YellowCorn1212 Posted August 10, 2020 Posted August 10, 2020 I downloaded Yennefer from ShinglesCat. I was able to get her mesh to follow my 3BBB format and bodyslider (I just took the character skeleton from XPMSE and the replaced her meshs with 3BBB amazing body), but her textures are still UNP and they don't change when I change her bodyslider so shadows are really off. How do I go about replacing her textures?
Scholarly Badger Posted August 10, 2020 Posted August 10, 2020 Pretty much the same as replacing the meshes. Go to the textures folder for her and replace them with the default ones you use. To be a bit more clear, I think that the esp is causing the meshes you've inserted to use the specific textures that are found in her folders, so you may also need to rename them to whatever her textures are named as well, although they're usually named the same between UNP and CBBE.

How do I go about replacing her textures? look in \textures\SC\0_Followers\000_Yennefer\Body\ and replace those textures

I can't find where my default textures are. Where would I locate these?

anjenthedog Posted August 10, 2020 Posted August 10, 2020 But if you want to use her native textures, there's another path, albeit a little trickier to traverse. 1) install BHUNP 2) build her new meshes using BHUNP and insert them in place of her existing meshes. If she has a skeleton in that folder, replace it with a copy of the XMPSSE skeleton the tricky part is because working in bodyslide to match the physical profile is more difficult since Bodyslide only displays using CBBE textures, and of course, shadows and details, so getting the breast geometry can be "trying". I've converted over a half dozen UNP-ish based followers in this way. Why? Because I really didn't want them using my skin. and like their original "looks", including their native complexion, just hated their stiff walking and lack of wubba-flesh two important considerations: 1) fwiw, I load CBBE-3BBB _after_ BHUNP, just to make sure it doesn't override my own body (CBBE-3BBB) 2) If you do install BHUNP along side CBBE-3BBB, you'l also want to visit its MCM and assign its CBPC/SMP swap hotkey to a different key that the one used by CBBE-3BBB's MCM, because by default they're identical

I opted to stick with 3BBB only because it's the one i'm most comfortable with and I see it all over the place. Considering my modding experience only goes as far as moving folders around, I feel that having both BHUNP and 3BBB and the conflicts are gonna give both me and my game a headache with all the potential conflicts. It ended up working out though, the skeleton and mesh were easy enough to replace, it was the textures I struggled most with. Spent a whole day trying to navigate that forest and it ended up almost being as simple. Now to add facial expressions... somehow...

But then I got tired of everyone having the same skin tone and skin texture. Each to his own.
