kyods Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 bump. want killable sky children. I advise against it, it could seriously mess up some of your quests. However if you really want to do this, Open xvisionchildren.esp in CK, select each of the non-quest related child NPCs and untick the 'essential' flag. I suggest leaving the NPCs participating in the quests as essential. Alternatively, if you want them to be killable only by the player, not other NPCs, tick the 'Protected' box. Save the plugin and you are all set.

Save the plugin and you are all set. Whoa, calm down. What's your problem? I'm just bumping to make this thread alive, also I'm only bumping it once in every pages. I don't see it breaking any rules or anything, if you don't like it you can always just ignore and skip it. Besides, this way others can see it too if they happen to wanting to help fixing the problems. I don't tell you what to do, then you shouldn't tell me what to do either. Don't start a drama on this beautiful thread, don't like anything just ignore and skip it to make things easier. You are not breaking any rules, but you are being annoying. Just imagine somebody who has to catch up on ~30 pages of this thread, and some of them are filled with your unnecessary bumps. You are taking the most bothersome way to accomplish what you are after. And the thread is very much alive without your bumping anyway. EDIT: By the way, what you are asking for can be done in about 10 minutes in CK. Instead of bumping, perhaps it might be a good idea to start learning? I could do it myself - and as I said, it wouldn't take me more than 10 minutes, however I don't have CotS and its xvisionchildren installed at this moment. Seriously, I'm being annoying? Your kind of people who is always multiple posting is not annoying? LOL. I believe you're the one being annoying, multiple posting to take up the whole space. You guys have been multiple posting this whole time, did you see me complained about it before? There's an edit button for a reason, besides like I said before you can just ignore and skip it if you don't like it. I don't want a drama to start in this beautiful thread, so here on out I'm just going to ignore pointless off-topic posts. If you think it's so easy, why don't you do it for us? Excuses, excuses, excuses. "however I don't have CotS and its xvisionchildren installed at this moment", I can say I don't have any of them installed (but seriously, I don't have any of them installed ATM because I love using Non-Essential Children with Inventory Tweaks). Also, I'm pretty sure it's not easy as ABC. Because previously I used Killable Children it has side effect, where the chilldren is using adult objects and they will become oversized children. That's why the Non-Essential Children with Inventory Tweaks exist, which currently I'm using it. So, I think it's more than just turning off the essential of the children.

Then what's your excuse for not learning how to use CK? And friend, with your attitude, don't expect me to even crack my fingers for you. As for the killable children issue, you are *pretty sure* or you *know*? If you *know*, then kindly share your knowledge with the community and enlighten us on what needs to be done. If you are *pretty sure*, then educate yourself until you are *completely sure* and come with a solid proof. Otherwise you are trolling.

I've been playing without discovering the Killable Children back then and I didn't have oversized children problems at all, until I used it. So, I tried to search a different one and finally found the Non-Essential Children with Inventory Tweaks. Which it let's you to have both Killable Children and also a fix on the oversized children bug, I've seen somewhere that they state they have oversized children bug too while using Killable Children (I'll try to find it again if I can). Also, seriously? Using "trolling" to accuse me as an excuse for this whole discussions? I've been on-topic this whole time and you guys are the one going off-topic, very mature of you. And my friend, with your attitude, don't expect me to have conversations with you ever again. Edit: Here's your proof, this shows I'm not trolling at all = http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/895064-hearthfire-oversized-children/

Actually, I just took a peek inside my own xvisionchildren.esp and it seems that children are already set to non-essential there, which might also be the case with Jiitek's xvisionchildren. If this is the case, you need to open each child race (BretonRaceChild, ImperialRaceChild etc.) in the Character/Race tree and uncheck the 'Child' flag for each of them in the general data. Keep in mind that this will render *all* the children killable, and you might want to manually set the quest-related child NPCs as essential/protected to prevent these quests bugging out on you.

