Ideally, you should stick with the body model you prefer. I've used both for a long time and simply preferred the first version of A-body because I like its shape better (personally, I think BodyTalk tends to create more obese or muscular figures).

Ideally, you should install BodyTalk, for example, without adding any other mods that directly affect it; then, shape it with BodySlide sculpting the form to your liking (remembering to tick on "Build Morphs"), and use it as is. If you later need to add other mods (skin, hair, etc.), you'll do so based on the experience you've gained using BodyTalk.

Just remember that, in my experience, it's best to install only one body and then experiment VERY later with clothing, skins, BodySlide, etc.—whatever you want to do with it, customizing it to your liking—to personalize male bodies in Fallout 4 (and learning which BodyTalk related mods generates conflicts or bugs with it)

On the other hand, I can confirm that I never had any problems with AAF animations using BodyTalk, once I achieved a bug-free experience after a lot of research and, above all, uninstalling conflicting mods. Therefore, I recommend installing BodyTalk without any add-ons, starting a new game, and experimenting with this body using AAF and its animations (remember to first create the body in BodySlide, starting with the sliders at zero, especially those related to the penis). Later, once you've confirmed it's working correctly, you can add the mods that affect it (always one at a time) until you get the perfect BodyTalk experience.

The same applies if you try A-Body.

Good luck.

Hi, first thank you for the guide, everything working perfectly!

Second, could I vouch for this mod to appear in the guide?

I played it last year with NG, and I'm trying it now with old gen, both times working as intended.

can i use A-body/A-body v2 instead of body talk4 or no

Yes, A_Body is absolutely designed to work with AAF.

First of all, EXCELLENT instructions here.  Very complete and do a great job of anticipating nearly every problem I had trying to get this running.

---

I'm running steam version of F4 on linux.  The game kept CTD on game load.  TFM directed me to the problem, which was the VC runtime needed updating.  But it didn't include linux-specific steps for updating MSVC++.  I'm posting this here in case it helps someone in the future.

Found on this reddit thread: https://old.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/o7uubb/how_do_i_install_the_microsoft_visual_c_runtime/kvylw0n/

Quote

hit the super button, type protontricks to open up the GUI applet

select the game in your library you want to add the library for and click ok

select default wine prefix, ok

install a windows DLL or component, ok

you'll usually just need vcrun2022, with the title "Visual C++ 2015-2022 Libraries"

or if you're in the future, choose the most recent one, vcrun2025 or whatever, the most recent one includes all libraries since 2015, you can't install vcrun2017 and vcrun2022 at the same time, so just use the most recent one, it includes all of them.

try running it just with vcrun2022 because that's almost always going to be enough, but if it doesn't work and it's still asking for visual c++ runtime, e.g. if it's an older game, or it was developed using legacy libraries, then also check the boxes for the versions between 2003 and 2013. so like check the boxes next to vcrun2003, vcrun2005, ( . . . ), vcrun2013, as well as vcrun2022

hope this helped! also if protontricks can't see your library, open terminal and copy/paste with your own path to your steam library

flatpak override --user --filesystem=/path/to/Steam/Library com.github.Matoking.protontricks

I can't install Vanilla/Kinky/Creature Theme. Tell me what to do? My game version is 1.10.163. I use vortex and write the following.
Errors were reported processing the installer for "AAF_VanillaKinkyCreatureAnimations_Themes_V210819.0".
Installer Prerequisites not fulfilled: File 'aaf.esm' is Active OR
File 'aaf.esp' is Active

Obviously, AAF needs to be installed.

Is there any way I could get this modlist to work with the Lupine player and Lupine NPC mods?

But it's a human-based race. It just works. At least for me, installing "Lupines - Wolf Race" was enough to get Lupine-PC. And what's even more interesting is that despite the CBBE requirement, it works when installed over FG. And with all the FG body features.

I got the stuff from the guide working and all, but when i want to expand on it with mods mentioned it stops working.

I'm trying to copy the seperators and organizing stuff according to those, but i cant see the bottom ones, Devious devices and Fusion girl?

Any got a guide on best practice organizing and what type of mod goes where beyond the stuff in the guide?

The guide has an example of mod load order

Can someone please explain how I download the new version of AAF?  I have accepted the discord invite, read the the terms of use and all the rules, but the nuclear explosion button remains greyed out.

Cheers.

"At least #10 to #31 should be at the VERY BOTTOM OF YOUR MOD ORDER IN MO2, JUST ABOVE OVERWRITE, as shown in the image below. This is also your MOD order for resolving mod conflicts. "

You mean these right?, problem is bunch of the required AFF, Animation Pack and bodies are missing from the shown images, so its difficult to understand the order of installation of mods since in vortex it throws conflicts issue error.

And In 2nd image I cannot see 916 and 922 priority mod.AAFModOrder.JPG.0c2d8277c84494113e5ade0b796dedf2.JPG.a4c7b214c74ac3dea62996b9a18a383c.JPGunnamed(1).png.bb161e7937b559fdd3653ccec1516b9a.png

Hi, I was trying to download the Commonwealth Slavers modpack before doing this, but I prepared everything following this guide. The only thing is, I'm having problems with Buffot, with the downloaded version.
Now I have Fallout 1.11.191.0.0, but I can't find the correct version in the Buffot downloads. What should I do?
(Sorry if I wrote something wrong, but I'm not a native English speaker, and especially if it might be a bit stupid, but I don't understand much about Fallout modding.)

Maybe we should use  Buffout 4 AE  . Try it from nexus

Hello, posting this here because I've been grasping at straws for three days now with no success.

The crux of it is I'm trying to play the MSMA SexFight mod, but the dildo animations don't play. I've uninstalled and reinstalled all the required mods but the issue persists, and the fact that the correct music tracks and notifications still display suggests the issue isn't with the SexFight mod itself. I had this issue the first time a few weeks ago and upgrading to the discord available version of AAF fixed it for a time, but now it's back.

I think it has something to do with AAF or maybe my computer itself is screwing me over. When I went to make usre AAf was installed correctly, the three text lines were added to the Fallout4Custom.ini file, they were missing. Problem is I paste the lines in, save the file, but go into the game still no corresponding animation. I close the game, recheck the file, and the text I pasted is gone. Is this a write permission I need to fix or indicative of a deeper problem? Posting my LOOT Load Order in hopes someone smarter than me can offer some insight into this mess.

The three lines to activate mods depends on your mod manager, i use MO2, vortex is shit. If you're using MO2, you enter them using the in-built ini editor and save. You should then open it again to check they are there. Once you open the game with AAF installed for the first time you should get a notification to say it is installed. If AAF is not installed correctly then no animations will work regardless of what mod is attempting to use them.

That's the really annoying bit. The AAF enabled notification appears like clockwork on a new game startup, but the second I get to a scene/mod event that requires any of its animations to play, nothing. My character just stands there. I've been using Vortex for the longest time, but if this issue persists I might just take the plunge on switching Fallout over to MO2.

I looked but even there you can download only the wrong versions, I guess I will wait for an update or smt

Getting stuck at the 'install Buffout' step.

MO2 keeps throwing a 'Buffout4.dll is incompatible with current game version' error.
Fresh install of F04 and all other mods. Not finding anybody else experiencing this, all i'm finding are people reporting the 'Buffout loading too late' problem.
Anybody have any ideas?
