Next DLC pack

Am I the only one who thinks knitting was the worst & most boring choice in that poll by Maxis & EA about what the nest DLC should be?

What, did only old ladies vote when it came time to do so?

I chose the one that had the virtual friend in it.  I thought the modders could do a lot with that one.

The Sims series primary player base is looking for a wide range of mundane and trans-mundane role-playing choices alike so one should expect to see things such as this included for one's elderly sims alongside mermaids and aliens or college as an alternative to a magical academy.

Virtual friends might have been too sci-fi after an expansion which included robots which itself followed up on not one but two packs including new super natural sim types.

Modding potential is not what people and maxis have in mind when they make a choice.

I would prefer the theme arround ghost, haunted house and spiritism, but I think FauxFurry is right, people like to roleplay. Realistic content are more popular.

It is the absolute WORST. Granted it's a cute idea, but dedicating an entire pack to it. Hecks no. Knitting is a hobby. If they wanted to do this, then do a hobby centered pack similar to FreeTime for TS2. Honestly, all of the options they had for their pack ideas seems like things that should have gone in packs that had previously been released. All of the healthy stuff? Should have been in the fitness pack. All of that spooky stuff? Should have been in the spooky pack. However, even though it may not be my cup of tea, it seems like quite a few people really wanted this in their game so I am happy on that front that they get to have it.

Honestly, the vote expressed the fact that you didn't really have anything really specific for elders and the game was really missing it. But I agree to the fact that this poll was maybe a try from EA to have the public view and also have finally people that are happy to see a new pack and are not ''Oh no but I wanted this or that in the game...'' by doing this they don't have to defend their choice.

But it is also a quick way to have money, they reuse old ideas maybe so that people can concentrate on this and they can test others thing for a bigger pack or addon along without people trying to guess.

All this vote is to still have publicity will not releasing anything.

Nothing much on the list I was interested in.

 

I didn't even bother to vote because the things I want added are not likely to ever happen anyway.

 

Spiral Staircases, Diving Boards, Pool Slides, Bunk Beds, Juicer/Smoothie Maker, Orange Trees for Juice, Billiards Table, more Arcade Games like pinball.

 

Even a farm type DLC would be more interesting than knitting.

I'm with Scorpio. I want to see some of what is listed in that comment, but I would love to see sim drivable cars and the fucking ability to travel wherever I want to again without a load screen. I loved traveling around and just stopping or seeing other things. I just don't see it happening.

The DLC will be a $10 stuff pack which I will likely not buy.

Knitting may be fine, allowing to craft stuff for GTW shops or the own home. Glass artwork and mosaics should be nice. Also a glassblower rabbithole/GTW career wouldn't be bad. Not sure if these things will be inculded or not.

Probably in the not-yet-planned 'Discworld' expansion pack you can play Death or the Death of rats. Anyhow visiting sims who get murdered or die may be a quite boring job.  Little Death for the WW adicted may be more interesting.
