Mordyn Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 try using just xvisionchildren.esp and its associated files. Thanks! I tried it, and I still get a change on my default face, and hair... see there: Before: everthing is OK, and I get the default hair 5, with preset 0. After: default hair 5 is changed! and the face too... Help! Children are really well done in this mod, and I would rather not modify default presets that change the npc randomly, and not just children
kyods Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Hi, love this mod, but I´m now a little boy and for some reason nearly all armors have neckseam glitches. Is it just me or is it fixed in an update? All the vanilla male armours that expose the chest and neck area will have the neck gap, simply because they use the adult male body as their base. Armours that cover the neck area (ebony etc.) should look pretty much okay. In every armour that has arms exposed, they will be adult and muscular, and looking totally odd with the CotS head.
Kaydence Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Hey everybody. I have a question about FNIS. I think it's needed for this mod, but running the generator confuses me. I get a list of a few things I can tick if I have them installed, but I have no idea which ones I have because they don't have mod names beside them. What patches do I need to tick for CotS, if any?

Just a thought. If that doesn't work, I'll see what I can do to help later. Hey everybody. I have a question about FNIS. I think it's needed for this mod, but running the generator confuses me. Dinosaurus Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Third person is still a bit too high for my liking, but I think that's just the way it is and this mod hasn't tried to address it yet. I saw a mod on the Nexus called Customizable Camera which makes Skyrim.ini edits from the MCM to adjust the 3rd person camera. Do you know if that mod would cause the same kind of problem as RaceMenu? i really like Enhanced 3rd Person Camera mod for adjusting 3rd person camera height for small (or even tall) custom races. It only changes the third person camera for a single character only. So if you're playing more than one character at a time, and have saves for more than one, a low-setting for your cots character won't mess up the 3rd person camera height for your vanilla breton or whatever. the Customizable Camera mod does something similar and is probably "simplier" (and less tedious) to set up since it has less options than Enhanced 3rd Person Camera does. E3rdPC lets you set separate camera offsets for melee weapons, range, mounted combat, regular walking around.. etc... while it appears Cumstomizable Camera forces the same offset for everything. Removing that file will make you use your regular textures again.

Oh, and if anyone was wondering, I tried out the Customizable Camera mod to try to fix my 3rd person view and it works fine with CotS.
Endy Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I've a question about this and the body type. From the mod desc I'd assume that this uses the UNP body ? Am I able to use the CBBE body and still use this mod without stuff breaking ? Or should I use the UNP ? Or does the UNP/CBBE bodies even affect this mod at all ? Thanks.

This mod uses it's own custom body mesh, so whether you use CBBE, UNP(B ), ADEC, etc etc won't matter. If you want them to wear different outfits and such, or you are using the playable race version, you'll want to use UNP compatible outfits on them. Or alternatively, use the armors that were made for the bodies in the other thread here. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/15220-armors-for-yii-techniques-labors-children-of-the-sky/
Endy Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I thought as much, but wasn't sure, so big thanks for the clarification

Man, this mod really needs a stand alone version... Never had any issues with custom hair. It might of just moved your hair around, which is an easy fix with ShowRaceMenu Alternative. Just use the Change Race spell and re-setup your hair again. Yeah it would be nice to have just a stand-alone version that is just for the children NPCs, without the playable race part. Something that doesn't modify any thing but the children. Sadly Jittek has been AWOL for awhile, and no idea when they'll be back. So we gotta deal with the bugs and glitches till then.
Kaydence Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Has anybody had save file bloating issues? I've only been playing for a few hours into a new game and my save file is already 7,987 KB. I always do a new save, and I'll post a list of my load order later today.
Skyrim Superior Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Hello. [iNCOMPATIBILITY] Incompatible with any mod that modifies the children. I know you said that, but does it really incompatible with ALL children related mods? Even with Non-Essential Children with Inventory Tweaks? Because I thought your mod only alter the children's appearances right? The N-ECwIT only alter the essentiality and inventory item of the childrens, it'll still considered to be incompatible with your mod? Well, I've tried your mod + N-ECwIT and seems like it changed the children back to being invincible (meaning that they can't be killed). If your mod really is incompatible with other children related mods, would you please be so kind as to include your own killable children as optional files? Thanks. Also, Aeta (Dragonborn DLC child NPC) has an adult female head and nude by default (Children of the Sky's default that is)? When can we expect a fix for her? Bump. Just to make sure jiitek see this. Bump. Just to make sure jiitek see this. Bump. Just to make sure jiitek see this.

Skyrim Superior Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 bump. want killable sky children. Well, we either have to wait for jiitek to come back or someone who is willing to do it.
Guest SexualAardvark Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 KIllable children is extremely easy and was among the first mods to come out for skyrim, before the CK was even released. Download the killable children mod, open it up in TesV snip to see what it does, look at those elements in Creation Kit, implement.
Bigbaddemon Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Excuse me, i'm knew here so my question may be very stupid but, is that mod the equivalent of X117 ? Because i see a lot of people talking about "x117" but i can't find it anywhere! (except one for oblivion) Could you help me please ?

ortog Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Excuse me, i'm knew here so my question may be very stupid but, is that mod the equivalent of X117 ? Because i see a lot of people talking about "x117" but i can't find it anywhere! (except one for oblivion) Could you help me please ? Simple. Children of the Sky or Sky Children race is actually OraezeRaceX117 . It is Reference ID in game. So no matter how people calling it. Actual look for children created by @Cot and calling Cot's presets. So some people calling this race Cot's. But it is still Sky Children Race.
Endy Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Is it possible to get TBBP work with CotS ? Seeing that Monli V4 has support for TBBP and both are using the x117 skeleton (?) ?

Just imagine somebody who has to catch up on ~30 pages of this thread, and some of them are filled with your unnecessary bumps. You are taking the most bothersome way to accomplish what you are after. And the thread is very much alive without your bumping anyway. EDIT: By the way, what you are asking for can be done in about 10 minutes in CK. Instead of bumping, perhaps it might be a good idea to start learning? I could do it myself - and as I said, it wouldn't take me more than 10 minutes, however I don't have CotS and its xvisionchildren installed at this moment.
