Jenassa fights me

Hello everyone. experiencing a problem with jenassa thats ruing gameplay right now. her relationship rank with me is 4 and we already scheduled a wedding but when i dismiss her she becomes aggressive with me. She doesn't actually attack me but she switches into an enemy, takes her combat stance, then goes back to normal and continues to turn into an enemy then goes back to friendly, she even turns into a red dot on my radar, obviously this counts as "missing my wedding" since she temporarily switches into an enemy, its like shes in and out. this is anytime i dismiss her so i was wondering if anyone knew what caused it or how to fix it by any chance. if anyone needs my papayrus logs or my loadorder just let me know

Do you have SL Defeat installed?
Have previously raped her?

 

The only time I saw anything like this was after first installing Defeat and assaulting Lydia, I'm not proud of it but the Jarl let me off as I was good at swimming.
All was fine until I dismissed then, then she went for me. I don't recall her flipping back to friendly and then back to hostile, over and over but I didn't have any follower overhaul mods like AFT etc so maybe that would cause that.

yeah i have defeat but i never raped her. i used the console command setav aggression 0 and it worked temporarily, so i was able to have the wedding. after she walked home i talked to her again and told her to follow me. i was going to ask if she would cook for me so i talked to her again and boom! she went aggressive then passive then aggressive then passive again....so i still need a fix, setav aggression 0 didnt work this time

update! jenassa no longer randomly fights me. now it only happens if guards approach me to turn myself in, she fights them but turns on me on and off like a switch. does anyone know why that is happening. really curious and i am actually in need of the help

Have you "googled" the issue?
If it were a vanilla bug, someone else must have had it.

As I recall, she became hostile always after dismissal, he seems to have a hard time breaking up ?

Uthgerd the Unbroken attacks outside the city if you beat her in fisticuffs, 

Many of the companions do not tolerate each other, sometimes they strike at each other.

Not sure which mods are worth it but it makes things a lot more realistic

Sounds kinda like real life one minute everything is peachy next shitstorm.

But, on a serious note there are time when factions are added to a NPC some by you some for no good reason. The guard thing is simple just add her to whiterun faction. So did you hire her in the very start AKA paid her 500 gold if memory serves when you met her? after that she becomes a follower for free. Forcing her or Uthgerd or any follower with a small quest tied to them breaks their AI hence breaks their follower behavior. Load a save before you met her hire her and then dismiss she what happens.

i handled it with "everyone dies" or "Kill 'em All" mod

Sounds like you had Janessa hired, then you had script screw ya. Reverting back prior to previous hire. If you grabbed her and she was good and all you did was schedule wedding then I would look at mods that touch weddings.

 

Something similiar'ish happened to another user few months back where she abandoned user from being hired and could not be rehired.

yes, i hired her for gold at first. then later down the line added amourus adventures and i manage my followers with aft, aft mcm, and follower live package which works with aft. she worked fine for years but bugs out now and i dont have a save prior to that happening unfortunately. im in the CK right now and im not sure what whiterunfaction im supposed to add to her though.

oh no she was bugged before the wedding but began behaving like normal again so i sorted my load order and we got through the wedding but she bugs out if i fight any guard from a hold, not normal enemies but guards specifically. i tchecked and her morals are to commit any crime but...idk its weird, idk what her ties are to guards but im hoping adding her to the whiterun faction like suggested helps, i just need to know which one because im looking at many whitrerun factions in CK

it sounds like you have a bounty, i don't remember the console command to clear/pay them but you must have somehow pissed off her faction. Jenassa doesn't tolerate people who have bounties in WW and aggros them like uthgerd and guards do when they get over a certain point.

i do actually. it is massive lol. i role play a good guy, i was protecting whiterun from vampires a looong time ago and hit a guard that jumped in my way with an ice spike and was forced to kill him when he attacked me, they have been after me ever since. didn't feel i should have to pay it off. i dont get it though, if she is willing to commit any crime why does she mind my bounty? are you sure shes like that

its because she is a resident of the whiterun providence or whatever, she is tied to the faction and will attack anyone with a high bounty on sight.

 

if i remember correctly if you put in the factions id code + "paycrimegold 0 0" it will pay the bounty for you without losing your gold.

 

edit: or since you did kill a guard for no reason you could wait out the jail time.

i have battled guards with jenassa before, she even killed guards when i was retreating so is it a bounty limit before she turns? im hoping this was a machanic and not a bad save issue because i have definitely killed guards with her. and i think i'll just cheat the bounty away, im sure they would wanna put me under the jail, my guy would probably still be there by the time elder scrolls 8 collecters edition launched with 6 and 7 as a bundle lol
