wear them myself, or at least try them, but I haven't had any luck figuring it out.

Also, I tried adding some of the Jewelery from here, but it doesn't show up on my avi. I suppose that would be something to ask the creator of that mod?

Sorry if my questions are really n00bish.

This thread has a butt-load of armors and clothes for you to wear, assuming you're playing a little girl. For boys, it's closer to an elbow-load, or maybe a thigh-load at the most.

That jewelry's not made for this mod's body, so I suspect that's why it's not showing up.

Yup, I've been though that one, I'm still wading through them all. I have a couple that I liked, but the ones that I keep seeing the girls in the villages wearing are really great.  Like, I don't like big colorful daedric armors with spikes and such, or some of the more far out looking outfits.  Even just the plain leather shorts that the girl in Riverwood wears is appealing.

Is there a way I can make it show up thats not terribly complicated?  Maybe I'll ask lostdaywalker if he/she could make it work.

Maybe it is badly written in [info] - for the outfits:

open console and type "help sky"

move up with page up until you see armor tagged sky children cloth, boots, top, pants

then type "player.additem xxx #" where xxx stands for the id you searched above and # stands for number of items

this works for every item e.t.c.

For the jewelery - it has to be enabled for this race or at least enabled default race should work.

Yes!  That worked perfectly!  Thank you so much!

Hmm good news figured out my screwed up eyes problem... children of the sky is causing it *shrug* guess there's a notice in the OP about that  well anyways at least I know it isn't any other mod that's causing the issue. I'll just have to turn off the CoTS esm files when I wanna make a normal race character.
