How does WW pick the top and bottom in sex animation.

is it random?

It seems to be partly random but partly decided by which Sim initiated a sex act and individual animations tags.

It would be nice if animation authors would tag their animations properly with GIVER/RECEIVER, because then the sex mods won't have to guess which slot is the Top and which is the Bottom

I manage to fix it.

1. You need to save your household to a library.

2. Delete your bottom. 

3. Save the game.

4. Add your saved household to the top that stayed after you deleted bottom.

5. Delete excess top, that was added with bottom.

6. Save again and its working. You need your top to be the first sim in a household. In the middle of the household picture if you have 3 sims, or he carry cat.

The order in which your active sims are placed in the HUD are by age, or the time created, meaning the first one created is the eldest.

For MM animations mostly, the eldest, (far left) sim is normally the top.

 

As long as both sims are the same relative age like young adults all you have to do is give the sim on the left a potion of youth and they should switch places after a save, exit, and reload.

You can also just cheat their age and make them adult and then switch them back to Y/A.

 

WW uses something like Actor 1 and Actor 2 but with same sex animations the actors can't be selected by gender because they are both the same so age is used instead IMO.

(But I think in the case of an Active played sim + a NPC/townie sim the Active sim would be Actor 1/top but never verified this myself)

It still is related because the first sim created is the eldest as long as all the sims created are young adults for example.

Yes i understand that, but your solution is more simpler than mine and i didn't know about it. I know now.