EDIT: I'll release my modified xvisionchildren.esp when I have time to do it properly. What you see on the screenshots was just a quick, 10 minute work to prove my point. ETA: probably some time tomorrow.
uguu123 Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 murder anyway there no point to bumping, jiitek is probably very busy person IRL, he gone after R1 for long time and back after monthes
Skyrim Superior Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 anyway there no point to bumping, jiitek is probably very busy person IRL, he gone after R1 for long time and back after monthes R1? I'm not from your country, so I'm not sure what is that. Somekind of a test he has to take or something... else? Anyway, thanks for telling me of his disappearance. At least now I know.
Guest SexualAardvark Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 YII-TECHNIQUES-LABORS *Children of the Sky* -R2- UPD-09.02. Release 1, Release 2.
Skyrim Superior Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 YII-TECHNIQUES-LABORS *Children of the Sky* -R2- UPD-09.02. Release 1, Release 2. I see, so that means his disappearance time between R1 and R2 would be months before he shows his face back again. So basically, we would have to wait for months again for him to show his face back again for R3? Am I correct?
uguu123 Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 probably, nobody here lives with him or know personally, so what answer you waiting? maybe he just bored and dont have interest to continue work.
JusticeZ Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Now I am thinking to myself why I actually downloaded this and wasted my times, Cause everything always is, Girls girls girls girls girls girls girls. I am not a lesbian, I mean not that there is something wrong with lesbians, But, My gosh.I also want the boys to look better and not just the girls.. Not that I want them following me around though,Having variety makes the immersion look better, Imagine all boys looked the same in real life and girls were the only ones who were unique, That would be funny haha. This mod looks really cool, Although I wish it worked with NMM so I could have a simple way of installing it. Please make more options for the males, Followers and what not. After all, So many males in Skyrim are just downright hideous! Can atleast live with " Oh this boy will be handsome when he is all grown up and I am grey and wrinkly! " PS ~ The Skyrim boys have better hairstyles than my boyfriend, And yes, I hope he reads this!
Endy Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Since my post got lost in all the spam, here goes again: Is it possible to get TBBP work with CotS ? Seeing that Monli V4 has support for TBBP and both are using the x117 skeleton (?) ? Has someone tried this ?

So yes, it is possible.
Seiji-Chan Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Does this mod simply work in adding a new race, or does it do a lot more than that? I'm trying to make a young male character, and this looks like it will work perfectly, but I'm not sure if it's gonna conflict with other mods I have. I read the OP, but I'm still not positive what's gonna happen.

I'm trying to make a young male character, and this looks like it will work perfectly, but I'm not sure if it's gonna conflict with other mods I have. I read the OP, but I'm still not positive what's gonna happen. It adds Children of the Sky race, also changes Skyrim's children appearance into Children of the Sky. You can also download Children of the Sky follower, it's an optional. It'll only conflict with child related mods, literally ANY child related mods.

I don't THINK I have any child mods at all, so wish me luck!
LfaQ Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 This mod looks really cool, Although I wish it worked with NMM so I could have a simple way of installing it. This does work with NMM - you just have to break the files up into individual zips. There's already an NMM version of this mod uploaded. You can find it somewhere in the last few pages or so. That really saved me lots of time.
Seiji-Chan Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Well, it wanted to overwrite lots of stuff when I installed it via NMM (CBBE Vanilla Clothing and Enhanced Character Edit stuff, for the most part). What does the mod do to your chargen stuff? Shouldn't it just add a new race and that's it? Said no to all the overwrites and it still seems to be working, but when I open up a new game or load a game it gives me two script errors: PlayerVampireQuestScript.pex and CompanionsHousekeepingScript.pex Do these have anything to do with Dawnguard? Because I don't have that, and I'm not getting any CTDs yet, so so far so good? Also, the other weird issue it's caused is this popup when I go to make a new character. When I scroll over Nords it says: CharacterMakingExtender *ERROR* Failed to change faceMorph. Please check "data/SKSE/Plugins/CharacterMakingExtender.log". And beyond that, the race menu is just buggy. All other human female races have no eye color options, and they have cloudy white pupils. However, female characters I've already made are fine. So yeah... not sure about this. Seems like it's really conflicting with the character edit mod I have and that many people seem to use. Anyone else have this problem? I'm at a loss on how to fix it.
kyods Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 CotS in fact overwrites some vanilla assets, some hair and head meshes being an example. The scripts are modified to provide compatibility with vampire/werewolf transformations for the new race, otherwise while transforming back you'd revert to the default Nord race. They shouldn't cause any trouble except from that nagging window right after the installation. The head meshes and morphs are not compatible with CME, that's why you are getting complaints from it, and trying to use extra morphs provided by CME will likely turn your character into a zombie. All in all, I would suggest installing CotS only if you intend to make a CotS character, it works perfectly fine then. Don't use CME, but if you want some basic extra customisation, ECE is fine if you stick to the versions below 1.0. And keep in mind that if you use RaceMenu it will glitch on you, changing the proportions of your character, so the best idea would be to disable it for CotS.
Wasabi Ice Cream Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 ...Keep in mind that if you use RaceMenu it will glitch on you, changing the proportions of your character, so the best idea would be to disable it for CotS. Only the additional RaceMenuPlugin causes this problem. Otherwise, just using the base, it's fine.
Seiji-Chan Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 I don't use RaceMenu. I use ECE but it looks like ECE integrated CME at some point. I can't even find CME available anywhere by itself. What exactly does CME do and is there a way I could uninstall it specifically?
kyods Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 CME was integrated with ECE around version 1.0. Uninstall it and get 0.85 from the archived versions of the mod.

kyods Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 CME adds several additional morphs to the character creator - read the description page of ECE for the complete list. These functionalities are available only with compatible morphs and races, otherwise horrible things may happen.
