FDI is fine. That's what I run with her and have no issues.

The conflict with XDI has been resolved, and the error message you get in that regard is a holdover from earlier versions of Ivy that just hasn't been removed.

I can't do anything with the "XDI dll is missing" message box, should I have both mods installed? Meaning I'm unable to progress in any way with the large gray box covering any action.

So my character is level 60 and Ivy is in love. After the beginning scene plays in Steins Construct I see little Debbie running away and then I immediately die. happened like 15 times already cant seem to do anything to stop it and I am not standing in the light... Clean playthrough with Ivy since Sanctuary. is there a command i can use to get through in the console or do I have start over? Loaded earlier saves within Nuka World but every time I get into Steins Construct I get taller and just ragdoll on the floor; Bummed...

Load the part where the cinematic start (e.g. where Stein catches you and Ivy and puts you both under).

Make sure your flashlight is OFF.

As soon as the cinematic started, open the console and try this:

set _stein_light_override to 1

I have no idea what I did to break Ivy.   I had Ivy as my main companion, and had synth Curie as the secondary using RAM-FM, of course.    I am running around the commonwealth, suddenly they both just walked away.  I tried teleporting ivy back, but she just walked away again. She went to her place in Sanctuary.  Curie, I found, went back to the lab in in Vault 81.

I had to turn off Ivy's teleport because every time I drew my weapon afterward, she would teleport to me.  Then walk away immediately, drawing heavy fire, but not fighting back.

In all fairness i did have xdi with the ivy patch installed.   Maybe the patch is broken?   I have also been installing and removing a bunch of high rez textures.   It is weird though , even after I turned off RAM-FM  Curie still will not follow me.   she just stays in the lab.   I may try and reset her.   Currently running with Piper.

no patch is required to use XDI with Ivy 6.0

Likely culprit is the constant random changes in your load order from installing/uninstalling other mods. (unless you have been manually swapping them out and not using your mod manager at all)

Changing your load order mid-game *will* break your game

Yes there is a known issue there. Teleport Ivy to you right before entering that room and talk to Shaun.
Alternatively if it doesn't work, temporarily dismiss her before talking to Shaun.

I only started to play Ivy like a month ago and I got this bug. As Ivy is by far the best follower I have I was really like aargh noooooo... and no way in hell I would dismiss or delete her.

Big thanks for this solution it works like a charm.

And cheers for this mod of course.

oops: maybe I better put that this is related to the quest when you enter the institute and need talk to Shaun.

Fantastischer Mod! Ich liebe es.

Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, die geschlechtsspezifischen Dialoge zu ändern?

Ich bin also ein weiblicher Charakter und möchte, dass Ivy mich als Mann anspricht.

Why?

Why should one of the biggest innovations of this mod - the correct addressing of the player gender - be abandoned?

Due to the desire of a single person?

Because hundreds of happy users of the mod don't matter at all?

Dude chill.

I was just asking if that's possible.

Touch some grass please and relax.

Fantastic mod! I love it.

Is there a way to change the gender specific dialogs?

So I am a female character and I want that Ivy adresses me as a male.

As far as Ivy goes, there is no such setting. However, I thought there was a separate mod out there that did that for the PC. I'll be damned if I can remember what it was called.

It'd also be very difficult to implement in the engine. Each line of dialogue that could be gender specific is conditioned in the dialogue. It would require intricate OR constructions (which are a complete bitch in dialogue conditions) to work and would likely introduce a lot of glitches. Right now the engine only knows a counter for the current player gender. Unfortunately that's not set in a global, but is an actual function call which returns a bit (0 or 1). And that condition is now added to hundreds of gender specific lines for Ivy.

BEST MOD EVER!!!

Пич, тоя мод е направо чудесен. Малко мръснишки, в началото лековат... но после... тамън свърших последното изпитание. Много дълбоко, много тежко, много добро. Бъди жив и здрав и поздрави от България.

Greetings from Bulgaria.

Hi,

Does anyone knows when is ivy intervene in conversation the earliest  possible ?

