Guest AthenaESIV Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 Look forward to progress on this game and the modding community around it, def will be playing it sometime this year. I would play it now but there is one thing I hope they change soon: The NPCs seem so lifeless... I really hope they add in some sort of expression system or some other improvements that make the world and the people in it seem more alive. Every video I've seen so far kind of seems creepy how the NPCs just give blank stares and nothing else.

That way I can burn this identity like a get away car if I catch on any specifically unpleasant person. The more you know. PM on loverslab works fine.

knockedddown Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 Wanted to start a game where get captured by looters at the start for a while, hoping to mother a clan of bastards who then go on to take over all of Calradia, but keep getting crashes when the baby is about to be born. First thought was incompatibility with other mods (Mixed Gender Troops. Grow up and Work, some others), but disabled them all and still got the crash around the time the birth should happen. Tried a couple things including on a new game just went and got captured and pregnant, then escaped and waited out in a town until time for birth and still get this on latest 1.2 version. Strange, you got pregnant in town? or with bandits? did you start a new game exit then reload a save during the pregnancy? I just tried it and it worked maybe I should play around with the parameters or something, until I can get your crash. Found another bug in regards to pregnancy not working correctly after reloading a pregnant save, but that is a minor bug, has to do with Taleworld's hero generator system and they got an exception catch there.

So last time I was loading a save that had made soon after start of game,, so tried again with brand new one with no saves. First thing did was lose to first looters I saw, get captured then pregnant, then escape and head to a village and wait it out. Got same crash soon after on day 7. Had set preg speed to ~5 days, chance to 100%, and attractiveness calculation to false. Had tried some other params as well and got same issue, so not sure what may be causing it.

After all my unsuccessful attempts, removing all other mods, using Steam file verification, even completely uninstalling and deleting all MB2 files from steamapps/common, documents, and ProgramData... I stumbled across a steam post of someone else having a similar problem of crashing when starting a new campaign. I had to go into the files and set Bannerlord.Native to run as administrator in compatibility settings. Just setting the launcher to run as admin wasn't working and strangely enough only this mod caused crashes without me setting admin? I can't explain why it worked but it did. Just thought I'd throw my results in here.

It could be a mod not managed through vortex or something still has a folder in modules and it's harmony file is still there which is attempting to replace the on child conceived model is wrecking with the game. There is a whole debate of using Harmony in the modding community for everything and how it is lazy coding, I had to use Harmony to only change an access property which is ok as it doesn't overwrite anything.

I am currently expiriencing the same issue, not 100% sure, havent tried it yet, but I am thinking if the new update haven't broken anything. <removed the save file as I realized you probably wouldn't be able to load it cause of how many mods I have> Edit: when creating new game it works fine therefore somewhat confirming my theory, it might indeed by updating to the newer version. Have you maybe changed something associated with the pregnancy system you have put in @BadListener? WifeOnSale Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 This mod is really new direction of the Captive system for the Bannerlord, but so far I sense there is a real issue with this idea of the mod regarding how would this mod rewarding the players in the developping about the player character in long term gamplay. Which I mean in details are like this, for a role-play based gaming exprience like in Bannerlord, the overall goal for the player is somehow make the player character developing from weak to strong and in Bannerlord is like from a little nobody to a great lord of the world. And the orginal captive system, IMO is more like a punishing system which is aim to punish players when they make mistake, you fail a fight and falling in ememies' hands, therefore you lost some time which may contribute to the snowballing which may lead to your other losts in the future. And from my understanding this mod is only works after the captive of the player character, so if someone want to try out this mod first he need to be captured, which for the gaming process mean the players need to be failed or making mistake first so that they can have the function of this mod. Do not misunderstand me, i like the idea of this mod, but to me is like I have to make mistakes or failed myself intentionally to play this mod. there is a issue which for some role-playing players like me is that make me feel i was pretend to be a captive capture by my enemies, which IMO is a break of the experience of my role-playing immersive. I dont know whether it is possible and i understand this mod is in early stage, but i feel this mod should give players(espeically role-playing players ) a feeling about “I am not pretend to do this” but not a feeling about “I need to pretend to do this”. Or another way make the result of being captive more rewarding, so far i feel the only rewarding for captive is only to read some adult text or maybe have a random child or gain and loss some renow, which i think for a hardcore role-playing player is not enough. Yes 1.3.0 broke the pregnancy model (cannot pass custom pregnancy through the saves, as the console wasn't triggering it on 1.3.0) Lower version means you were on 1.3.0 and downgraded to 1.2.0, or you went to use the old files?
