New To WW. Something's not working.

Alright, so I've followed the instructions for installation to the letter and got some animations and everything, but for some reason I don't get any of the sexy options no matter where, what or who I click. Wicked whims is working, at least partially. Nudity, period stuffs, customization and options menus are appearing. But no sexy options. I have no other game changing mods on my computer. It's just furniture and clothing. What am I doing wrong?

Have you tried clicking the bed or simply the floor and have you also tried it with other Sims (e.g. a female)?

WW animations are highly specific, as they are made for a particular combination of location (bed, floor, toilet,...), number of Sims involved (solo action, couple, threesome,...) and genders involved (solo male, one female plus one of neutral type "both", MMF threesome,...). If these criteria aren't met, the animation doesn't show up, and I think that if no animation would show up at all, the "Sex" interaction isn't shown in the first place. I could be wrong, though, as it's been a while since I set up WW initially.

Clicking on your active Sim (like in the bottom picture) will never bring up any sex interaction, by the way. You can ask others to have sex in conversations, but to manually start the action, you always need to click a location available for sex.

You did download some anims? mike24...wild guy etc? WW only comes with very basic anims.....

I've tried both male and female sims, the male is just the one I was on when I snapped the screen shots to show what is working. I've tried clicking the bed, floor, table, couch, shower, chair. No options for anything solo. Clicking other sims gives me the woohoo and try for baby options, but nothing other than those..

Yes, I've downloaded animations. From both of those creators as well. It's in one of the screenshots above. Wicked whims is obviously working though. I'm really confused here. I'm not sure what about my game isn't letting me do it.

Ok...did you delete localthumbcache.pkg file in the sims 4 folder ?....

Should I? I didn't see any instructions anywhere that said to do so.

Always delete "localthumbcache.package" after making changes to your Mods folder.

It's not mentioned in every mod's instructions and sometimes hidden in the troubleshooting section or somewhere else, but you should really do it every time you add, remove or update any mods. In quite some cases it doesn't really make a difference (I know, because I regularly forget it myself), but when making major changes like adding WW you should always remember to do so. That way, the game is forced to create a new "localthumbcache" file when it is started again - this time respecting the existence of WW in your Mods folder.

Man. I was really hoping deleting that file would be the magic fix. Unfortunately it didn't seem to change anything. Same things are working but no dirty options.

Since there is a child / toddler in two of the pictures (which I didn't notice until now): Have you tried disabling the setting to "respect children's eyes" or whatever it's called? It's basiically an option to decide whether Sims can be nude around kids, and nudity is required for having sex (sounds a little strange when you read it out loud, but I think you get the idea). IIRC, that switch is set to "enabled" by default, blocking all nudity (and sex) interactions in the presence of underage Sims - and "presence" is probably determined by distance (at least among other factors), so walls won't do much about it.

The children's eye switch is already unchecked. I've gone so far as to test it in a childless house just to see if something was being weird but still no options.

I tried the ww.fix thing. It said it did some fixes, no change though.

 

I tried installing this mod a couple weeks ago, had the same problems, deleted it and all the animations. Took forever but I triple checked to make sure. Now that I look at it, that wicked whims list of animations isn't accurate. I don't have all those animations anymore. I currently only have the wildguy ones, because I wanted to start small and test if it would work this time, before downloading a bunch again. So wicked whims is somehow reading that I have the others. I've got to have messed something up somewhere. I don't see why it would work for everyone else but not me. I apologize for all the trouble >.<

 

I know nothing about files and what belongs and what doesn't. Is everything where it's supposed to be? Is there stuff I should get rid of?

Delete your old last exception files...no need to keep them....also delete the localthumbcache.pkg file every time you make changes to the mod folder too.

If all else fails, try cleaning your game save, including the steps for "deep cleaning" aka removing the mod. It'll put you back to square one and your game will be like there has never been any WW in it - which is the ideal situation for a freshly downloaded, new installation of WW. Your game version file is dated 10/30/2019 so I suspect your game is not updated.

You can also open the WickedWhimsInfoLog and look for oddities or clues.

 

Check your saves folder and delete old WickedWhims folder.

 

This can cause some problems when updating WW after major changes/features are added IMO.

Same thing happens to Nisa's WP on occasion.

Thanks guys for all the help. I've removed everything I could find and did the deep clean of my saves. My game version doesn't seem to be up to par. Let's just say I didn't purchase my game so I don't have a way of updating it. Unless I can find a more current one, I won't be able to run WW.

 

So thanks for putting up with all my crap.