Just testing it work or not with  multiple follower overhaul (not aft)

Thx

And follow up question

Does the "check mod health" inside the nx2 holotape is reliable ? Meaning if it say That "no issues found" is it really or does it only do a basic check ?

For:  yippee ki yay and Reginald

AFT stands for AMAZING FOLLOWER TWEAKS , hence AFT . Would post the FO4 NEXUS website for you but I don't know how to do that. Sorry. If your playthrough only crashes during combat, you might want to check your chip speed [mine runs at 4.2 gig]; you might want to check your memory [I have 32 GB]; you might want to check and see that your video card is set up for gaming, not some other type of software [mine was setup for ADOBE READER of all things]; I have used BETHINI and not used BETHINI, and my game still occasionally crashes. So, good luck.

Now some musings for IVY'S originator Reginald:

Great MOD. After screwing up NUKA WORLD [hasn't everybody?] and losing her, I felt like I lost my best friend. Her excitement over the porn mags was funny and informative - I checked - the mags are real!!!  By-the-way - She looks like one of Pres Biden's cabinet members.

1. using v6.0

2. she asks for toothpaste, but doesn't respond when I give her some, unlike asking for sugar bombs after eating mole-rat;

3. no way to hug her;  eventhough she writes in her diary she stopped hugging her clients for you;

4. no way to kiss her; eventhough KISS is sometimes her response to a question;

5. she initiates sex. strictly from her. only. unlike SKYRIM. with full video if you want it.

6. yes I failed miserably at NUKA WORLD. but in my defense this is a first-person shooter. Where I usually make all the calls. Never expected her and Dr. Stein to gang up on me or her to turn on me so quickly; kinda makes all the I LOVE YOU FOREVERs a big lie. Never expected the MOD to stop working and have her gone forever, or at least until I start again.

7. She talks alot. She asks alot of questions. The vault dweller has no response to most of them. Don't know how to add lines to the vault dweller so there can/could be more/better dialog between them.

8. I travel with Heather Casdin. Every playthrough. I don't think they recognize each other. Don't know why/how Heather doesn't take up a slot, but Ivy has to be prime. I have Fusion City Rising installed as well. Don't know how to have the boy as a follower while completing that MOD. Seems that AFT is a no no; is there ANY follower mod that you approve of or do I have to dismiss Ivy, complete the other MOD quests, then hire Ivy again?

9. There are more musings, but I'll shut up for now. I will volunteer to help you. All you have to do is ask. I no longer work. Maybe it won't take two years to update Ivy next time... Thanks for a fabulous MOD. PS It's probably one of the best companion MOD I've ever installed; I do like Willow [FONV] and Serana [Skyrim] - but Ivy tops them all.

I hope I haven't offended anyone during my rant.

Just so everyone's aware.

Following the post above, I thought it a good idea to mention. Amazing Follower Tweaks will break Ivy. It's been confirmed, AFT and Ivy are not compatible. Not even maybe. There is a script in that mod that prevents certain dialogue options for Ivy (Guaranteed), and once the script has been triggered in a game / save, it is irreversible.

This mod author expressly states not to run the 2 mods together.

In my (ancedotal) experience: Amazing Follower Tweaks is largely incompatible with Fallout 4 as is XD

Nevermind Ivy or not.

Even early on in my modding (mis)adventures with a relatively demure modding load-order. AFT would be the constant main suspect and/or all-too-common culprit of my problems.

And with a 131 unresolved Bugs on its Nexus page and google often autofilling '~ not working' , I am confident in my accusation. It is a mod that will likely break things.

Very likely to break things if you have any 'special' companions or use companions a lot. Which is ironic and sad.

I honestly do not think there is a 'good' multiple followers mod. But I have been using Multiple Followers Overhaul with limited problems, headache and scuff. Especially in comparison to AFT.

Or head on over to Ivy's Discord and download RAM-FM which is the only officially supported multi-follower mod for Ivy:

Mine as well. I recall the inability to properly dismiss Ada after completing her quest.

It's important to mention that when you say "It will break things" (and it will) You can't just uninstall the mod and fix the problem. Scripts run in the save that cannot be removed, ever.

You have to start a new game. Maybe... you can go back to a save from before you recruited anyone.....maybe.
