Pregnancy bug?

Ok, so...

 

After I updated WW a while ago, suddenly my sims didn't get pregnant anymore, even though my settings were the same as usual. Then after another update, it was fixed.

 

But now, sadly, they don't get pregnant again. I've tried putting the extreme-option on to increase chances, but guess what... STILL NO PREGNANCY? It's like even though it says there should be a 70% change (example) of pregnancy, it just never happens...

 

Is this a bug others are having? It really upsets me :l

Quite often when WW is updated some of the settings are changed back to WW defaults with Pregnancy disabled.

 

You will need to go through all the pregnancy settings again and there are quite a few besides the percentage the need changing.

 

Extreme sex doesn't change pregnancy settings but only the frequency of sex.

Thanks for reply! I'll have a look through all the settings and see if I can find the reason behind the lack of pregnancies xD

 

With "extreme" I meant that I set the fertility chance to extreme, which when at it's highest should mean 100% chance for pregnancy, which still didn't happen.

There doesn't seem to be anything I can change to fix it.

 

I never had a problem after an update (althought this IS now the second time I have issues with the pregnancies), but I can't find anything anywhere about other people having the same problem. I just can't figure out what causes it

Sorry I can't look at my settings as I'm still running WW 147i.

It does work with the latest game patch BTW.

As long as you don't have newer versions of Nisa's WP and Kinky Whims that is.

 

The only other thing that might be causing it is birth control, think it should be 'simple'.

And check the boxes for 'sims never use birth control'.

 

Careful: if you have a hundred kids and another hundred townie relationships your game may start to lag and act like slideshow sometimes.

I had been playing with aging disabled on an older save with too many relationships and had to remove quite a few to fix it.

I don't have Nisa's or Kinky, so that shouldn't be it ^_^ 

 

I've checked birth control off and npc's don't use it either, so that also can't be it. I DO still get the notification that my sim may be pregnant, but that is never the case. I guess all I can really do is maybe hope for the next game and WW update to fix it, as it did once before

If you're getting the notification it should be working.

 

Or you might have another mod blocking it.

 

You can also try doing an Origin Repair in case it's a corrupted game file.

 

Don't forget to delete your localthumbcache in your TS4 folder to clear old data.

I just find it weird since it's never been an issue, and suddenly they never get pregnant, even with extremely high fertility :S

Well if your desperate you could always revert back to WW 147i anyway.

You may want to update to 150d which is supported.

 

Or backup (to be able to restore them) and reset all WW settings. This should help unless a random other mod causes it.

 I'm using the 147i now, and that works! So I'd recommend using that one until it's fixed, hopefully with the next update

well this is my last post on the subject of pregnancy and sperm from npcs bug.
I have this problem since December and I tried to configure and create a new sims with just ww and nothing works.
WW can have bugs with certain people and others not example (always accept sex) I never had a problem with him but I was seeing a lot of people complain.

Please we just want to have fun with ww, in the meantime i will have to go back to the sims 3, sorry for the translator

Ok so I did a good bit of testing and this is what i have found out. Just to clarify my chances of pregnancy are set to 100%. When my sim tries to get pregnant by a visiting sim they can do so as long as they do a pregnancy test while the visiting sim is present. But if the sim leaves and my sim does a pregnancy test he is not pregnant so it's like the visiting sim leaving changes the pregnancy chance to 0. I must have ran this test 25 times to be sure. Mind you I've removed all mods, deleted all cache files and did a repair and the end result is the same. Maybe this will help with the search of what's wrong.

I have not tested that myself, but maybe I should. If that is the case, that's still gotta be a bug right?  No matter what it is I really, really hope it'll be fixed! It greatly bothers me. It used to work flawlessly

You do indeed seem to be right. My sim also got pregnant, no problem, at her own place. I don't know yet if the male sim has to be there for the pregnancy to occur, but he was in present in this case. So that works at least. Which is strange :S Going to an npc's place, trying to get pregnant and then go back home doesn't work at all.

I've been having the same problem for a while now as well. Also, even if the male sim is in the actual house, still no pregnancy. It's getting really annoying. Sometimes it does work when I start an entirely new game but eventually it will stop working again.

I hope this gets fixed soon.
