lifesuckz69 Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 I had to delete my skyrim cause of HDD space issues, a long time ago and would like to get back into it, but it's a bitch and a half to get everything ready with the general skyrim basic necessities + bodies + sexmods and modules and all that stuff. I once had a mod that basically got skeleton and body replacers through an installer ready and you only had to add some modules and before I stopped playing there was talk about a launcher with shared mod lists that also almost do everything automatic. So what I'm asking is, is there some mods or programs or threads/pages where you have everything in a place or at least barely need to add something?
Just Don't Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 Wabbajack is an automated installer for Nexus mods + some custom patches, it requires Nexus Premium but the existing setups doesn't contain any LL mods. And chances are you'll break most of the custom patching if you install any mods on top and don't know what you're doing. So nope, the other option is to read the description of the mods you intend to install and get all the required mods and settings manually. Using a good mod manager will save you time, so learn how to use MO or Vortex, xEdit / Wrye Bash and any other tool you know you'll be using.

Yeah. I can see the appeal in some tool to cut some corners and get a certain setup with less effort. True is, in time that advantage turns into a major drawback when the user doesn't know the basics about how to handle their mods, don't know where this message or that feature is coming from, or how to solve simple issues. I think Wabbajack will offer a solid end product for people who want more content without asking questions and with no desire to tweak anything at all. So it's clearly not made for everyone, specially people who want to try mods from around here.

No, I already modded Skyrim like 5 times in the past, 2 times fallout 4, 3 times F:NV and going back to Oblivion. It's not that I don't understand how to mod the game, but for the same reason I also know that it is a tedious and time consuming thing for playing it possibly like a week or so. 4 hours ago, donttouchmethere said: that might have been: https://www.loverslab.com/files/file/2476-all-in-one-hdt-animated-pussy/ Oh yeah, it was that one. I assume everything is outdated. 3 hours ago, dontknowdontcaredontask said: Yeah. I can see the appeal in some tool to cut some corners and get a certain setup with less effort. I wouldn't know how to make mods myself, but I did merge and troubleshoot a shitton in the past and messed around with custom textures and those CBBE studios. I just made this thread to see if there happens to be a less tedious way since back then, cause I know that if I sit down and decide to go down that spiral, I'll end up with 20GB of mods and a lost day.

Wabbajack. Nexus Premium + some minimal reading of the modules (or whatever the name of the "modpacks" they use) and use it to get a basis. If you know what you're doing you should be able to install LL mods on top of what Wabbajack gives you. Thing is, if you want to tweak or change a lot of what Wabbajack gives you, you'll likely get issues and may not be worth your time. Besides, how many mods you intend to use?

Not everything, but yes your right you have to overwrite it with some newer versions of mods. For example don't let it touch MNC SLAL, XPMSE, ABC HDT creature dicks and stuff like that.

Yeah, sounds like that one wouldn't be really that much of a shortcut in the end. Regarding how many mods: I tend to go overboard either way, but I had hoped that there was an easier way to get the "must haves" out of the way without downloading here/tracking down the mods on nexus first.
WiteXDan Posted March 24, 2020 Posted March 24, 2020 Find a good modlist you want and install it, always killing temptation to add something when you're installing. (Here is one: https://modwat.ch/u/NoppaiKohai/modlist . Ask ppl on forum, discord, reddit etc. if you want something else). It's still not automated, but I find finding mods to create good build most important step
