(v1.4.3) Mod Organizer 2 & Other tools - From zero to "Hey Sexlab is working!"

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the reply . Since then, I’ve wiped it out and reinstalled everything, including steam. Exceptions checked for anti-virus software.
The problem persists with FNIS XXL, even after disabling all security software. Standard version of FNIS
works, but screens that flash during data processing appear. The game starts, but during the game (test) the animals and the surface of the water
it vibrates, especially when I move. I'm trying to make a papyrus diary,
see if he says something else.

Not sure tbh, the few times I get that issue I disable real time protection on WD for the 30 sec I need to use Nemesis and move on. Thing is if FNIS can't run properly you would get T-poses everywhere, so I'm not sure if the problem is still there. And you shouldn't need to reinstall everything, unless you did something horribly wrong.

So animals and water vibrating? I'm not sure what's the exact issue you're describing, but I know the mods covered here don't touch either creatures nor water, so whatever you have going on is something else you added and I'm not aware of, or another underlying issue on your setup. Either way, I think this is a bit out of the scope of this thread, you could try asking on the tech support section providing any relevant info about your complete setup and see if someone else has something to say.

  • Just Don't changed the title to (v1.1.4) Mod Organizer 2 & Other tools - From zero to "Hey Sexlab is working!"

The former bug (vibrating the water surface and jumping the animals) has been fixed after updating the nvidia video card to the latest version of the gamer experience. So far, it was simply the latest update,
but this does not configure the video card for the game. The lesson: if you have a program for your video card that sets the configuration for your game (automatically or manually), choose it.

Thanks for the great guide. Just one comment, not sure if anyone pointed that before, but the link to JContainers in Nexus lead to an AE version. It took me sometime to figure that was the reason no animation packages appeared in my SLAL MCM page. I finally found an older version, compatible with 1.5.97, at https://github.com/ryobg/JContainers/releases/tag/v4.1.12 and that fixed it for me.

Thanks for pointing that out. The previous versions are also under Old files in the same mod page though. I took the time to upload a new PDF to integrate specific instructions to avoid incompatibilities. Currently the guide will link and specify which files are made for SE 1.5.97 and SKSE 2.0.20. If users want to play on 1.6+ they will need to find the proper version and files on their own. I don't see the point in supporting 1.6+ at the moment because there are some mods not fully supported.

Ah I see. Good to know you solved this. It's been a while since I used Geforce Experience or other tools to update my drivers. I do manual updates 2-3 times a year and be done with it, so it's not' something I consider for troubleshoot. I'll keep this in mind for future similar issues.

You see I reinstalled cbbe and cbbe 3bb i even clicked on no underwear

Exact same problem you had before someone linked this guide to you? Weird. Did you follow the instructions though? Your issue is likely building another set for the female body that isn't naked, or another mod is replacing the model for the player character/adding underwear to it. No way to know since the information you shared is so sparse, and you're using mods not covered here.

Also my mod manger is vortex

Then why are you posting on a MO2 guide?

I trust you can verify if you built something else in Bodyslide, or if you have another mod you installed that is causing your issue. If you're not following the instructions here, you're using other mods before getting the basics working, or even using a different mod manager, I don't see the point in checking things myself.

This is one of the best resources, thanks a lot.  One suggestion I'd like to make is to mention that LOOT causes MO to slow down severely and it may be best to restart MO after, at least that works very well for me.

In all my years using MO I have never experienced what you mention. I can't find any open issues on the mo2 github or other similar reports either. It seems like whatever you're describing is something on your side and not a common occurrence.

If that's the case, ok then maybe it's on my end, indeed, I'm running MO2 through wine on Linux, or rather the steam/proton version. and then it's platform specific and should not have to be mentioned in the docs, of course. Restarting really does make a difference for me. The slowdown after sorting is not directly noticeable, but when I've sorted a few times MO2 becomes really sluggish.

That's definitely a factor here. And one I'm sure won't affect most users. Congrats on getting that working though. You could try leaving a report on the mo2 github/discord in case this is something they can fix or workaround on their end.

Your guide is pure tech porn!

NMM became too slow for my excessive modding endeavors and the existence of your guide made the switch from NMM to MO2 a swift action.

I use your guide for LE, but I doesn't make so much difference as soon as the listed mod versions are exchanged for LE ones.

So many details explained I would have done wrong otherwise.

Thank you, now I can say my dream of making porn is technically fulfilled. And I'm happy to read it was useful for you.

So if I install the downgrade patcher to best of both worlds, what skse do I use, 2.1.5 ae (game version or 2.0.20) or 2.0.20 SE (game version 1.5.97) ?

Also, I'm having problems with LOOT:

loot.exe bad image

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\MSVCP140.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc000012f.

How do I fix this? I can't use to program!

This is covered in the guide. Both versions of the Downgrade Patcher give you a game version of 1.5.97, so you must use SKSE 2.0.20. The rest of the guide has the same magenta lines to denote when you need to grab something specifically for 1.5.97.

All I can find is generic Visual C++ troubleshooting. Try reinstalling the VC Redistributables from 2015-2019 (as shown here, link to download it from Microsoft is in the video description).

You can mod your game without worrying about it breaking with one simple trick. Just endlessly add mods until you don't want to think about Skyrim anymore and never open it again.

Hello, I followed the guide and everything worked great aside from one thing...

When i getrun the FNIS tool for users i get an error on the very last line.

ERROR(76): Could not find a part of the path 'D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\data\scripts\FNISVersionGenerated.pex'.

-other than that everything seems to be working just fine.

Windows Defender or other antivirus software is likely interfering with MO and other programs that need to run in the virtual folder system. Disable real time protection while you run FNIS and other programs, or add your entire working folder (or individual executables) as an exclusion to WD.
