Hannes084 Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 There are some mods and programs to help with these issues. To find out if your CC is causing issues just use Sims Studio to go thru them and delete the ones that don't work for example. If it's a mod, use a program called Mod Conflict Detector to check which one it is. Installing both should be the first step before going thru repair etc but unfortunately not many modders mention it.

I fear, your advice will not help - because he / we mostly already did so (regular basics for every patch). It is not a mod / CC conflict and no bad / not updated mod / CC but a bug by EA.

So using those programs to find out which ones have an issue is always a good idea. Whether it's due to the update or not
DarkAudit Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Short notice 400MB patch inbound. Get your Origin offline ASAP. That's all the info I have at present. Patch notes due later.
Crazy Doll Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Patch what? I can't read!! Wait no I don't even know how to read... Be back soon to cry coz my game & mods are fucked up. Kisses.
Malandar Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 If you didn't already have your origin set to not update games you are already fucked, I turned on origin and as fast as I could set it to not update games but it was too late the only option I have for sims 4 now is to update the fucking thing. I am seriously pissed now.
B10HAZARD. Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Having auto-updates turned on while running "Any" Modded game just does not make any sense to me at all. I cannot believe people are still doing this. Whooosh! my mind is blown. ?
thechubbyfoxx Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 there are people who are new to mods and dont know to do this.
modella Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Imagine me, happily about to open my game to test out some new CC and then SPAWN OF SATAN Origin hits me with a notification that I need to update my game. I promptly noped my way out of that and turned off the wifi.
GamePlayGeek Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Holy shit i caught it with 12 seconds left thank you so much
DarkAudit Posted December 13, 2019 Posted December 13, 2019 My post on Thursday afternoon was for a new patch that had nothing to do with this November thread. So how did it end up here?
DarkAudit Posted December 14, 2019 Posted December 14, 2019 Still no answer to why an unrelated thread was merged. So it goes. Anyway. If you're having issues with the game suddenly going to 3x speed when some of your sims are at work or at school, do you have a maid? Try canceling the maid service. The man of the house has a weekday day job, so having a hot maid doesn't really matter any more. *shrug*
Hannes084 Posted December 14, 2019 Posted December 14, 2019 Honestly don't know what the issue is. I update my game instantly when there is an update, run a Mod Conflict Detector and Sims 4 Studio. Very randomly do I have any issues with patches. It's not EA's fault the mod you're using is breaking the game. Mods are custom content you use at your own risk anyway. Most of them get updated IF there is an issue. I'm not gonna stop updating my game for one mod.

Especially when you consider the last patch fixed a ton of EA bugs that came with the last EA patch, including the gardening bug. Those EA patch bugs had nothing to do with Mods. Yes the game may load and work without any mods but who wants to play S4 without mods. Most of us around here are using far more than 1 or 2 Mods but the problem is some of them(newbs) should not be updating anything and everything they see. Do as you wish tho, but not everyone is in the same boat as you remember.
