chocoduo Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 So I've had this problem for a couple of weeks. I decided to make a fresh save but my game keeps CTD when switching to female. I've tried disabling mods, reinstalling and updating however I still have this problem. I've also CTD on saves that were fine before the recent update to sse. skoomajunkie610 Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 You might want to move cbbe.esp, racemenu.esp, racemenumorphsCBBE.esp, and racemenuplugin.esp close to the top of the load order. Make sure for all your other mods (that conflict with the named plugins.) overwrite the listed plugins' files. Also what mod organizer are you using?

After that, run LOOT once, run the game each time you enable one mod at the top of the list and see if you get CTD. By doing this you can easily distinguish the problematic mod.

It is possible that the OP needs to update their version of RaceMenu. That, or one of the mods has a bad mesh. If the latter it is likely that there will be CTDs in the presence of other females (NPCs). If the former is true then RaceMenu needs to be looked at as the cause.

chocoduo Posted February 16, 2020 Author Posted February 16, 2020 I run loot every time I update the game. Im also running on an older mod organiser. The nmo, never changed it to vortex. Also using the updated racemenu. I only get CTD when I change to a female character on the character creation menu. Im able to run my older female character saves and don't CTD when encountering a female npc. Argonian and khagit females don't cause CTD in character creation. The male game runs fine.
agiz19 Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 it seems that your LOOT is not LOOTing properly hence the esp order you posted ,its completely different order than in mine and we have quite a lot of the same mods active, also you said you have NexusModManager - the only advice I can give you is to throw it away and use ModOrganizer2(portable version) to mod your game...I am running 238 esps and never had any kind of CTD in SSE ever.

Character creation screen showed default male character. When I changed sex to female, the game locked up and I had to restart my computer. The problem was the body mesh was wrong. I built the wrong mesh in bodyslide, so the game was trying to load a mesh that didn't have the right bones and so on. Once I made the right mesh in bodyslide, the problem was solved. It still took a long time for the female to load in the char creation screen, and it takes a LONG time to load into the game from character creation, but at least its moving in the right direction.

If I use mod organizer 2 can I import my mod order from nmm or would I have to re add everything? I haven't modded in a while besides updating and adding outfits. I'll definetly look into the LOOT order because I also found it strange how mods that were once on the top ended up being on the bottom. Thanks!

Was it an outfit mesh or just the bodyslide of your character
agiz19 Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 When I switched to MO 2 , I was still playing Oldrim before so with SSE I just modded the whole thing again, but there is a possibility to transfer your mods so you don't need to download again , here is the guide to setup MO 2 and you will have to reinstall your mods, its just you wont have to download them again , read carefully : https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1576728345 And use Mod Organizer 2 portable version, because you can put it anywhere and even transfer it to other drives without problems
