Making a staff please help

Hi ?

 

I want to make a staff with the spell "Pluck" from useful alteration, I need a tutorial designed for people who just don't get it. ?

 

I have tried a few and I just am not getting it. I can do some things in CK but this is just totally confounding me. 

 

effects trigger spells? or spells are effects and sometimes the effect doesn't say anything... 

 

So I need some help like step by step instructions designed for captain stoopid defacto leader of the idiot brigade! ?‍♀️That's me! 

 

Ideally what I am trying to create is something to act like a butterfly net. A staff that uses a spell that catches butterflies.

I never tried that myself ... yet. Magic is still uncharted territory for me.

 

But from my big pile of todo collections:

Okay, I've never done it either but it looks straightforward.

 

1) In the CK (of course) go to Magic, then Enchantment (since the spell you want is from a mod make sure you load that mod also when you load the data although you want your own plug-in as the active plug-in)

2) Under the section that says "Editor ID" right click and choose new

3) Fill in all the basic stuff on the left side (Id, name, etc.) and choose Staff Enchantment for type

4) On the right hand side right click and select new; choose the enchantment you want from the dropdown menu (this is where it's really important that your other mod has been selected or it won't work) and click auto-calc at the bottom.

5) Click OK and you should have created a new staff that you can console command in (or add to a chest somewhere or whatever).

 

This will result in a hard dependency on the mod!
