ta55 Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 SKSE keeps crashes on startup and doesn't even load the Bethesda logo. Already verified file integrity using steam and LOOT doesn't say anything is wrong with the load order.

gregathit Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Make sure all mods are installed correctly (including SKSE) and that all mods are the SE version and that you have all the requirements of all mods. If you are missing any requirements of mods you have installed, you will get what you are experiencing.

Just Don't Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 Which mod manager do you use? In SE a crash before getting to the main menu can be caused by an outdated dll. Mod managers like Vortex or MO will warn you about it.

Just Don't Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 MO2, okay. Disable all the mods in your left panel, try to launch the game as usual (SKSE through MO). You might want to solve the Overwrite thing first, Overwrite should be empty at all times, for this particular troubleshoot, anything in Overwrite will go in game despite you disabling/enabling things. If your game doesn't crash before reaching the main menu, go back to MO and enable half of your mods in the left panel. Make sure MO doesn't detect any missing master, in which case you'll either need to disable the mod giving the warning or enable the master required. Also, sort your loadorder and launch the game. Crash=something in the stuff you just enabled is likely the cause, disable half of the recently enabled mods, repeat until you can pinpoint the mod that causes the crash. No crash=keep enabling half of your currently disabled mods in the left panel, repeat until you crash. Then you can try the above, disabling half the mods until you don't crash. If your game did crash, the issue is somewhere in the game files, verify integrity through Steam or see if you have any mod files installed directly in your game folder (stuff like SKSE or ENB files are okay, but any mod files in \Data will be out of control of MO and could be an issue at any point). That's the most simple way to isolate the issue with trial and error. And it usually takes 10-30 minutes even in big modlists (because you're always aiming to a 50/50 by enabling or disabling half of your mods each time). Once you identify the mod in question (rarely it could be more than one mod), you can delve into that, you might need to update the mod, manually change its place in the loadorder (or in your left panel), or avoid that mod entirely because it doesn't go well with something else you have in your loadorder.
Scholarly Badger Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 Alright, I got through about half the list and Succubus Race Lite (and depending on your install options, also CBBE) requires HDT-SMP. Sexy Starting Options also requires Alternate Start. I also admittedly don't know much about Cumshot, but I seem to remember reading in the support thread that you should only have one version (could easily be wrong). There are also a number of things I can't check since they don't have a plugin like JContainers (needed for a lot of mods) or CBBE 3BBB requiring CBPC or LightMeUp requiring a specific papyrus extender. I would refer back to gregathit's advice and double check everything for all requirements, then get back to us.
CPL254 Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 If you're using the latest version of SKSE (build 2.0.18), which was released not too long ago, the game won't start. Go back to the previous version (build 2.0.17).

I downloaded it through Vortex so it's not in my queue, which means I have no way to get to it from here, not that I'm aware of at least. Nevermind I just realized Vortex saved the previous files and lets me switch back with the click of a button. That's one problem solved at least.
