Unfortunately the picture fails to disclose which animation was chosen and which object the choice was attempted on. I'd have to go with your initial assumption that for whatever reason there are animations missing -BUT- I'd also surmise from the screenshot that this is related to PASSION as looking at the Sim's moodlets, there is one I've never seen as a Kinky World user - center top. Once again while this is the forum for Sims 3 Technical help, the question might be better asked in the specific mod post relating to this problem. A knowledgeable Passion user might not check this sub-forum, causing the OP to miss out on valuable information.

Passion registers ALL known animations automatically. Except the newer ones from Lucas and Clydie and none made for Pets.... If so, the animations are not installed properly.

Yet the information provided is very generic and only skims the surface. The screenshots are somewhat useful, but we have no way of knowing builds, version, other mods, file structure, or if certain files are corrupt or out of date/patch level/etc. It's a bit like playing 'what am I looking at'? 100 answers later and we could still be wrong.... Try this out of curiosity: Resource.cfg This file has been know to cause issues even though the game ran fine before (probably EA online bullshit). Just move yours to another place and try this one. If it works, make a copy and keep it safe.....
